Olde City Pub & Grill

I love this little pub. I do not go often enough but when I do I eat way too much, especially the burgers and french fries! Wonderful wonderful wonderful place to have a bite a pitcher of beer and play some fun games

5 Stars for Steak Night on Wednesdays! For $ 13 you get a nicely grilled steak with two sides. I chose the spinach and loaded mashed potatoes which were both good. The steak was so great, especially considering the price you pay! You definitely get more than what you pay for, in my opinion — no steak sauce necessary!
The bartender was also very friendly and comfortable to talk to. Keep an eye out for Manny Pacquiao! ;)
My only regret is that I lived literally walking distance from here for over a year and a half and came to this place only a week before having to move!

Make sure Ducky is your bartender because he is really nice. I have been here several times and like the place. It’s a dive but fun!
We ordered Southwest Egg Roles and Irish Nachos. They were typical bar food and pretty good.
It is a local bar that is very welcoming and fun.

If you like hole in the wall bars, this is your place! Great prices and no judgements. Check it out :)

Thursday man… that’s the shizzz! The Big Burgers are some of the best I have ever tasted… not just in a bar, but at some really good restaurants, at least as good as Beck’s Prime, maybe better, because they are 5 bucks! Strong drinks, but this place is a little pricey… and look out for the parking lot, because… well… very adult things go on there, which just makes me like it more. ;)

These reviewers have lost their minds. This place has one of the best burgers in the entire Houston area. It’s dank, and yeah maybe some of the employees have drug problems. I only care for my burger. The curly frys are some of the best, and the other sandwich I’ve tried was also real impressive for bar food. Bar has a strange lay out, and porch. Who cares eat your burger.

Comfortable, old style pub with great food and drinks to boot. I was first invited for pool and shots with a group of friends on a friday night and now ive been back in the afternoon for lunch a few times and i will continue.
sipping good beer, great service, great interaction with the bar keep, good conversation, watching my choice of sports (golf) on one of their many TVs, AMAZING Ruben sandwich… difficult to disagree with.

this place sucks! Horrible service and the horrible food. Never returning to the dump again! It took us about 30 mins just to get our drinks (water) and another 45 mins to get our food!

The name fits this place perfectly. Walking in is kind of dinky and run down but it smelled good outside. I was not expecting anything since it’s a pub but I came in for steak night since a friend wanted to try.
It took 20 minutes for the server to come by and talk to me. This is not TOO horrible. but she walked to EACH of her tables before we had to literally flag her down. She did not really know her way around the menu and specials and barely checked up on us during our time there. They brought the food out to half the table saying they were cooking the other half. 30 minutes later. where’s the rest? Nowhere. What the #$CK? I did not get to eat any steak because I did not want to wait another hour after being there for an hour and a half.
From what I HEARD from my friends who got their food. The steak/​salmon tasted frozen and lacked flavor. I would love to write a review about their food, but they make getting food harder than squeezing water from a rock.
Did we get an apology? No, that would be asking too much. I will never come back.

Like visiting an old dirty uncle’s house, dusty, smoky, poorly kept and obviously the AC doesn’t work all that well. They have taken care of buddies well apparently as they’re regulars and rave about trivia night. It’s the same $h!thole I remember from when I lived in Klein, and now in even worse condition. Bathrooms were dirty, they still allow smoking indoors, and the beer isn’t as cheap as I was promised. I don’t care for the low ceilings, cramped quarters, lack of adequate air conditioning, and the trashy wait staff. Food was typical fried bar food, not bad but nothing to write home about either. And strangely unlike most bars they’ll hold your credit card until you cash out, and had trouble finding mine but did eventually sort that out. I wish I had something nicer to say I really don’t, I’ve never liked this place and I guess I never will.

Their burgers are delicious. Puts 5 Guys to shame. :) ½ pound burger on a *large* (poppy seed?) bun, about 5 to 5 ½ inches in diameter. The meat is spiced wonderfully and has a fantastic flavor.
Price: $ 7.50 and comes with Fries.
Definitely the best TASTING burger I’ve had in a long time, and with the fries, comparatively priced with most ½lb burgers that you’ll find anywhere.
Now I want to go back for steak night. :)

Lots of wood surfaces, shuffleboard, foosball, and pool table, and live music when I was there. An atmosphere that wasn’t stuck up and snobby. In general, I liked it. It has the older set (50+) and the younger set (26+) but neither feels out of place. I intially ordered chips and queso but it was realyy chips and melted Cheez Whiz but it was enough to use on all chips (which is a plus for me! lol), and later ordered a Captain burger which was really good: toast tasty, added mushroom delicious, melted cheese and perfectly grilled meat. The drinks were filled repeatedly and the staff was friendly. It definitely reminds me of a «home town bar» that anyone can go to and feel comfortable. I definitely will be back!

This place has such a great charm that we keep going back! A couple of highlights– love the outside patio area, tons of room and had good music last time we were there. There is a space that you can rent in the back for private parties. There are pool tables, not that I am any good at playing pool. There are a lot of booths that you can feel secluded from the rest of the «bar scene». They have this cool area with chairs and a table that you can have your own private area. Definitely a fan!

My first lunch here was a cheeseburger… good n greasy… Came back tonight (not steak night) but opted for the steak anyway. Both mine and my husbands were overcooked and cooked on a griddle, not an open flame. First, the waitress came back to tell us they didnt have mashed potatoes but they had grilled.Ok. Then she came back to say they didnt have the grilled squash but they had mixed veg, which no one wanted. Then they kept forgetting my hubbys salad dressing. Seems Steak Night, not Tuesday night is the time to come. At least I was not charged for mine. 2 other steaks at our table of 8 came out overcooked and one undercooked. Poor delivery, waitress was ok, but come on. They were out of a lot and we didnt hear about it till 45 min later. On a brighter note, loved the cozy pub atmosphere, lots of pool tables, shuffleboard, etc and the A/​C was kickin so that was a big plus for me. I will go back for a burger or salad but will have to pass on the steaks. Cool local hangout, guess we just got a bad night.

Great place, comfortable atmosphere.
I’ve only been there once, but it was a great experience. It was busy, but not packed. Plenty of seating and pleasant staff. Almost no waits at the bar.
My wife and I sat on the patio for a while then went inside and found a quiet, cozy corner with comfortable chairs.
It seemed like there were a lot of secluded areas for relaxed conversation. Highly recommended!

I like Olde City Pub. It is a neighborhood hangout that has a great covered deck (with fans in the summer and enclosed in the winter) and pool tables, darts and plenty of TV’s inside. They usually have a DJ and the scene is young, but not TOO young.
I can easily get carried away here — it’s comfortable, the price is right and the people are fun here too. Worth checking out if you don’t care for the clubs or ueber-​trendy young hangouts. One of the nicer places this side of town.
