I doubt if the owners of Brady’s care what we think or say about this place. I have been trying for 2 months to get a refund for an over payment my organization made to them. We meet there at least 3 – 4 times a year and have been for many years. We spend in excess of $ 500 on each occasion. You would think our business would be important to them. I have made numerous calls requesting the refund and so far have been lied to and put off. The food is not that good to continue to keep our function there if this is the kind of treatment we are going to get. I am happy to report on 2⁄3 we were refunded the money. I wonder if my post had anything to do with it???

The food was just OKAY… I paid for my food with my debit card and didn’t leave a tip because I was with a party of 6 and the other party left a big enough tip for the entire table. I went home and the next morning I saw that they charged me an additional $ 15.

20 years ago it had the best brunch buffet ever. The quality of food, options and innovation of dishes have declined. My family and I visited every few years and watched it get worse, while the prices kept going up. Back in the day, it use to be so busy that you still had to wait even if you had reservations. My family and I came for my mother’s birthday. The worst part is that when we made reservations, the senior price told to us was $ 27 dollars. We got the bill with $ 31 for each senior. We asked about this discrepancy and the waitress said that they changed it within the last 10 days. After hearing that, I chuckled and looked away. Pretty ridiculous. Im sure the waitress made up something on the spot to just get us to sign our bill. I didn’t want to make a scene on my mother’s birthday so I reluctantly signed without questioning the waitress’s ridiculous claim. The brunch itself was disappointing. Omelet, grits, bacon sausage, French fries, fried shrimp, baked salmon… There were crab legs, muscles and the cocktail shrimp which i actually liked. But u can find that at any buffet these days. That is pretty much it The facility itself has seen better days. The wear and tear on the stairs and carpet are visible. Walking on the carpeted areas, you can feel the stickiness with every step. Brady’s Landing truly deserves one star. But I think back to the days when I was 10 years old and enjoying its grand brunch buffet with my family. Now 32, I feel that my mom deserves a better meal than dealing with a below average, poor quality and common food(for $ 35 dollars an adult might I add) Brady’s Landing serves. Truly a shade of what it use to be. PS. I told my mother we will find a better place to eat for her birthday in the future and not to come back again.

Mixed reviews here. The food was a 4 out of 5. Most of the food was a 5. some of it was a 0. If you are on a diet, this place would be great. They don’t refill the food when they run out. There was only fried shrimp, fish and hush puppies for my first trip. I was there for 30 minutes and they never brought out fresh food. If you arrived during that time, You would assume there was no fried seafood. There was only 1 option for fish fillets, but it was good. The side dishes were pretty good. Flavorful and tasty cheesy pasta. They called it mac n cheese, but it is much better than mac n cheese. 2 soups to choose from, bisk and gumbo. 2 out of 5 stars. A smaller but manageable salad bar and a wide variety of desserts. A bit costly for not having food readily brought out when emptied. I likely will never come back. If I came back due to a wedding or something, I wouldn’t be against it. That’s all I can say.

Hm… I didn’t even know this place existed, and would not miss it if I never came back again. I came here for a company banquet and I must say it was chaos. First off, the name of the banquet hall was misspelled on their board, and then their food service was just off. I was a bit late so expected to wait a bit for food, but after 20 minutes of the line not moving, I went to investigate and learned the food was missing! Well, green beans, mashed potatoes, and pork were available which I ended up eating for round one along with cake, but what I really wanted was the fried chicken and fish. Sadly, everyone else was also just as hungry as I, and I missed the first two rounds(my table was far from the chafing dishes =() Finally, after 30 – 40 minutes of waiting, I finally got some, but it was such a disappointment. The fish was mushy and cold and pretty much inedible. The fried chicken looked so good, but ranked or rancid oil mixed with fried fish, it was just unpleasant as the combination almost smelled like gasoline. However, the mashed potatoes were quite tasty and the pork was actually edible, but I will probably never return for food. The one thing I did enjoy was that it was by the water, and we were able to watch the tug boats travel, I felt like a kid again! 1 star for the yummy mashed potatoes and because I got to see a tug boat!

I’ve been to Brady’s Landing the past several years for my company’s Holiday Luncheon. This restaurant and event space housed in an old building was probably an upscale destination spot, but the years have left it outdated. The drive out to the ship channel location is not a pretty one. The sophisticated persona the restaurant desires would be helped if sailboats and yachts were cruising across the waterfront view, not rusty barges. Brady’s Landing probably wishes it could escape the surrounding rundown neighborhood of scrap yards and weathered industrial buildings. Event food was served buffet style with plentiful and crowd pleasing options like salad, cheese plate, beef stew, stuffed chicken breast, fish fillet, and batter fried shrimp. The food was simply tasty, nothing too interesting as not to offend, but the white cream sauce on the chicken was weak and flavorless. I know catering to a large group is it’s own challenge entirely so do not extrapolate this as a critique of the regular restaurant offerings. The dessert cakes were a real highlight as they have been the previous years. The pastry chef knows how to make some dynamite desserts; spongy red velvet, chocolate, and carrot cakes with buttery cream frosting that end the meal with a slice of decadence. Decorations for this year’s Christmas party were festive and colorful. The usual formal pressed, white napkins and tablecloths of years past were replaced by green and red linens, with the chairs wrapped and tied with gold bows. As an event space, Brady’s Landing is satisfactory. However the location and dated design features(like the water feature at the entrance — neon blue and straight out of a miniature golf course) detract from the upscale experience this establishment wants to create.

Don’t even bother with this joint. Buffet is terrible. Everything tastes like it was made from a frozen food truck. The fried shrimp was exactly like what you get from a Chinese Buffet. The fried fish was soggy. The gumbo was disgusting. The shrimp in the gumbo was those small baby grub size shrimp. And the roux was disgusting. The only thing edible here was the salad. It was cold, crisp and fresh. The deserts were terrible. This place is on its last leg. Trying to savor the past but it needs to go ahead and lick its wounds and crawl under a rock and moved come out again.

This place is really out of the way, so you’ll have to commit some time to getting here. I was paying on this go round, and never saw a bill so I can’t appropriately gauge the value here, but for lunch had I paid more than about 15 bucks, I wouldn’t be happy. Walking in you can see the place needs some serious updating. It could be gorgeous as there are beautiful waterside views, but the décor and building are old and in need of a complete overhaul. We were seated at a table by the window with water views, so that was nice. It was mentioned that if you bring a date here, she’ll believe you’re going to kill her and dump her somewhere so keep that in mind . The food was quite the mix… there was pork roast(which I didn’t eat because of pork allergy), sweet chili fish(which was tasty, and spicy as claimed), rosemary chicken, most likely freezer frozen shrimp, a glorious mac and cheese, and some other items that were meh. The salad bar was extensive and plates are kept cold in a freezer along side the bar. The dessert table also had many options, both warm and cold, from bread pudding, peach cobbler, and various cheesecake creations. All that I tried were delish. With an inside revamp, and some additional items on the menu(I never saw these crab legs, which were supposedly offered), and removal of frozen seafood items(you’re ONTHEWATER, C’mon son!) for fresh items, this place could be worth the drive and money. Not all bad, but definitely some work to be done here.

I visited Brady’s Landing for the first time last night for a company event. The venue was beautiful and decorated very nice for the holidays. The food was hot and delicious and our servers were very friendly and attentive. I have heard great things about the Sunday brunch here but haven’t even been because it is quite a drive but after last night’s experience, I can’t wait to go back to try the brunch soon!

Went here as part of a group trip to the Houston Port Authority. You would think when a group of 100 people is going to show up, they would prepare ahead of time. They didn’t. There was only a buffet which was almost empty by the time we got up to it. People were waiting around for addition food to be brought out. Not sure if that ever happened as I took what little was available and returned to my table. The food was poor even for buffet standards. Will not be returning here ever again.

Eeeek. I came here for a charity event and stepped outside the banquet hall to order a drink at the bar. Apparently, I didn’t look thirsty enough because the bar tender was ignoring my attempts to order a drink. I eventually gave up and had someone else order my drink for me. I had an Amaretto Sour in a plastic airline cup, weak and mostly ice. Oh but don’t worry it only cost me $ 12!!! The food was, let’s just say, lacking and the décor/interior was Cracker Barrel meets Texas Roadhouse with a few chandeliers to give it that event space feel. I could go on, but places like this make me think«What’s the point». I just don’t have anything positive to say and sometimes it’s best to leave it at that.

This place is a hidden gem in Houston it’s hidden so U have to find it. But you are rewarded with great views of the waters the ships the animals the waiters the staff the cleanliness. The history of this place, I’ve been coming here since I was a small kid. This is dining.

Sunday brunch is unbelievable. 200+ items on the buffet. Everything was fresh and delicious. We had a party of 7 and the wait staff was extemely accomidating. We enjoyed a lot of items from the buffet as well as the made to order omelets, crepes and Belgium waffles(choice of chocolate chip or red velvet!). At $ 31.95 it’s a little on the pricey side, but with all of the buffet options I understand why it is priced this high. Plenty of seafood items on the buffet(snow crabs, shrimp, ect.). We stuffed ourselves silly and had quite a few mimosas. I had to give this 4 stars because the carpet looked a little dingy and the parking lot could use a few repairs.

Me and my wife had our wedding at Brady landing and they screwed over us real bad… they make a lot of promises when your making payment but when it’s all said and done they will go back on there word … First we paid for a buffet for our wedding… food was great but they don’t tell the buffet is only for an hour… also they give my wife wedding dress room away and our rehearsal room away… and the only thing to make up for there mistake is they offer you free food and which was suppose to be for 2 visit and t hey lied about that and give us 1 … Please if your planning a event stay away from this place… But if your hungry I recommend

Terrible!!! I went tonight for a birthday dinner. This was absolutely the worst food I’ve had in my life. All of the food from the buffet was not warm and very random items. The décor is very dated. The only positive is that it’s on water. The wait staff is terrible. Thomas seemed highly annoyed that my table was sending back our alcoholic beverages. They were terrible! Please, please, don’t go to this place. The drive is ridiculous for the nasty food you are going to get.

We went for Father’s Day Brunch. $ 39 a person. We have been before and enjoyed it. Keep in mind it is a brunch– mass quantities of food out out with the masses serving themselves. It is loud and can be crowded and messy. Waiters really try to keep up with it, but at times it is an uphill battle for them. Food itself is ok. We had a group of 9 and thoughts on food were varied. Some liked/some didn’t. We all seemed to agree that desserts were not good– except the red velvet cake. Overall impression was that the desserts were frozen commercial bought and not made on site. Restaurant itself needs updating. Carpeting is loose and could be gripping hazard(piles of carpeting are behind the restaurant maybe in process of repair or could have been damage from recent flood/rain). Walls show signs of damage and poor repair. Mirrored walls need replaced or better– removed. We would go again for special brunch event, but there are many options that may make too of our list of places to go for big group.

Went for brunch on a Sunday morning with a friend who had already been there and wanted me to try it. Although it’s a buffet, the food was good. BUT, what really made it stand out for me was the variety of foods they serve. There was so much to choose from! Definitely go hungry. I was trying to be «good» so I pretty much just had crab legs, boiled shrimp, fruit, red velvet waffles and of course unlimited mimosas! But they have anything from rice and beans to gumbo, potatoes, brisket, bagels, egg Benedict, salmon, fish, crawfish, just to name a few. Service was good, they were very diligent in filling up my glass and taking away plates. Now, I could tell this place was probably very pretty at some point… But now the outside looks a little run down and just not very well cared for. The pond had no fish, the grass looked dead in some places. If only they took better care of the place’s curb appeal, it could actually be a 4 to 5 star!

My family and I attended the Easter Brunch, and I must say we left quite disappointed. I held my wedding reception at Brady’s Landing 7 years ago around this time so I though it would be sweet to go back with my husband and our family. I was so wrong. With all the other brunch options in Houston, the fact that I went out of my way to choose this one made it even more disappointing. Unless you wanted waffles or omelets, all of the other food was processed, low quality stuff out of a box. Nothing was fresh. Nothing was hot. Nothing tasted good, and I come from the catering industry so I am familiar with the hard work that goes into feeding large groups of people. There is no way I would have served most of that stuff. Everything from the entrees to the desserts appeared to have come directly from a box to the pans. There was even the square cheesecake that was frozen in the middle much like you would get at a low budget buffet. We paid over $ 30 per person, and I can really say I feel cheated. We sat for nearly 20 minutes without even getting silverware. The waiters were working so hard because of the large crowds, but I just can’t get over the poor quality of the food served. After spending that amount of money, I still had to find something to feed my family that evening because we were so hungry because honestly no one wanted to eat that food. This was such a disappointment and a wasted rare occasion to get my family together in one place. I expected so much more. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed us horribly.

The family and I were feeling a little nostalgic and wanted to revisit Brady’s Landing after church for brunch. The omelette and red velvet waffles were pretty tasty. The rest of the food was just bland. The décor is dated and needs to be updated as it has not changed since 2000. However, our waitress, Nora was a gem. The ownership needs to invest in hiring more help behind the carving/omelette station because the kind and patient man there today had to do EVERYTHING by himself. The noise level was also a bit much for me from the adjacent table. Overall, I doubt very seriously if we will drive 20+miles again to dine here.

My wife and I were invited here for a charity gala. We had never been not even heard of it before. We did not expect a lot since we were told«it’s a nice place just don’t run out of gas or get a flat on your way there» as it is not in the best part of town I will agree it is not in the best part of town but I liked the place. Parking lot needs some work but the walk up was cool with wooden bridge and little ponds on either side you walk over. The inside is a rustic motif and place was clean and looked very presentable. Bathrooms were a little outdated but I don’t eat in the bathroom you know? The banquet hall we were in was BIG. Our group had almost 300 people. There are several other halls there as well but I am not sure the size. The food was buffet style and to me was very good. Salads were fresh. Breaded stuffed chicken breast. Fried seafood. Sides were great. I was really happy with the meal. I am honestly still not sure if this place is a restaurant or just an events place. There is a main dining area that looked like a restaurant. But on a Saturday night over 3 hours I think I saw maybe 3 tables occupied all evening. I ideas their bread and butter is on events I dunno. I liked the place and the view of the ship channel. Some might think it’s gross cause it’s not sail boats and a sandy beach but to me the channel IS Houston and just cool to see. Bar was small but stocked well with a variety of scotch which I liked.
