Well, I was referred to Dr. Johnson after I was admitted into the ER last month for severe throat & ear pain. The nurses & staff were great. Dr. Johnson was a very pleasant individual. He answered all of my questions & really put me at ease considering the news I received. The flare ups I was having with my throat, I figured I just needed my tonsils removed. Well, Dr. Johnson informed that it could be my allergies. Well we scheduled the test & my goodness, I’m allergic to almost every darn thing the good Lord created. I must say that I was relieved to figure out what was causing my headaches & throat to have its flare ups. I am glad I was recommended to Dr. Johnson.

To update my review, I have to drop it down a bit and here is why. Dr. Johnson is a very friendly doctor who is easy to talk to. He listens to what you have to say and never seems to rush or try to get you done and out the door. He has a great«bedside manner». HOWEVER…I went to see him after regular doctors could not diagnose a chronic cough/sore throat I had for over 2 months. He did a scope, prescribed me medication for a fungal infection and made it seem like«well, they’ve tried everything else, let’s try THIS». When that didn’t work, I went back(2 – 3 weeks later) and he tried to do a another scope. I have a BAD gag-reflex and he was unable to complete another scope, so he basically stopped mid-way and said«we’ll just send you to our specialist Dr. Beaver.» He may not have used the word«specialist»…but basically, he was sending me to the«top dog». I’m not bothered that he couldn’t figure out what was wrong and sent me to someone else… I’m not even giving 2 stars to the doctor himself… what irritates me is that I was still charged a $ 30 office co-pay, PLUS $ 115 for the scope, even though he didn’t complete it. THAT rubbed me the wrong way. Shame on you Texas ENT!

we went with my husband to ENT, the wait was long. the doctor finally saw him and was just there with us for 3 mins, he send us to watch a video and that was it. We pay our co pay for doctor visit and later we receive a bill, I call my husband Insurance company and they said ENT made 2 charges on the same day. I being calling for two weeks to the billing department or customer service but it will go staight to voice mail, the only place they answer is the appointment line and they cant help. I have left 30 messages, no one seem to care or answer. I will recommend staying out of this place, unless you want to get bill twice.

Hats off to Dr Castillo, Amy from audiology and the rest of the office. They are very helpful and courteous even when I’ve squeezed in due to an urgent medical issue. I always leave there office feeling as if I’ve gotten the best possible medical treatment.

Contrary to Sue A.‘s experience my last 3 visits in the span of this past year have gone reasonably well. My wait times averaged about 15 minutes and due to my condition/needs I was very much in and out without delays. Dr Johnson was friendly to deal with and was informative but did not pressure me in any way. Due to this I decided on my own to go ahead with the procedure which was more of a cosmetics as opposed to a health issue. However I did suffer the same problem in that my prescriptions were not received by my pharmacy so it did take me a little extra time to resolve that. Overall I am content and would recommend.
