Rices is basically the Timmy Chans for Hispanics … Plain and simple. Lots of food for a cheap price, may not be the best quality but for the price and quantity you’ll be one happy customer.

DEFINITELY don’t expect great service here, but it’s been the same since I was in high school so that doesn’t even affect my rating. I grew accustomed to it. Short and simple, it’s INCREDIBLY cheap and the food is pretty good. It’s not the best food ever and you have to eat it every day but it is satisfying to say the least. You get a pretty huge amount of food for very little money. If you order just rice, they literally open the container, fill both sides, then close it so you get the most rice you can. I usually get the sweet and sour chicken, and always order extra egg rolls because they are amazing from here. You can shrimp to the fried rice for like a couple cents more but I won’t/will recommend it. It’s doesn’t make too much of a difference for me, but that’s presence. If you don’t want rice, you can switch for fries with are good/decent, again, not the best fries but satisfying. Portion sizes are def shareable. Stop by and try it!

The staff were moody not professional at all. It’s sad that to have people run your restaurant with no customer service. Please look at your staff you hire and train ! The food was ok

Ick! It is not for me. I was physically ill when I left this place and I didn’t even finish my plate. The fried fish was mush with grease. Not flaky fish. Not tasty going in or coming up. The shrimp was overlooked and dry. The rice is fried too. I won’t be back.

Love the seafood soup! The prices are great, not fancy yet family owned. The special fried is GOOD! Inexpensive :)

Today Sunday 09/21/2014. I came to eat here after a long time since! I used to come here all the time back in 2009. My last time was Oct. 2011 Since then i heard things had changed but today that i came not much is different! Maybe the staff. Some mexican girls who acted a lil rude! I guess they thought they were better(btw im mexican, so no pun intended) the food tasted the same. I got the 12 pc buffalo wings. Except the fries. They used to be fat and yummy now theyre skinny and super crunchy. Eh! But glad the food and raNch is the same. still good:)

$ 5 bucks for deep fried chicken and a drink? Can’t beat that. Skin is crispy. Ask for the chili pepper with seeds.

I have to agree with Jay M. the food there is really good I can honestly say that the fried fish is some of the best. I too live no where close to the area but I make the drive just for the fish and fried rice.

The below person has got it totally wrong. Rice’s has been a neighborhood staple for over 20 years. From their small beginnings where you’d come in and purchase a fresh fish laid in ice to have them prepare it how you’d like to some of the best fried rice in town. Right across from Milby High School were everyone would go after school. Even now, not living ANYWHERE close to the place I bring friends of all walks of life to enjoy the food. They all agree that the taste of the fish is very good and fresh and some of the best rice. People who know love the place.

we ordered take out at work — so i’ve never seen the interior. big meals(even the medium) & cheap food(about $ 5 per plate) but not very tasty. i had the chicken and broccoli over fried rice(when i asked for steamed). the fried rice was dry and plain. both the chicken and broccoli sauce lacked flavor. i actually added the packaged soy sauce to it(and usually i eat things pretty bland — so to be adding stuff… enough said). the egg rolls were decent. i wouldn’t order from here again.
