The best Fajitas you will ever find! Anyone that gives this place bad reviews are just a**holes and were probably there on a busy Friday night and had a little bit of a wait. Staff is always friendly and polite. Even if the staff were awful I would keep coming back, that’s how great the beef fajitas are!!!

This place definitely has the best beef fajitas I’ve ever had. While they are a bit pricey $ 21 for the small order they do come with fresh hot flour tortillas, guac, cheese, rice, beans and pico. The parking lot is always packed which can be a pain. One more thing is that they should bottle and sell their marinade.

I’m a huge fan of Lupe tortillas, and most of the locations around town are all pretty good. Having said this, I would have to say that this location kind of let me down. As usual we ordered the mixed fajitas, and I don’t know if the skillet they use usually burns the meat or what, but our chicken and steak came out charred. Manager came out and said he could make us another batch to take home, but the damage was done. Slow service and bad food give this location 2 stars.

Second visit there on my recent trip. Excellent chill out place with some great food. Being a vegetarian at times does limit the choices, however even though it is the normal fare for selection, good food. The starters as in any Mexican restaurant, the nacho’s are a treat to start with and their salsa sauce is fairly good. The Margarita is excellent, not too much of ice, just about right, not too mild, not too strong. Quesadillas this time, good quantity, well done. Did not disappoint and as usual, look forward to another visit again. The only down side, the place is a bit too small, gets too cramped. There were three of us on a table that was meant for six, felt short. At best, we could have had one more person there. Service can take a beating, which is a shame, as for the food, quite a number of people land up there, it sort of gives a feeling that you are welcome, but hey, wait till we get time for you. Tip: Order at the first outset all that you want, for doing it in parts, can be a killer. A bit of rating lost for that… 3.5

Great fajitas, tortilla chips and salsa. Food is cooked well, tasty, and meets all expectations. Service is fast and friendly. An excellent place for Tex-Mex in Houston!

Came here from Austin for lunch. They have recently expanded to the Austin market. I like that we came to the original. We are here for lunch. Julian, our waiter, has been very attentive. We love the beef fajitas, queso flamado, margaritas, and bacon wrapped shrimp! Julian needs a raise! We will be back ! Keep doin what u do lupe’!

My team goes here for lunch often. I’ve had just about everything in the menu. My favorite is the chicken fajitas. The tabletop guacamole is pretty good. I also like the chipotle smoked ribs. And you have to try The Original Chicken Lupe at least once. The staff is very friendly and thy have enough space to accommodate large groups. The only challenge is parking. There is limited parking in the area so sometimes you have to get creative.

Lupe’s casual open air restaurant is a great place to relax with a few margaritas and some tasty fajitas. The chicken or beef strips are tender and flavorful, with a nice smokiness to go with the grilled onions, chunky guac and homemade flour tortillas. Personally, I like to use the thin, crispy chips to accompany my fajitas, but either way, Lupe’s delivers on flavor. It’s a little pricey for the fajitas($ 20 for a half pound of beef), but you do get what you pay for. I’m not a huge fan of the rice and beans, but I usually think of those as fillers anyway.

I consider their beef and chicken fajitas the best in Houston, tender and spicy. When we’ve ordered takeout there a sizable service fee was added to my Bill(and may still be) to cover the Styrofoam packaging and labor involved. The manager would not remove the fee, and I will never order out again. It is often very crowded and noisy but the wait is never long. Eating outside is pleasurable during the cooler times of the year. One can enjoy warming their feet with the gas flame burner in the front of the business whether waiting for a table or enjoying a drink.

Great tortillas and fajitas. It keeps me coming back on each trip rain or shine… but the service is so bad and lackluster this place gets only 3 stars. It’s almost a sport the way the move so slow and act like each order or request is a surprise. Get loaded before you go and it goes a little smoother. They need to upgrade the TV’s.

REWIND! My visit last month wasn’t so great but they more than made up for it at my most recent visit. We celebrated my son’s 18th here. Service was AWESOME, food was AWESOME. I had these new beef, chicken, or mushroom roll ups they’re now serving. DELICIOUS! The menu is always fun to read with the Spanish accented phonetic spelling of certain words… chicken is «cheekin’! I treated my party of 8 to lunch and the bill was about $ 150 including tip. :-) Love me some Lupe!

If you have a heart for Mexican food, this is absolutely a place to visit. Tamales we’re delicious, never have I had charro beans and salsa with tortilla chips before ordering. Scenory was very delightful, staff was friendly, and waitress was very attentive. I was amongst great conversation which made the entire encounter a great one!

First visit and I’m Only giving this place 2 stars based on their lack of willingness to accommodate. I’m totally ignoring the fact that we sat for 10 minutes and I had to go to the bar to order my drinks. On a scale from 1 – 10 on the flavor of the salsa I’d give it a 6, but I’m not a «chunky» salsa person, and I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant with only a «chunky» salsa option. I asked if they could just pulse the salsa in the food processor for a second and was told no. so it’s nice to sit here and choke down dry chips. I inquired about the Guacamole salad, as a second option which is avocado, and fresh veggies(onions, cilantro, tomato) which I do not care for raw.(same reason I didn’t care for the salsa) I asked if they could just make me a guacamole without the raw veggies(basically just bring me some avocado) and again I was told no. Based on these 2 things I will not be back, I come from a Food and Beverage back ground and being told that they do not have a food processor or blender, and that they cannot just give me some avocado is a ridiculous lie. lupe Tortilla, what a disappointment! I haven’t actually tasted the food yet because we’re still waiting… PS.after all the requests above concerning Raw veggies you would think that if the dish I ordered was topped with Raw Onions the server would have enough sense to ask if I wanted them or not. enchilada sauce was bland and flavorless and had to douse my food with bottled hot sauce.

Visited during lunch bout 12 — Parking is a bit of a challenge so be sure to get there early if you want to park nearby. There is parking in a surface lot but a bit of a walk. There were four of us and did not rsvp. The wait was not too bad for a lunch hour in a busy area, We waited about 15+ min in the bar area. Not great if you are in a hurry. The service was good and quick. I had the three peppers cheese stake and it was excellent! One of the other guest in the party had the same the others had taco salads which also received a thumbs up. Overall the noise level was fine able to have a business conversation. I enjoyed the food and the service, parking eah, but would recommend a visit.

This place was much more hyped up and not as great as I was told. I actually prefer Chuy’s over this. The menu wasn’t very extensive and the food quality was decent. I had much higher expectations when I saw that some of the menu was in Spanish. But, this is just a typical Tex-Mex restaurant. It took my friend and I awhile to be seated because we(unknowingly) entered the restaurant from behind. A few employees walked past us, and around us, without explaining what we needed to do to be seated. This place, however, fills up quickly. We were one of the first to be seated, and about an hour after they reopened, the place was packed. I also didn’t notice any happy hour specials, even though we were there during typical happy hour, hours. Overall, I probably wouldn’t return.

I’m sorry but this has to be the worst Lupe tortillas. I ordered fajitas to go and ordered an extra order of tortillas and was told by management that I wasn’t charged for them even though I had a receipt saying otherwise. I also didn’t get sour cream or guac that normally comes with the order of fajitas. To add insult to injury the person that brought out my order said, the tip is not included in the total. I called them back just to let them know what happened as I was already home and wasn’t going to just drive back for tortillas and they said oh no it’s ok we didn’t charge you for them when the charge was clearly on my receipt. Wow just wow an apology would of sufficed Instead of lying to me saying that I didn’t get charged for them. We will never order from or recommend this place again. Sigh I had to edit this post, as we were eating our dinner we find this in the salsa(long hair)

This place is bomb. Best fajitas in the area. The steak lupe is craveable and their tortillas are some of the best I’ve had. Perfect with a nice margarita on a Sunday.
