The food is amazing! Best sweet and sour chicken I’ve ever had! The prices are very fair, 8 $ a meal, which comes with soup entrée and free fried wonton as an appetizer.

This is my Go-To Chinese place. A great mom N’ pop Americanised Chinese eatery. Great food, reasonable prices and smiling faces. I’m here all the time and they ARE understaffed but I believe the wait is worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family. Orange flavored beef 4 life!

I had really low expectations for Shanghai. I’ve driven by their sign a million times, never having seen the restaurant. It’s in a terrible location, tucked away toward the back of a very modest strip mall. We are looking for some food to pickup and I said«why not let’s try this place.» I pulled up the menu on Unilocal, called my order in, and 20 minutes later pulled up to a really decent looking restaurant. I was expecting a complete hole in the wall place. There was no one in the restaurant. But it made sense — the location is that bad. The food however was pretty cheap and very actually pretty good. The sweet and sour pork was so-so but everything else was good. A bit heavy on the sauce but without weighing the dishes down. I don’t know how long they can stay open but for the time being we know we have a decent Chinese place close by. Its not Chinatown and it’s not as good as North China on Hwy 6 but is much cheaper, and more authentic than Panda Express. They deliver as well. If you live in area and are craving Chinese food it’s a good option.

Very disappointed and not recommended for everyone. Lots of MSG, tons of sodium, over cooked beef, tiny bit meat inside the wonton(less than 1⁄10 of the normal amount). We complained to the manager, she said it wasn’t her fault, it is the owner’s fault. We spoke to the owner, she said the Americans love lots of sodium and they also love to have wonton with tiny little meat in it. I see, they wanted to fool the Americans and rip them off by calling this Chinese food. It is not Chinese food!

Not a friendly place. Seriously shorthanded. Very long wait. I would also give a One Star to the so called Chinese food.

A Long time customer. This is one of the last remaining true mom and pop stores which is hard to find anywhere. That being said, it offers many things unique to its brand. Quality of food and service compensate for the lack of corporate ties and the lack of grandiose. These qualities seem to get better the more you frequent the restaurant. Food-wise, I never expect a stunning experience, but they greet you well and cook you a homely meal with good ingredients, all of which are never a bad thing. Never a bad thing. This is a good restaurant — as simple as that. It’s a shame that I can not say the same thing about many of the big restaurants that boast fancy menus with big price tags.

These people are great! Always so pleasant and smiling. Food is made fresh, so nothing preheated sitting around. If you’re in a hurry this is not fast food. It’s made when you order. NOMSG!!! The portions are super generous. No MSG. I can never eat it all. I usually buy the lunch special and it’s my lunch/dinner so two meals for the price of one. The Spicy Won Ton’s are an addiction for me. No MSG. The ambiance is wonderfully relaxing, and always clean! Did I mention it doesn’t have MSG? This is a great place. Great atmosphere, great good, good value, good ambiance. No MSG. :)

This place is a nice mom and pop shop. They have a wide variety of typical Americanized Chinese food. The price per dish is about $ 10-$ 13 and you get a pretty decently sized portion to eat. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. The chef even came out to refill our water and check on us. The building is a little hidden and your gps might take you on a weird route to here since it’s new. Just make a u turn at dairy Ashdod and it’ll be on your right.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I wish I could give a better rating because I really wanted to like this place. Pros: White meat chicken Option of brown rice Kids meal options Clean, newer restaurant Cons: I have never been fully satisfied with the food –Flavorless, thick hot n sour soup –Only 4 pieces of shrimp in garlic shrimp lunch I was given fried rice when I asked for steamed Summary: you can give it a shot, but don’t expect greatness. I’ve encountered great customer service but sub-par food here.

I’ve been there a few times now and have been satisfied every time. Good dumplings, great lo mein, great mongolian beef. It is a decent stop for chinese.

the short story: meh. it’s there. not awful. not great the long story: i was really hoping this place would be awesome. because they’ll have a serious up-hill battle in that location. it’s in a small strip center perpendicular to the freeway that you’d probably never even notice if it weren’t for the guy in the sasquatch suit waving a sign for a neighboring business. even a murphy’s deli on the much more visible end of the center couldn’t make a go of it there. so… finding myself with a mild hangover this morning, i thought some sweet and sour pork was in order and this would be a good opportunity to try the place the good: really strong iced tea and their sweet and sour sauce actually had a noticeable sour element. most places its mostly just sweet the not so good: everything else was pretty bland. from the soup to the rice to the complete lack of any décor other than a tv at one end of the room. i’ll give them another visit or two to try some of the more complex offerings(maybe a kung pow or curry something) before i pass a final judgement. as my selection was admittedly pretty pedestrian.

I ordered delivery from Shanghai and ended up throwing it all away. The fried pork dumplings were greasy and chewy, and soggy on the bottom. So we went on to try the shrimp fried rice, how do you mess up fried rice… no flavor and the shrimp were tiny cocktail shrimp. The Kung Pao chicken was not edible, and the Hot & Sour soup lacked that zingy flavor. The only half way edible item we ordered was the Vegetable Lo Mein, and even that did not make it into a leftover container. So no next day chinese food leftovers for this household.

Great lunch specials– had the Chicken Vegetable plate and it was delicious. They only use chicken breast(white meat) and the vegetables were really fresh. They just opened 3 weeks ago and seem like they know exactly what they are doing. Definitely my new go to for chinese lunch and you can’t beat the value! $ 6 for soup, eggroll & entrée.
