Had a bagel sandwich this morning with ham, Gouda, and tomatoes on an everything bagel and it was delicious! The service was friendly and the quality of the product was great, I will be recommending this place

A real taste of New York City! Fresh and classic bagels; get them with sliced lox, it’s well worth it. In addition to great deli sandwiches and classic egg sandwiches they also make boars head hot dogs with sauerkraut or red onions. Close your eyes while you chew and you will taste New York. It’s a little challenging to find(set back from Memorial and next to Tully) but it is well worth it and definitely a repeat

The first time we came here, we loved the bagels and figured the slow service waa just the place working out the kinks. The service problem continues today. It shouldn’t take 20 minutes for a cold salami on sesame seed bagel and a cheesesteak. When we finally got our order, my bagel was thin and hard and hubby’s cheesesteak is «really just some roast beef heated up with some cheese — there’s no real flavor to it»(direct quote from hubby.) You come here at the right time and order the right thing, it is GLORIOUS. The problem is consistency. It just isn’t there yet.

Yes, the bagels are tasty. However, the restaurant is FILTHY. I’ve been to my share of dives and I don’t care if ambiance is lacking, but there was hair, dirt and food crumbs on the floors, in the bathroom, and pretty much wherever I looked. It made it hard to eat my sandwich when it(finally) came. I may consider picking up just bagels from here, but if they keep the restaurant so dirty, what does the kitchen look like? I’m so disappointed– I had heard rave reviews of this place.

I really want this place to make it but my love is waning as a result of the poor service. The bagels are the best thing outside of the loop but the service… man, it is bad. I have also stopped by just after the opening hour and it was dark. Not a soul in sight. My recommendation: hire some more competent people and keep the front more tidy and organized.

I love it. It’s super New York style and the bagels are the best. Me gusta todo lo que hay y el dueño es muy amable.

There are few things that bring back memories of visiting my family back in New York more than eating a bagel done right, and this place has definitely got that covered. Their everything bagel is hands down the best bagel I have had outside of NYC and will probably give a couple of bagels that I have had in NYC a run for their money. Their cream cheese spreads are solid, they are not hawking Philadelphia brand, they are providing the good stuff. If you like bagels I cannot recommend this place enough, they know what they are doing and they really care about providing a stellar product.

Walked in at 7:30AM to get breakfast both employees were in the back. I waited to be acknowledged. The younger employee peered through the door looked straight at me and went into the back room. I left immediately! How rude and uninviting. I will never return. Plus they’re cooler that displays the meats was leaking all over the floor. Gross!

My husband says these are the best bagels he’s ever eaten. This place is small. The owner is there each time I come by. Friendly staff. Each sandwich is made to order. Opens early so get there early or they run out of bagels. Very casual. If you want a good sandwich try this place. It’s only been open a couple months and they are still learning. People are seeking them out. It’s nice to have a small deli in memorial area.

Went for lunch today, it was the first and last time. I wouldn’t even dare to guess when the restrooms were cleaned last. My wife’s egg salad sandwich was extra chunky with little flavor… could have used more mustard and some paprika. My chicken salad sandwich… which I ordered with lettuce and pickles… came with lettuce and tomatoes. Not just any tomatoes though. One butt-end slice on each half of my sandwich. The chicken salad itself was extremely bland. It would have been nice to know that we had to order condiments for our sandwiches as they were both bone dry. The place is in dire need of cleaning and remodeling. We also witnessed some customers being ignored and mostly empty cases as mentioned by another reviewer.

Line was long and they were out most of their bagels and all other pastries except blueberry muffins. The only ones they had left were onion, everything, and they said they had plain in the back. We stood in line for 15 mins and instead of taking orders or apologizing for the wait they ignored us. When they finally took our order we were told it would take at least another 10 mins to get our food out. We left. Bagels should be quick. Sorry.

Wanted to try something new, so went for lunch with my wife. She had a bagel with lox and cream cheese and said it was fine. I ordered eggs and sausage. My plate was a decomposed McDonalds breakfast sandwich and very blah but I think I missed the mark with my order. I’d like to try again and order something different, maybe the cheesesteak. We ordered a small scoop of egg salad which was flavorful. The layout of the restaurant is a bit strange with a huge upstairs seating area that badly needs some redesign. There’s a small outdoor seating area and some tables near the ordering counter as well.

Another stunning sandwich. I couldn’t even take a pic cause I was so hungry it was demolished. BTW for the reviewer MD go back to your«bagel shop» & shuv it where the sun doesn’t shine. This Unilocal page my friend is for real reviews & positive ones at that. I am going to try the burger next. I am stuck on sandwiches but the burger looks delish.

Fantastic. As always. Today we went with chocolate chip muffins for the kids(big hit), strawberry cream cheese croissant pastry(yum), bacon egg & cheese croissant for the hurzband(they slice the cheese to order! Score) a plain egg & cheese croissant for me(eggs cooked to order too) and a plain bagel with cream cheese for us to all share because you simu can’t go there and not have the best bagels in the city of Houston.(Sorry New York bagels in meyerland… You used to hold the title for me but you have been one upped) SOGLAD this place is open! #BagelStalker

I’m from the NYC area and grew up on these bagels. I honestly don’t see what everyone is raving about. I got a plain bagel(not toasted) with cream cheese. The bagel itself was missing something-not quite what I’m used to. Maybe the texture was slightly off? There was also a light spread of cream cheese which I’m not used to either. I was disappointed! The owner was friendly but not what everyone said. I will not return. FYI-The«closest» bagel I’ve found here so far is The Hot Bagel Shop!

If the reviews below me do not encourage you enough to try the shop out — hopefully mine is the last«hoorah!!!» you need. I’m from Long Island, which means I have crazy high standards of bagels. I have to get bagels shipped here or brought to me when family comes to visit(true NY’ers will understand this and not think I’m crazy…). When I tell you this bagel was AMAZING — completely worth my 15 minute drive. I ordered an everything bagel with BEC on it. Not only was the bagel perfectly made, so was the sandwich! And for $ 4?! It’s a steal. They’ve made a customer for life. On a side note: don’t get lost if you’re looking for it! I’m horrible with directions so I thought it was just me, but supposedly the address links you to the HEB plaza next door. The café is at the cross roads of memorial and Tully behind Burger King! There’s no store sign and it’s not on the main plaza sign(just yet).

Price: VERY reasonable. Under $ 6/lunch…YES!!! Location: Off Memorial Drive and Tully in the Energy Corridor(set back in shopping center) – I see corporate catering in Bob’s future Selection: Decent deli selection for breakfast/lunch/snacks/dinner Freshly made bagels, desserts(including rice pudding!), will do custom orders Ambiance: Very casual counter side dining and larger, set back dining room. You choose your style for the day. Owner: Queens transplant. Very friendly, ALWAYS at the restaurant, kind to his staff. Welcoming to families, large and small.

Goodness… These are some good eats!!! I will warn you that I am part of the most recent generation that avoids carbs 90% of my life. Thus, I am not a bagel expert. However, these were beautiful! Perfectly rounded and glistening. Toothy chew but not dry and leaden. I could not stop! I ordered the everything bagel with lox spread and a plain with apple wood bacon, egg, and cheese for my son. Both were delicious! The owner was great! Best wishes to this place!

I lived in New York for 26 years and recently moved to Houston in 2011. This deli is by far the best place I’ve had a bagel at here in Houston. Best bagel outside of NYC. The owner is so nice and welcoming. I love supporting a local New Yorker! This was a little slice of home. Will be back for sure.

The bagels live up to their reputation. Crispy on the outside, «chewy» on the inside. Lots of whole grain options. They aren’t skimpy on the sandwiches and the omelet was impressive — good coffee, too. The staff(and owner Bob) couldn’t be friendlier. Reasonably priced. A great alternative to all the fast food in the area. Add aside pickle to the sandwich and they’ll be a 5 star! Spring Water Café is behind the Burger King on Memorial and Tully. It’s set in the back, so you may not see it from the street. Well worth a visit.

YOUNEEDTOSTOPWHATYOUAREDOINGANDCOMEHERENOW!!! When I say this is truly authentic New York style deli food, ITIS! This place is going to be huge once people find out about it. They’ve been here for less than 3 weeks and I’ve been almost every single day. IMNOTEXAGGERATING. None of the meats are dry, the bread is made in house and it’s the most welcoming environment possible. Bob(the owner) welcomes you with open arms and treats you like family. I’ve literally had days where I had breakfast lunch and dinner here. This is and will forever be my spot. I was the 1st customer to go eat there and unfortunately I was beat to review these guys but best believe I will be a regular. I’ll have some pictures to post soon. Theres a little too much glare from the sun. With all that said, come to these guys if you truly want the best of the best when it comes to TRUE New York Style deli food. ENJOY!
