Taqueria El Rey de Jalisco

We’ve been to this location a few times as it is just a couple of blocks from our house. The food has always been really good when we’ve ordered but the wait is hellacious and we’ve always been one out of four or so other groups when we ordered food. We’ve only dined in once and all other times we got our food to-​go. I am giving it four stars though because my family isn’t usually in a hurry and the quality of the food is more important than the time it takes to get to us… unless we’re starving. Probably shouldn’t come here if you’re starving hungry.

Beware don’t eat the beans! We decided to try this location since it was closer than their other restaurant Mi Hacienda on Richey. We have always had good experience at the other location, but we were highly disappointed here! Our order did come out quick, it smelled and looked delicious. However the beans were salty and that’s not the worst. I took a bite and there was a rock! Yes a rock! When bit into it I nearly crackle my implant. I was pissed off, but was polite when i told the waitress. See my parents know the owners. So when she asked if everything was fine? I replied, No! this was in my beans. I showed her the two pieces. She then took the pieces from me and headed to the kitchen. Minutes later the owner comes by, We thought to at least offer an apology, but not one word was mentioned! He talked about everything but that! When I went to pay I brought up to one of his daughters and she just giggled, REALLY! Never again. Our family had been eating at their establishments for years and that’s hire we were treated. Needless to say we were highly disappointed with the lack of concern from the owner for his customers. This can happen to you so be careful especially with your children!

Has 4 tacos de chicharron and A torts de lengua. Decent food but I think I was overcharged. $ 14.92?
