Stopped in to see what this place had to offer. The outside isn’t as welcoming as most grocery stores look. The neon sign is missing letter covers and most of windows are covered by cardboard or postings. There was no one in the parking lot or inside the store. Just the owners & a mystery person in the back. When my sister and I walked in there was no one in sight. We walked towards the corner back of the store and there was a man sitting in a chair by a computer watching us. He didn’t say anything he just still in his chair near the aisles. As we got by the coolers and back entrance towards that room. We heard a person in the back. The woman owner appeared from the other end. She walked towards our direction, didn’t say excuse me or nothing. She barged her way through us and kept walking. She was talking loud on the phone to the end of the aisle where that man was sitting. She was so rude and seemed as if she didn’t want to be bothered. On the right side of the store is air-conditioned and on the left side was no air, just heat. Most of products in the store being sold was expired, dusty, caked, expensive, and didn’t look fresh. On the left side is where a baby crib was placed in the middle of the walkway and a box fan is posted up. None of this grocery store made me want to purchase anything from it. Customer service. what’s that? Quality. heck naw. This is a ran down grocery store shop here at your own risk.

Remember that horror film, «The Hills have Eyes», or any horror movie where the people go into an abandoned store looking for an owner?! Yeah, well that is what I experienced today. Pretty strange if you ask me. A complete run-down store with every expired foods dating back to 2000. Yogurt in the fridge looked lumpy and watery. I’m thinking these people either believe in eating past dated foods will boost your immune system or just didn’t get the memo to trash foods from Hurricane Ike. As you walk towards the back, there is a pretend blind guy looking straight forward. he is the same as his wife non-speakers. I didn’t see any rat nor roach droppings, though there were narrow aisles, a baby bed, and ignoring owners. For a second, I thought the lady owner was calling the cops on my sister and I, though instead she was speaking very loudly in her native tongue and started to walk directly into us while we were looking around. Strike two! Super awkward!!! This store has been on this strip section for years; as the florist and barber shop next door has decorated some. they can use some pointers. I just hope Darbar Indian restaurant don’t get their ingredients from here. That would be a no-no, on so many levels of life.

Pros: The gentleman and lady who own the store are kind and eager to please. They are very welcoming and have great customer service. In the past, I used to call them and make an order of chicken and meat and go to there store and pick it up when they told me it would be ready. It breaks my heart that I have to write this review because I know they’re working hard to make ends meet. Cons: It looks really run down. A lot of the goods they carry are expired. Worst of all, when I went home after picking up half a pound of ground beef I saw the meat was gray and it smelled bad :(It’s unfortunate.

Yuk! It’s dirty n rude. Mom n pop shop have no business service. It’s a place where you sell food. And it’s soo dirty! Go to bissmillah or apnabbazzar. Avoid at all cost because many things are overpriced. Take my advise if you care for your family.

I was able to find all the stuff I was looking for. The shopping complex was average looking but had all the ethnic stuff I needed. Pita breads, humus, halal freshly cut chicken, beef and goat. And the phone cards were cheaper too!!! Perfect for my needs. They also had Indian, Middle-eastern, and Pakistani sweets, snacks, naans basically everything one could need. I am very happy I found this place. Will go every week from now on.

What a dilapidated little grocery. Hey, I don’t expect small ethnic groceries to look like Better Homes and Gardens. But this place… The outside wasn’t promising. Looking through the windows, all one sees is the backs of shelving units, with odd trash and twisted vinyl blinds smashed between. The sign is faded and is missing letters. Still, I thought, I’ll go in and buy a mango; that seems pretty safe. They had no mangoes. They had no fruit. All their vegetable produce was sitting in cardboard boxes, unpriced and unlabeled on the floor. Announcements stuck on the inside of door, many faded away, with scraps of tape from previous signs. The ceiling tiles were coming apart. Fixtures missing fluorescent bulbs. I was one of only 2 customers. The woman behind the register just stared past me; never meeting my gaze nor greeting me or offering to help. I left without buying anything.
