Sunny’s Liquor & Discount Tobacco

Way over priced. What normally costs me around $ 40 in liquor sales was $ 60 today at this place! Avoid at all costs, pun intended.

The guy was nice enough but WOW are the prices high.

This is a rude and overpriced store. Ran after me on the pavement and demanded me to move my car or he would tow it, just because I was making a second errand next door. No wonder there is never anyone there. Stay away!

Overpriced liquor. beer selection is basic. place is good for a quick pack of smokes and a six pack

Eek! Methinks not indeed. They don’t list prices in the fridges, so you naturally just assume that the guy is not living in some bizarre society where a 12-​pack of dos equis costs $ 21. That assumption was very misguided. My final bill was $ 23.80 for a twelve pack of dos. Come on, dude.

Sunny’s is jam-​packed with liquor. probably because it’s a pretty small store. It isn’t going to have everything like the largest chain in Houston, but it does have a decent selection of scotch and a whole aisle full of those «buy some liquor and we will give you some free stuff packages» that you normally see at Christmas time. The store also has a reasonable selection of cigars and cigarillos if you are looking for something like that.
Pricing in terms of whether or not it’s the lowest price around is mixed. I have seen some brands that are cheaper than the largest chain in town and some that were quite a bit higher so you are going to have to know your brand and the competition if you want to know if you are getting a good deal or not.
Service. It’s a one man operation but the owner is friendly and if you spend the right amount, he may throw in a goody, like a free shaker for making martinis and such (I have been given two so far).
