Staying in Hilton Clear Lake on business. Despite reviews I thought I’d try hotel restaurant. Not too busy for Sunday at 6pm, so I got table by window with a nice lake-view. More customers filed in but went straight to the bar or high tops. Menu was a little pricey, but mesquite salmon dish(with herb rice and green beans) was very good. Service, sole waiter Diego, was extremely attentive and polite.

We ate two meals here over a 24 hour stay. Lunch: We were seated by the windows, which was pretty, and ordered taco salads. The server was super nice to us, and the salads were just ok. The place was dead. Breakfast: Fabulous breakfast Buffet! Well worth it and ten times better & packed with folks. Service again was exceptional. This restaurant is a hotel restaurant and really reflects the state of the hotel at the moment, which needs a MAJOR facelift and reinvention! But, if you are stranded there like us, you can get a good meal with a smile.

I hate giving a one star review but I truly feel this place deserves it. They sell themselves as a fine dining establishment so the bar is raised. I ordered the Tuna steak and it was horrible. It was fresh but the sauce was awful. It tasted like soy sauce and sugar. That’s it. The sauce just didn’t go well with the fish. It was mostly raw which to me is great, but the sauce should have been less sweet. The vegetables was soaked in the sauce as well and made it taste horrible. It was the worst! For breakfast I paid the extra to have the buffet. The syrup for the French toast was so thick that a line of syrup would go from the plate all the way to your mouth. It was so sticky. It did not even have a consistency of syrup. I enjoyed the fruit and granola but that was it! If I stayed here again I would spend the five minutes to drive down the road.

I tried the place because I was staying at the hotel and wanted something convenient. I had the chicken carbonara and it was tolerable, but fairly bland on the whole. The service was good, but the options were fairly limited, the food not amazing, and the price a bit hefty. I don’t think I’ll go back.

Worst Margueritas in town. Food wasn’t much better. Food taste like from a Mexican restaurant chain. Go across parking lot to Mr Sombreros for killer Margueritas.

Service was ok. Attentive but not very apologetic when the food came out bland. Ordered the Cajun Pasta and added shrimp(for $ 4) and only got three small overlooked pieces. I tried to eat it just to fill up before bed but had to stop because there was absolutely no flavor. Either the chef doesn’t care anymore or is having an off night. Either way, they removed it from my bill and two drinks with an appetizer and soup came to about $ 40. No where worth the money paid. Next time I’ll go to chilis.

My best advice is to try somewhere else. The menu is limited and over priced. If you have low standards, the food quality might meet your expectation.

The $ 56 per person Valentine’s Day special was a complete rip-off. I even came here starving and with low expectations as I know that hotel food usually isn’t great, but I still couldn’t eat it. I ordered beef wellington with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The beef was dry and hard as a rock and smothered in canned gravy. The potatoes looked disgusting and had zero flavor, and the grilled asparagus was actually cauliflower and bell peppers. See my picture for proof! Our server was nice and did her best so we explained to her that we weren’t upset with her and she did a good job. We paid for our champagne and went to get pizza at Boondogles down the road.
