I don’t know if the best in Houston, but certainly one of the best. The sauce that they serve with the soup is great!

I love this place. The broth is so similar to the way my mom makes phở. This is the only place i would go eat phở at beside homemade phở.

Steak here is really yummi! The steak was very soft and tender. And also if you’re a fan of fatty flank, I recommended you to have it here! In general, I think this place is really goood compare to most Phở restaurants in Bellaire. Just remember to bring CASH with you

This isn’t my favorite place to go to, but since i don’t really have anything against it, I won’t deduct a star. They have fresh orange juice here and their broth is pretty decent, their minced beef is not the eye of round but filet mignon. And it’s seasoned, they give you a sauce, but I like to remix it with sriracha, saté, and lime with a dash of pepper. And there you have a great dipping sauce. My favorite is still PVD but they’re only open late, so I go here for the mornings, they open at 10!

Disclaimer: Posting on my cousin’s behalf. He ordered(2) large to go bowls. One of the meats requested was«gau»(fatty brisket). In both to go boxes, there was only one(1) piece of gau in each. I don’t care what phở establishment you go to. Giving one piece of meat is unacceptable.

If you haven’t tried what they have to offer, then you sir/ma’am are missing out on one of the best phở restaurants in Houston. You gotta believe in the broth they use and what they have as extras. It’s about the avg price for phở at any other phở restaurant in China town. The bone marrow with an egg and marinated beef on the side is what I’m going to recommend you try. It’s truly unhealthy, but hey… I’m giving up health for flavor! They only take cash, so remember to bring cash money! China town needs to get with the program. Who carries cash these days?!

Phở a hung by night might not be the best phở place. However, they do have the best calf meat phở. What really makes this place is that ginger sauce. It’s soooo good. Well worth going even though the broth isn’t as great as other places. This place is cash only and I don’t believe they speak much English. Bring a friend and bring cash. If you’re just looking for a late night phở place and don’t care about the calf meat, I’d go to phở Binh by night. But if you want calf meat or ox tail, come here for sure!

I came in for just a bone marrow soup. It was pack of people but they still gave great and very very quick services. I love the drinks menu, got a penny worth juice. I love that it close late, 1am, sadly, that they only gave little bone marrow meat in the soup. Tom is still smiling when is pack of customer, he is very friendly and give a very quick services.

This was probably the best Phở I’ve ever had. They serve the meat raw on a separate plate so u can cook it on the broth to your liking. Delish. But – CASHONLY. come prepped.

I was never the big fan of phở, I’m more of a dry noodle or rice kind of asian. However the portion was good, a bit pricier then most phở restaurants. The only thing I didn’t like about the phở was the broth. It was so oily, which takes away from the flavor of the broth.

Place is not the same. Broth is inconsistent and meat doesn’t taste fresh. The original owner /chef that opened this restaurant has sold this establishment a few years ago.

Vietnamese food was a must for my Texas visit. My girlfriend’s go to spot was sold out so we decided to give Phở A Hung By Night a try. I ordered their phở tai be(beef noodle soup with calf eye round steak) and it was so delicious. The soup had tons of flavor and served with onions and chopped green onions. The calf eye round steak was served raw and on the side and it was so good and tender. After dipping the steak into the piping hot soup, dip the cooked steak into their sauce which we could only describe as a plum and ginger sauce. We decided to split a side of meatballs($ 3.99 or $ 0.50/meatball) to add to our bowls so the small bowl of phở was enough to fill me($ 7.49 small/$ 8.49 large). Service was difficult mainly because there was a language barrier. We had a bit of trouble ordering and asking what was their sauce. I’m allergic to peanuts and so I’m pretty good about checking. I asked the waitress what was in it because I was allergic to peanuts and her reply was«sauce». WHATTOKNOW: *Cash only *Kids, small, or large bowls available *They don’t serve appetizers or any other types of noodles… only phở *They’re open late. Depending on the night, you can expect them to be open until at least midnight. *Private parking lot

I’m not a phở expert, but I know that you have a good bowl of phở when you don’t have to put that much hoisin sauce in it. You have the option of ordering your meat on the side to add in later. The temperature is just right, and the noodles have just the right amount of bite to them. The bowls came out really fast too, even considering how phở usually comes out fast in general. Cash only though! But it’s worth it.

Had the Oxtails Phở. Was good but like most Oxtails, not a lot of meat. But it’s ok. The Brother and Extra beef balanced it all out

Absolutely the best phở place in Chinatown in terms of flavor! This is my go-to place for phở, and i actually recommend this place to people. The broth is tasty and full of flavor without being too sweet. The broth isnt oily. The tai and gan isnt minced into pieces like some places. However, the sach is cut into large pieces that make it difficult to eat. As great as everything is, the portions of the meat is inconsistent. I cant tell what is supposed to be the«normal» amount of meat because they put different amounts each time. I love the tai, so its disappointing sometimes. There has been one time where the meat didnt look as fresh as im used to. I took off one star for inconsistency. The customer service isnt that great. I ask for extra limes, and they always seem hesitant to give me extra. One of the middle-age ladies gave me a little attitude and sighed when she brought me the limes. For all the times that I’ve been, they have yet to refill any water. Another star off for not-so-great service. There are many tables and the place is big, so there are no worries of a wait. The place is cleaned up in a timely manner. I keep coming back to this place because the flavor of the phở is best I’ve had in Chinatown, and i still get my limes as troublesome as it is to ask for more.

Ok so I finally get to write a review to this place after eating here twice. I waited only because my first time, they ran out of chicken phở so I had to try the beef phở with no meat. Let’s start off with my first experience. My bf and I was looking for a new phở place to eat. Just to try and experience the difference. There hasn’t been a phở that«wow’ed» me just yet and the bf unfortunately can’t tell much of a difference. Like I said for my first time I wasn’t able to get the chicken so I ended up with meatless beef phở. I was scared to eat it but once they set that bowl in front of me I can smell the fresh aroma of good phở. The broth was delicious! I was quite surprise after adding hoisin sauce and my lime into it. The bf enjoyed his phở too and got the number 1 both times we came here. He said he likes the different of variety of meats that they put in and that the portion large was just right for him. The second time we came, we went late like around midnight. We were being bums that whole day and decided to eat a late dinner. Since they offer late hours we decided to come here again. And yes, this time they had chicken phở. It wasn’t that bad but it wasn’t the best either. I just liked how less fatty or greasy their broth was. The only complaint I had is they only gave me dark chicken meat. I’m bigger fan of white meat. With only small pieces of dark meat, I felt cheated out of a good piece of meat with my phở. Also being that it was late, they waited for us to finish eating and didn’t seem very patient with us and stared down at the both of us. I felt a bit uneasy and it was barely 12:13am when we were about done. Their sign said they close at 1am. If you don’t care about customer service that much and wanna try close to homemade phở then here’s a place to go.

This is my grandma’s favorite place to eat phở… and that says a lot! The place seems a bit of a hole in the wall. The menu is extremely basic because they mostly focus on phở. My grandma ordered the«phở dac biet» or special phở which comes with various meats for the BF and I. The special sauce they provide is really unique. I don’t know how to describe it but it’s got a bit of tang which is perfect for dipping your meat in! Hoisin and sriracha almost don’t compare… Noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth had good flavor. My first choice for phở now!
