Members Choice Credit Union

I’ve been banking with members choice for just over 7 years. everything was great until two weeks ago. my transmission went out. I had to liquidate assets and transfer money in order to pay for it. I caught a ride across town to pick up my car and try to pay for it. first I use my debit card, didn’t work. then a check still declined. so I call members choice only to be told there is a limit to how much money I can spend in a day and since it’s 5 and after hours they can’t help me. spending over 2k to fix my car that I’m still paying off shouldn’t be any more painful than it already is.
last week after work I go run some errands. when I swipe my card I am told that the card is flagged as fraud. members choice deactivated my card without notifying me. luckily I wasn’t across town and needing to get gas. when i called they said they would rush deliver me a new card in time for me to go out of town for the weekend. I did not receive that card at all. I did however locate the card they had initially sent me a month ago so I tried to activate it. no such luck. so now I need to buy groceries for the week and put gas in my car to get to work and can’t access my money.
the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. and if you need assistance after hours in most cases your out of luck. get it together members choice. I’m currently finding a new bank.

Worst service. Very rude people. The drive through lanes take forever and there is usually only one open.

The phone numbers online are impossible and no one picks up the phone there. The number routes you to a ridiculous set of options but if you choose replace Lost/​Stolen card. It routes you to the Loan Department. The only way I got a live person was to hit the Collection options. I was on the phone for a total of 45 minutes trying to get through! I am closing my accounts and moving everything to a real bank. I gave this credit union a shot. And it’s just not user friendly and everything takes an Act of God to get done… even just answering the phone! I had a rough time when I joined too…
