Kolaches are amazing. Bavarian crème-filled donuts are on point. Staff is reasonably courteous(for a donut shop). Among the top donut shops I’ve been, most assuredly. Price is also modest. Go check ‘em out!

Shipley’s has the best plain glazed donuts. This location is no exception. We stop once every few weeks for donuts before I take the kids to school. The sausage and cheese Kolaches are great too!

This is seriously the best Shipley’s around! The kolaches, the donuts, the donut holes, are all awesome! What are you reading this for?! Go to Shipley’s!

Just the typical Shipleys. Lines are never too long and donuts are great. However, if you come past 9 the donuts are not near as good as early in the morning(common sense).

Everyone is always nice no matter the time of day. One of the ladys always know what I going to order. Donuts always fresh. My Granddaughters love the chocolate cover donuts.

According to Wikipedia, an apple fritter is an apple ring or apple chunks breaded in batter and fried. According to Shipley’s, it’s a ginormous, thick, and glazed donut the size of my hand with a sweet concoction of deliciousness! This apple fritter may the most attractive of the lot(it’s tan and has abs! See the picture if you think I’m crazy, haha: P), and encased in the dough is an apple filling. Think of it like lava cake– ooey, gooey, flowing. And I was slurping it all up at a corner table like a weirdo. These donuts are big and messy, people! Grab some napkins at the counter before you sit down or leave. You’ll cry if you bite into a Shipley’s donut and realize that nothing will help you when all the glaze and icing gets stuck to your chin and cheeks ;) As for the service, the workers were nice and patient with people like me who take forever to choose and sort of just stare at the display and drool. They don’t throw everything into the same bag either(they improved since the previous review!); my heavenly apple fritter was safely separated into a different bag than my other iced donut. Speaking of that iced donut, I left it in the car while running some errands. After having it sit in a hot car for an hour or so, it tasted freshly made, haha! If you lack my coveted car-cooking skills or the time, then Shipley’s also has a microwave for people to use, in case you like your snack piping hot. This location has tables for people to enjoy the donuts and kolaches, definitely a positive! Customers come in waves, but the line goes fast. They sell kolaches that aren’t in the display area, bottled drinks from a fridge, and sodas from a fountain. You need to buy at least $ 4 worth of nomnoms to use a credit card. I posted a picture of the store hours too ^^ Check Shipley’s out– I will definitely be going back to try one of their tasty-looking cinnamon rolls: D

I love these donuts so much. They are so light, I can eat half a dozen, which is expensive. But they are so puffy and have that nice octagon shape, beyond the regular boring round ones, and they are almost like two halves put together. My absolute favorite is the cherry icing, followed by strawberry, maple, and white. Also chocolate. And a few jalapeño kolaches to go with it, because they are small and manageable. I love how perfect these donuts are. I always get a dozen for the trip back to Lubbock.

Ive always loved Shipley Do-nuts and I have been out of state for about 2 years so it was great to come back to the same delicious glazed donuts. I do have to agree with others though, the staff was very bland and didnt seem like they wanted to be there. Keep makin great donuts!

The jalapeño cheese kolache was good, but it lacked density. I was also a little surprised to find that they didn’t have any decaf coffee. I thought a pastry shop would have decaf.

I have never been to a Shipley’s donuts before, and I was not impressed. The employee working the counter seemed less than thrilled to be working at a donut shop, and the shop definitely lacked the charm of a bakery or even a Krispy Kreme. It just seemed like a sad place for donuts. I felt bad for bothering the employee to take our donut order. I bought half a dozen, and she put the chocolate glazed and glazed ones all together in one bag, so they were pretty messed up when I took one out to eat. They were not bad tasting, but not awesome either. My daughter did enjoy her smaller donut that had pink icing and sprinkles. The location is good but I probably wouldn’t go back unless I was desperate for a donut.
