Wow, a hidden gem! I’m new to this area, but happened to pop in. It’s a little Mom and Pop restaurant. The owner runs the show. He waits on you hand and foot, and seems to really want you to feel at home. It seems like he is really proud of his cuisine and can make items specifically for you. I have to say the food was amazing and the service was great. Take your expectations and throw them out the door. Enjoy a small little quant Italian café that promises a low key atmosphere and great Italian food. I will say also, for the price, he has some excellent wine and beer prices that probably can’t be beat around here.

I was skeptical of the positive reviews this place was getting but I’m a believer now. Small mom and pop shop. Very unpretentious menu and food. It delivered. Kudos to them.

This is a very nice family owned restaurant with really good Italian food. My daughter and I came here for lunch on a Tuesday so it wasn’t that busy and they were very attentive. The garlic bread was really good and so was my chicken Alfredo and her chicken pomodoro caprese. I would definitely come here again it is very close to my house and they have great lunch specials.

This Thursday evening was a special dining experience for us. Piccolo Café is a wonderful family operated Italian Café of exceptional value and quality. The house wines ‘by the glass’ are far better that one would expect. The pino grigio is a notch above. Having the stuffed mushroom appetizer is a near divine experience, with a sauce that is so amazing it is worth the trip alone. I don’t think a single breadcrumb is used in its preparation, as it’s rich with crab meat and artichokes. Order it — you’ll thank me. My wife had the chicken piccata that was so tender she didn’t use her knife. The piccata sauce was delicious and perfectly seasoned. While I ordered the finest lasagna to be had. Piccolo’s red sauce is thick, rich and full of classic true Italian flavor. The complimentary garlic bread is so fresh that it seemed to be ‘just baked’. If you think you’ll had a great tiramisu for dessert, then you’re change your opinion after a slice at Piccolo’s. It’s a sensual experience. We already can’t wait for our next visit…

Saw the great reviews on here and decided to give this place a shot a few days ago. I forgot to do the review but it was so good, I figured it deserved one. Our waiter was the owner, the place was quiet and the ambience calm. We ordered the sautéed mushrooms as an appetizer, amazing! Girlfriend had the lasagna, amazing! I had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, amazing! We finished with the tiramisu, amazing! The garlic bread is to die for, the pinot grigio was perfect. Overall a 10⁄10 Will return

Absolutely amazing! The food is so good and true to its Italian flavors. They start you off with garlic bread that is just wonderful. We ordered the Escargots– way better than what we have had before. My husband got Piccolo’s Veal Saltimboca– the sauce was delicious and the veal was tender and awesome! I got the Linguine Pescatore– I have never had something so delicious! The fish was fresh and tasted just right. I cannot say enough about how GREAT our experience was!

A lovely, quaint dining experience in a rustic and pleasantly decorated family Italian restaurant. Have been coming here for years and enjoyed the consistent deliciousness and freshness of many of their dishes. Extremely well priced food and drinks, one of the few gems in the local area. Go Piccolo’s!

I ate there on 5⁄30. The food was good, the service was great. I liked that they did NOT have TVs. I would go there again. I highly recommend you give them a try. Great family atmosphere!

Was craving Italian food and saw the good reviews so we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed and glad we came. The food is amazing and fresh. Will definitely come by again and try more of the menu. If I could give Piccolo’s 6 stars I would.

This restaurant is the neighborhood gem we all hope to find. Fabulous food and totally affordable. From the moment you step through the door it feels like you are entering a cozy little trattoria in Italy. Nothing fancy mind you, just soft Italian music playing in the background And soft lighting creating a beautiful ambiance. Note: on Fri nights they have the most adorable live entertainment. But it is the food that will keep you coming back time and time again. First they bring complimentary garlic toast to your table — basically the best you’ve ever tasted. Then a fresh salad comes with most entrees. So fresh and delicious! Then the main course… It really doesn’t matter what you order… it is all so good. My mother always orders the spaghetti with meat sauce, my sister adores the lasagna. I love the pasta Rustica with grilled chicken and grilled vegetables in a garlic sauce. And if you love escargot… omg…most entrees are under $ 12.00 at dinner with crazy lunch specials. We had our family Xmas eve party here –26 people and everyone loved it… you will too.

Delicious food. Our server is the owner. Quiet person but kind. Décor is modest so don’t judge a book by its cover. The food is very, very high quality Italian. We went with a party of 9 and everyone loved their dish: lasagne, trout special, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, lamb bucco special, chicken Marsala, etc. We had several folks in our party from the East Coast who appreciate good Italian food and they agreed this restaurant is legit. No idea how the person who gave this place 1 star had such a bad experience. Our experience was VERY different. If you want Italian food, start here.

Excellent Italian food, the real stuff! The outside is not much to look at but inside nice and simple but the food is excellent.

I was craving for some good Italian food and came cross this cute restaurant. It feels so homey inside and the waiter is polite and professional. Obviously it didn’t have many Asian customers so owner was thrilled when he saw me. As for the food, to be quite honest I know nothing about Italian food except for pasta, garlic bread, lasagna… so I stick with Italiana Pasta. The meal served with a few slices of so yummy garlic bread and a vinegar salad. The pasta is really good, the sauce is rich and tasteful. I end my delicious meal with Italian ice cream. Seriously one of the best ice cream I ever taste! Will come back for more!

Me and my husband were craving lasagna for dinner. The Lasagna House III had about an hour wait… so we decided to use Unilocal to find something nearby. Low and behold, this place had very good ratings and we were literally a block away. We decided to take a chance on this place. We got in and there was no wait. The owner and his wife were extremely friendly and they even had a guy playing an accordion(which made the ambiance more romantic). It is a quaint hole in the wall restaurant, so it made the meal special. I got the chicken parmigiana(which was melt in your mouth delicious) and my husband had the lasagna(which he inhaled). We had the fried zucchini which was TODIEFOR!!! We will definitely be going back to this place for the nice romantic rendezvous. We highly recommend this place!

The waiter was very rude. When I ordered for more garlic bread for the table, the waiter asked us «are you sure you want to eat more calories!!!» Though the food was okay I am NEVER going back here.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is consistent and always amazing. The sauces for every dish are obviously homemade. Ansalmo– the owner– is a wonderful host who obviously works very hard doing something he loves.

As others have mentioned, the host isn’t the most personable, but his service was quick. I went for lunch so I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich. I was expecting something on a sub roll or similar. What came out was a large thin piece of fried chicken on two seperate 6“x4″ italinan bread rolls. It was fantastic… and I had one to bring home since I could only eat half! Also, the garlic bread is phenominal! I ate an entire basket by myself and my buddy killed another. The only thing I was not particularly fond of was my glass of iced tea. It tasted very odd. I finished the first glass and got another, hoping for a different result but it was the same.

It was Monday night and I was on Unilocal to see any good restaurants around and landed here. We walked in and there was about 3 tables and we were told to pick a a seat. After reading over the reviews, I ordered the escargots, lasagna, and chicken Alfredo. We were first presented with garlic bread and said. The garlic bread was delicious but every other review on here can tell you that. Escargots: it was tasteless. They literally just smacked oil and garlic and bam. Pass please. Lasagna: it was a bit on the salty side for me but it was full of meat and cheese. Chicken Alfredo: I love the cheese! It was smooth, light, and mouth watering! I am only eating chicken Alfredo here.

Small Mom & Pop Italian restaurant near the office. My coworker comes here at least once a week and now I know why!!! They serve house garlic bread and salad with your meal. The bread is simple but so good. I couldn’t stop eating it! The salad was mediocre. I tried the Lasagna because that’s what my coworker gets every time. It was delicious! Very meaty and cheesy, just how I like it! Another coworker got the Chicken Pesto Pasta and it looked really good too. Will have to come back and try it next time.
