Okay so I came here for one simple thing. To pick up a phone for my friend. How did they complicate this process? I don’t know. Most of the employees here seem so ignorant and unprofessional and it was a pain to communicate with them. For example, she asked me to take the case off of the phone for her while she watched me. Isn’t that something she could’ve done herself? Second, she was so hesitant to say anything to me or even say«ma’am» to get my attention. I just thought that if you work at a phone company, you should be more assertive. Third, I went up to the counter and gave them the phone I was trying to trade in as well as the ID of my friend. They took me to another counter to process everything, leaving the phone and ID behind. I asked if I should get back the items because we moved to a different counter, and she ignored me. Later, of course she says«can you get the phone and ID?» … Really? You JUST left it behind at the counter even after I asked to get it. Luckily I am an AT&T customer so I don’t have to deal with this bull another time.

I had to double check to make sure I didn’t go to a Boost or Cricket store here since they had the exact same vibe. I walk in and everybody stared at me without saying hi. There were 3 employees behind the big counter with one customer but not a one was offering to help and the girl was arguing with the guy about how she was helping someone which didn’t seem to exist. Finally after a few minutes they call me to the counter. After that, the guy tries to make the hard sale about getting a family plan. I mentioned I was happy with my unlimited plan and he told me I could get an even bigger unlimited plan(with more tethering) but I told him I was happy. The guy would just not let it go! «but you get two lines for just xxx more!» «But I don’t need two lines! I’m one person! if I wanted another number I’d just get google voice!»

Having purchased a new phone I need to set up service for it. I tried the T Mobile webpage but it required an activation code that comes with a SIM card so I needed to either order one online or go to a store. I needed service ASAP so I went to the store. BIGMISTAKE. I walked in on a weeknight and it was packed. At least 7 employees were at workstations assisting customers. The only positive thing I can say is that as soon as you walk in you are greeted and your name taken to be put on a sign in sheet. This way there is no need to form a line. It took about 20 minutes to get to a person. I knew exactly what plan I wanted and what it cost but they had no listing of such plan on their computer. So, I got the one most similar and was told I could go online and change it later. So far so good. They processed a SIM card and took a credit card payment from me after adding on fees and taxes not mentioned on the website. $ 15 was not worth my time so fine. Then their computer locks up and they can not give me any receipt plus the phone is not working because it is not connected to their network. Equipment failure is beyond the control of the store people so I was not bothered by that but what was deplorable was how they kept putting another employee on the same workstation to try and move more customers through without resolving my issue. Then they called their own 1 – 800 line to get tech support which wasted another 20 minutes. This was not getting them anywhere so the manager finally used a gift card for $ 5 over what they charged me to open a new account from the start. This took another 20 minutes. They used the gift card method only after I told them if they could not activate the phone to refund my money and I would go somewhere else. I don’t think they were capable of doing a refund so they went the gift card route. So, all in all it took about 70+ minutes to activate a phone. I have purchased cars in less time than that. On top of that the public at this store is completely ghetto and let’s just say you would not want to be walking outside there after dark. It’s a shame because they whole shopping center used to be AAA rated retail space in the late 1980s and early 90s. It went completely downhill after Walmart came in and attracted every thug for miles like flies to sh*t. The Blockbuster store that closed some years ago still sits abandoned a few doors down. If you read this do yourself a favor and do not go to this store or this shopping center.
