Lacking cleanliness, service, food quality. I I’m all about helping all sorts of venues but enough is enough. I only order 2 orders of spring rolls, a large phở and a medium phở that should total $ 22& change but not $ 30 when asked for receipt she just wrote on a clean sheet of paper, I pointed out its not adding up. She ended up refunding some but not all. Not coming at all, sticking to my Simply Phở in midtown. So much for coming to eat here after doctors appointment.

Horrible experience! Went to eat some Phở and found a roach inside of it. Told the owner and she didn’t seem surprised about it. Will never go back the service sucks too. The owner spends more time watching TV and looking at her phone then checking on the kitchen or seeing how the customer is doing. Never Again! Would put no stars if I could.

Not good at all Do Not Go Here! You will be disappointed with everything from the service to the food to the bill. Over priced and under cooked. My family did not eat our dinner and we wasted our time and money. The workers were very loud and yelling back to the kitchen staff. I know I will never return and I hope I help you to stay clear of the restaurant to.

This is the worst vietnamese food I’ve ever had. My husband got the combination phở and they skipped out on the veggies and meat. Broth was o-kay but nothing special. It’s a bit expensive $ 8.95 for a mediocre large phở bowl. Got a combination banh mi. It consists of shredded carrots, cucmbers, two slices of thin pork roll, and ham store bought deli sandwich. Something you would buy at walmart. And a splash of soy sauce. Cost $ 3.75. Just plain horrible. The place has a depressing look to it. Walls painted in horrible yellow color with chipped paint… very depressing place just like the food. I wouldn’t rate this place with even a one star Again. stay away.

When you walk in, we were the only ones here, they didn’t greet, or ask us to sit down. So we just picked a table. The waitress just stood in front of us until we were ready to order. I felt like I needed to order fast. No kids menu, so not the greatest for kids. There is an employee sleeping a couple tables behind us, which I think is very inappropriate. The food on the other hand is great! I would totally get food to-go!

Delish! All dishes made to order every time. Great fresh taste. Hits the spot. I stop by once a week. Call ahead, takes a few minutes to get our food ready but worth the wait for sure. Little family eatery. Cozy. Soups and sammies hit the spot. Amazing comfort food, Great grilled flavors on grilled dishes. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Tam’s…

I love this place! My husband brought me here on a date when we were still bf/gf and I fell in love with it. I even took my brother and sister here for their first plate of phở and won them over. Only thing if its your first time going i kinda thought it was awkward when the lady just stood there waiting for our entire order when we LITERALLY just got there. And they take forever sometimes but its worth the wait! Lemonade you can tell its home made. I usually get spicy noodle with beef. And my husband gets rare beef with egg noodles. This place is a small local place and they speak very little english. So dont expect to be wowed when you walk in. But I highly recommend.

This place seems to always be a hit and miss. The Phở can be really good at times but I have had the experience of the meat having a weird flavor as well as the noodles being over cooked and gummy. I don’t think I will come back.

It’s all about the broth!!! Anybody can buy and boil vermicelli noodles but if you don’t have the right and awesome soup base your phở is nothing!!!

Food is ok. But the workers or owners are very noisy. They talk at the top of their lungs. Could not enjoy my food.

No, no, no. Just no. The east side of Houston(I’m talking the real east side, no EaDo) is severely lacking in good Vietnamese food, and in my desire for phở close by I decided to give this place a try. As I said no. The store was super dirty when I came in to pick up my to-go order and the ladies working didn’t seem to have an qualms about it. There were no other customers, so that should have been a sign as well. But I continued on… I wasn’t feeling well and really wanted phở. I waited for my order, which included rare beef phở, egg rolls and a pork bahn mi. Okay, I was sick and had the munchies. Once I got my order, paid and got home, everything looked and smelled really good, so I was so far pretty happy. As I ate, everything also tasted pretty good… not great, nothing to call home about, but good. Then not even 5 minutes into my meal, I began to feel not so well. So as not to give TMI, we’ll just say my stomach did not agree with whatever any of the items were cooked with and I had a very rough next hour of my life. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place as it will literally cause you sickness.

I’ve been eating at this for about 6 years. The service always suck but food was ok. A few weeks ago my wife ordered over the phone when I picked it up it was the wrong order. I told the lady I was not gonna pay for the wrong order and she got pissed and didnt offer to make it right. I got mad as well and she told me to leave and never come back. Just plain shitty customer service. If you wanna get treated like shit just go to this place.

For not having a Vietnamese Rest. In the are this one is okay. But they are so slow and barely speak english. You can forget bout a refill. Because its not going to happen. As soon as you sit down they want to take your order. But if you order to go you have a better chance of not being dissappointed.

Food wise — this place is pretty damn good. The phở is alright, but the shrimp fried rice is AMAZING! In regards to customer service, I’ve written a haiku: No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. Bad customer service. I want to give this place more stars because it’s absolutely has the best fried rice I’ve ever had, but I can’t because I can’t even get a refill on my water. My advice: Order to-go. Don’t skip this place because of the bad customer service, just order and take it home to enjoy.

Have gone several times hoping it will get better but it hasn’t ! We always wait almost an hour for food. It’s not that great but this type of food is limited on this side of town so I’m guessing that’s why they’re still open.

Bad and slow service. Food is mediocre at best. Went here 3x hoping to find something that I’d like about it, but sadly there isn’t. Should also take down the crawfish sign if you they never have ‘em in stock.

This place is horrible. If there’s a person you really don’t like then you can recommend this place for him or her. The service here is very slow and the food is terrible. I came here for lunch with my dad one day hoping that this could be the one place that actually serves good authentic Vietnamese food in Channelview. Wrong! The service is ran by a kid playing video games behind the counter. I’m not kidding you. I don’t mean to be harsh because he’s just a kid and probably being told to do this by his parents(who I’m assuming run this place), but at least give us menus and water. When we did finally order, the food took forever to arrive. I was getting real impatient and was tempted to walk off. There wasn’t even anybody else in the restaurant! No excuses. I ordered a rice dish and requested a fried egg with it. What I ended up getting was the dish, plus a really fried egg… It’s almost as if an egg was fried five minutes longer than it should have. The edges were burnt and it was tiny because the egg white shribbled together. I was charged an extra $ 1 for that. The rice was a bit stale and meat was a little dry. I was actually pissed when I paid my bill. My experience at Tam’s was about a year ago, but since then I never wanted to step food in there again. Perhaps they improved and I’ll give them another shot(since I want to support the tiny asian community here), but until then«Eek! Methinks not».

Slow and nasty. Do yourself a favor and walk next door to the Chinese or Mexican places. You and your toilet will thank me.

I went in on a sunday to grab some Phở. My friend ordered the shredded chicken sandwich. The waitress told us they ran out of shredded chicken. Then after waiting too long considering we were the only two people there other than a party of 4 which had already eaten) they bring our food. My Phở did not have very much meat in it. I asked for Cilantro and the waitress tells me they RANOUTOFCILANTRO! Then walked away. Meaning the sandwich didn’t have cilantro either. Cilantro is a must have in my Phở so this is VERY upsetting. My suggestion: Restock correctly, Employ a real employee, not a 15 yr old kid, don’t walk away from an upset customer. Will not be going back.
