We stayed in town after a high school football game to avoid driving home through the storms. I made the reservation at the beginning of halftime so they would have enough time to make-ready the room, if necessary. When making the reservation, I requested a low floor and foam pillows, as well as a feather-free room. We were on the third floor with feather pillows only. When I asked for foam pillows and an extra blanket at the desk, the clerk said you mean you don’t have plenty in there. So we made do, and I awoke the next morning with a stiff neck and a migraine. As I made my way to the elevator, the power went out due to high winds from a storm. So I went back to my room. The rest of the group was waking now and starting get up to use the restroom. One went and flushed. The next one went, and apparently the first one used the only water left in the tank because we no longer had running water. No water to flush, wash our hands, brush our teeth, etc. we walked down the stairs to breakfast, of which no hot items other than waffles were available due to power in the kitchen being out. Understandable, however no effort was made to have guests wash hands, use hand sanitizer, or even offer bottled water for washing hands. The desk clerks said no one would be there to repair anything until after 1030. I asked if they were sure to tell them the water wasn’t working because of the electrical issue. They said the power company knew that. No sane person would make that correlation as water and electricity do not mix. Anyway, it would have put the hotel on a higher priority because of the health and sanitation concerns. One member of our group who was unable to flush or wash hands had diarrhea, which was then on her hands as she went through the breakfast. There were entire families staying there and no way to flush or wash. You can’t tell a small child, sorry you’ll have to hold it until we can get out of here and down the road. No effort was made to notify guests either so they wouldn’t attempt to use water or the elevator. I was very disappointed.

Everything was fine during our stay. Enjoyed the cold water in the pool. I felt as if I swam in North Pole. Actually, the water will get warm after you did backstroke, frontstroke and butterfly for 5 rounds each. ^_^(Warning: If you have heart disease, do not get in the pool after 9 pm, your heart may stop and freeze.) From the bottom of my heart, I love the complimentary chupa chups(lol) and friendly service. ^_^ But I don’t mind if you take some of my chupa chups budget and upgrade the toilet paper in the bathroom. ^_~ Breakfast was okay. Worth the price? Umm… Yes. Worth $ 110−150/night. ^_^ But not for $ 180.

It’s definitely worth the value. The front desk service is excellent; both the morning & evening staff was friendly and attentive. The room was lacking and felt like that of a motel, not that of a Marriott chain. Breakfast options and staff was the best I’ve had from a SpringHill Suites. Eggs weren’t watery and they offered turkey sausage. Overall, I would stay here again. It’s all I need for a one or two night stay.

This hotel is a great place to relax. For the price, you really can’t beat it. The staff is pleasant to talk with and has a great gym downstairs if you’re into keeping fit while on vacation/business trip. This hotel is located in a business park right off the highway so I recommend you ask for a room that faces away from it. Otherwise, if you’re not used to the sound of cars on the highway, it might keep you up at night. The breakfast they serve in the mornings is decent. I enjoyed biscuits and gravy each morning I was there. They also serve a nice propaganda waffle in the shape of the state of Texas. The sausage is good, eggs are ok, muffins are dry but everything else kept me full till lunch time and some day a bit beyond. Each room has a kitchenette. i.e. sink, microwave and fridge. That takes care of a lot of essentials. If you want to save a little more money, go sneak off to HEB or Kroger and grab some freezer items just in case you get hungry at night. Overall, an excellent experience and I look forward to staying at a Springhill Suites down the road.

SpringHill Suites is one of the better options for those one-night stays at hotels that you sometimes have to take because you’re scared you’ll doze off while driving and end up in the ditch. However, this SpringHill was better than others I’ve been to. First off, the location of this SpringHill isn’t half bad. You’re in-between two office towers in a business park so it’s not necessarily all too busy, at least when I was there. Maybe you’re thinking, «That will be nice, less noise at night.» Well, stop thinking that. I don’t want you to be disappointed. The Interstate is literally right in front of this hotel. Like no lie, when I looked out my window all I could see was the Interstate and then some other form of civilization in small parts. And this isn’t any Interstate, this is a Houston Interstate. Meaning, hell on earth. Meaning, there’s construction all over the place. Meaning, traffic is frightening. Meaning, you go insane. Nice chain reaction, right? To blame all of that hellishness on the hotel would be cruel though, but I just wanted to warn you. There are a several restaurants around these parts and it’s quite close to the Houston Galleria, so you have very many dining establishments in what may seem like short reach.(Remember, the Interstate looks like a tornado came through it, so you might want to find a detour. We literally couldn’t get onto the Interstate because every single entrance was seemingly closed. Coolio!) What gave me a chuckle is that when we mentioned this to the receptionist she was extremely casual about it and said that it’s pretty much always like that — she was defo. a veteran Houstonian. Anyhow, looking at that paragraph now while writing this I notice that it’s extremely long and I still hadn’t written any detail about the hotel… welp, here goes; The hotel was nice! It was clean, it smelled good, and the décor was fresh and modern. The hardcore Houstonian receptionist was really pleasant and helped us with local restaurants. She was also quite funny, which is something you don’t normally find in receptionists at these kinds of hotels. Our room was just as clean and pristine as the lobby was and it was nicely furnished. Marriott’s new fetish for SpringHills seems to be this blue/green color combo, which looks good, so I don’t mind. The highway noise was slightly noticeable at night, but it wasn’t insanely loud and I could easily get to sleep. I’d consider that a feat considering how close this hotel is to the Interstate. Breakfast was slightly better than other SpringHills and Residence Inns I have encountered as this one had more options. There was fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, bacon, scrambled eggs, patty sausages, oatmeal… I think you get this gist. The bread options were muffins, english muffins, bagels, and plain-olé toast. Needless to say I went all Julia Child on my breakfast and made my own sausage, egg, and cheese bagel with dijon. There’s also cranberry, apple, and orange juices. A pleasant stay and great rates is what wraps this SpringHill into a nice little package. Once you get past Hell’s Highway, all is grand!

Great hotel… looks new, stylish pops of blue and green in the lobby and in the rooms, spacious and well designed rooms. Felt totally at home with wife and baby. Loved having a fridge, microwave, and kitchen sink. Staff was friendly too. Location very convenient from highway and not too far from Houston Galleria — although I would check if there is highway/road construction still going on. We were totally fine with it but it did take some learning for figure out our way to and from the hotel.
