The food was okay but i wasn’t feeling too hungry after the terrible service that i got from my waitress. Couldn’t enjoy my food after she wasn’t able to bring my beverage after i ordered it from her and when she never came i went up to the bar and ordered again, and once again i still hadn’t recieved my beverage i had to go up to the manager and order directly from her. I had to call several other servers just to get what kept missing since my waitress was NEVER around. After i complained to the manager the waitress named Daniela had the audacity to come over to me with and attitude and asked why we went to her manager. She was very rude and had never attended us. An this was on steady day. So no reason why she took so long or why she was talking to her coworkers and such. Never coming back again.

Warning: this is a family atmosphere… cafeteria feel… kind of place. I’d get it to go next time instead of paying $ 5 a beer. Calamari: Meh. Served with tartar sauce. Stuffed jalapeños: Meh. Served with tartar sauce. He had the mambo combo. Waaaay too much fried food. That was our bad… we didn’t pay attention to the menu that it was all fried. The grilled vegetables included two red potatoes, 1 zucchini piece, 2 red bell pepper pieces, 1 carrot and 1 green bell pepper piece. Skimpy, but he liked them. The salad is lettuce with one slice of tomato and one slice of cucumber. The saving point was my bacon wrapped shrimp. I’m going back for that. Hands down. Fries were whatever. Salad I didn’t really bother with. But 6 bacon wrapped shrimp for $ 15 was a great deal. He also got the shrimp fried rice. It’s really Chinese style fried rice. For the extra $ 2, you can get it habanero style. We didn’t taste that at all. So we feel like we got the short end of that.

Food was great. I ordered the #1 which is fish&shrimp with rice as my side. Did I mention the rice was shrimp fried rice?!? Even better than the fries! Our server was nice and attentive. Came with two other people and our food came very quickly! Definitely will come back and try the rest of the menu!

The service is always great… The food is always fresh… The atmosphere is always upbeat and they have flat screens throughout so you can watch sports… A big plus is they now have fountain drinks which is awesome because before it was only 20oz… The beer is super cd and the Micheladas are the best… Ceviche is very tasteful and savory… The fried rice is the best in Houston.

I’ve been here too many times to count, and over the course of maybe 6 – 7 years, it’s gotten much, much better. At first the servers were mostly Spanish-speaking only, which made it pretty hard to order, ask questions about the menu, etc, but the service has really improved. All the servers are fluently bilingual, and very friendly at that. Now the food; it’s all delicious, seriously. The fried rice is better than most Chinese places, and their fried seafood is very tasty and golden to perfection. Other menu items also, like grilled seafood, ceviche, shrimp cocktail, and they’re all fresh. Add a $ 3.50 michelada and you’re good to go! Very casual, family friendly seafood spot. On the inexpensive side too.

Okay seafood… not the best, but I can eat there. Price is low, but because of this there are usually a lot of people there. Wish they had more English speaking waitresses. For quick and low price seafood eat here. If you want better seafood, but a little more pricer try Pappa’s Seafood across the freeway.

I love this restaurant ! I would give it 5 stars but I found a small hair on my food .Been there numerous times never happened. Other than that I love the fried shrimp and catfish with fries and that tauter sauce. With a squeeze of lemon Bön a’petite!

Absolutely the best fried rice from a chain restaurant. Order the fried rice by itself, so it is cooked to order and fresh. The fried rice that is included with platters is not nearly as good since it is precooked in large quantities. The rest of the food is good, not great. An enjoyable experience if you like excellent fried rice.

Next time you go you have to try their ceviche tostada, one word AWESOME! Food is very consistant and always the same portions each time i’ve been, I only have one minor complaint the Shrimp cocktail lacks enough cocktail sauce for me, other than that great place to eat and drink with good friends.

Like the commercial says«It’s Mambo-Nifico!» Well in my opinion it really is. I have eaten at this location four times now. The food has been consistently fresh and delicious. The portions are huge and the quality is far more than you’d expect from a «budget» seafood restaurant. Their fried oysters are large and juicy. A hearty serving of their shrimp fried rice is served with practically everything on their menu and it is oh so tasty. On a recent visit, I tried their ceviche tostada and it made a perfect appetizer. Next time I might just order two and have it as a meal. Their lime margaritas are smooth and strong. I don’t think they are made with tequila but whatever it is its good! They are also famous for their micheladas. Mambo is definitely on our dining out list!
