The food was delicious! We made a last minute reservation for two and they were quickly accommodating. The service and and the ambience were great! I’ll definitely be back!

Best Italian I’ve ever had. Homemade pasta, homemade atmosphere, and a personalized chef cooking the best food ever. Five star, waste your time elsewhere and you’ll regret it

After multiple visits at lunch and dinner, this place consistently delivers very good food and very good service. Luigi has come out of the kitchen every time I have dined and inquired at at least one table about the food, experience etc… I have found all of the servers to be very accommodating and professional. Lasagna, tortellini, ravioli, fettucine alfredo all very tasty and fresh. The atmosphere is much nicer on the inside so don’t judge by the exterior!

Incredible food and incredible staff! Excellent service constantly had our waters full and our needs taken care of. Had the marinara eggplant entrée and it was incredible! Highly recommend this place for a date night. Had a first date here tonight and I think it definitely helped in getting another one.

Parking: The parking lot is very, very small. I mean it only has 15 spots and unless you are the first one there, expect to have trouble getting a spot. I ate with a group of 10 people on a Monday night at 7:00PM and there were only 6 spots left in the parking lot. So I am going to guess on the weekends or a Friday night, you most likely have to park on the street. Time and Day: Came on a Monday at 7:00PM. Place was not crowded at all and was probably about 15% full. So if you are just looking for a good time to eat, come on a weekday night. Food: I ordered the gnocchi saporito($ 18). In its description, it is described as potato dumplings in a pesto cream sauce. I never had gnocchi saporito before but I was somewhat impressed with it. The pesto cream sauce was delicious and the potato dumplings were so soft and chewy. I could easily compare it to eating mochi. The gnocchi saporito also comes with a grilled sausage(which I thought it was small considering how much ghnocci saporito they give you). I wish they gave you more meat with the dish, but the sausage was tasty. Overall, this dish gets a 3.5÷5. I would recommend people to get another dish that has more variety than this dish. This gnocchi saporito felt more like soup or a large appetizer than an actual entrée meal. Service: Outstanding and friendly service here. I was promptly greeted, guided to the table, checked up on us, refilled our water periodically, and was very friendly here. Service here gets an excellent 5⁄5. Price: The food here justifies its price. Overall: The food was above average, the service was excellent, and I love the atmosphere in this restaurant. Overall, this restaurant gets a 4⁄5.

Luigi’s is a restaurant gem off W. Alabama away from the general busy inner loop businesses. The service was impeccable. Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our wait service who was Italian descent. The food was very tasty and good value. The Italian rolls were a nice way to kick off dinner at no cost. A big treat was Luigi coming by the table to say hello and to see if everything was good. We’ll definitely go back. I do recommend tasting a couple of wines by the glass to decide which one to order.

Not only is the food worth five stars, but the service is too. IF I COULDRATETHIS10STARS I WOULD. I just want to make that clear. My boyfriend wanted lasagna. That’s all. It didn’t matter where it came from, but he just wanted to find a place with some damn good lasagna. We came across this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. It was a slow week night. We walked in and the interior is just gorgeous. The beams in the ceiling give so much character. It actually felt like I was in the kitchen of an Italian villa. But of course, that’s not a reason to give a restaurant 5 stars. I have to try the food first. We sit down and the waitress gives us the night’s specials. I ordered the veal special I wish I got a picture it was absolutely glorious. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna of course. Shortly after ordering the waitress apologizes and says that they are out of lasagna for the night. She recommended a spaghetti bolognese to make up for it. He skims over the menu for a while and ends up getting the spaghetti bolognese. When our food came out mine came out first, it was beautiful. When his came out the waitress surprised him with an extra plate of what was left of the lasagna. The chef came out and introduced himself to all the patrons and personally asked everyone if they were enjoying their meals. When he came to our table he explained how he didn’t have enough lasagna for a full portion, but he wanted him to be able to enjoy the lasagna. There was a little more than a half of a full portion, so they gave him what was left of the lasagna and made his day :) I really wish I had left a review as soon as we left this place. I remember thinking on my way out how much of a priority it was to me to leave a review about my amazing experience, but of course life got in the way. I didn’t get to write out my experience and now it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve been, so I’m a bit iffy on the details. I can’t remember exactly what my meal included, but I do remember being absolutely floored by how delicious it was. I remember the feeling I had when I first walked in and that was, «Oh wow. This place is beautiful.» I remember how sweet the waitress and the chef both were and how attentive they were to everyone in the restaurant at that moment. I can honestly say that I will never forget the experience I had at this restaurant and I just hope anyone else who comes here gets as great of an experience as I did. Luigi, you know what’s up.

The ambience and décor is perfect for a great date night. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. But on to the food! The olive oil mixture was by far the best I’ve had at any Italian restaurant! It was absolutely delicious! So normally I would’ve given 5 stars but heres why they get 4. The pasta was delicious. I will be back to try more of their pasta dishes. My fiancé had the gnocchi minus the sausage and it was divine. I had the lamb chops on special paired with a gnocchi and while the lamb chops had the burnt grill flavor AND lack seasoning, the gnocchi was so decadent and rich that I soon lost any interest in my protein. My brother had the Rustico Veal and same scenario… the veal was strictly meh but his fettuccine alfredo was amazing. For starters we tried the Calamari alla Tito aka calamari with crab meat and I felt like the crab meat didn’t add anything to the calamari and should’ve ordered it on its own. I shall return… for the pasta!

Delicious homemade pasta. What more can you ask for? Love that they have ½ size dishes for kids instead of kids menu. We’ll be back!

Delicious. Had one of their advertised wine dinners. Didn’t disappoint. Started out with an appetizer with their in-house made sausage grilled over roasted peppers. Next had a salad with Gorgonzola. Next, house made gnocchi in fresh tomato sauce with a sampling of veal Milanese. For the main course, had twin bone in lamb chop and filet. Some of the best lamb I have ever had with a raspberry balsamic glaze. Finally, for dessert, had a trio of crème brûlée, tiramisu, and house made biscotti. Even met Luigi himself.

When you are looking for real high quality Italian food, this place is it! The décor and atmosphere is very much a tradition Italian restaurant which I really do appreciate. They aren’t very busy even on the weekends so I haven’t felt the need to make reservations yet. The food is incredible fresh and flavorful. The portion size is great too. I usually order the Seafood pasta which has loads of fresh seafood, homemade pasta, and a wonderful pomodoro sauce. The steak with vodka pasta is also very good from the lunch menu. It isn’t on the dinner menu, but can be request. We also enjoyed the wine list too. We have always had wonderful service here and a great dinner. Definitely a great place for traditional Italian food.

Excellent italian food in a not so common location. This is a good date place, but there were a few things I didn’t like about my visit. While I was in the middle of ordering, my waiter excused himself to deliver food to a nearby table. That was very strange and kind of ruined the moment. The floors are tile and ceilings are high; thus, when you have big groups at other tables, the place can get loud quickly. The food was great, I ordered the chicken parmasean with fetucini diavalo. This wasn’t really on the menu, but they said they could make it for me. I’d prolly come back, even though my experience wasn’t flawless.

Stopped in for lunch for my wife today, 10÷5÷15. Considering the high reviews, I was certainly expecting better. The bread came with a bowl of olive oil enough for 50 pieces of bread so that seemed like a waste. We had the filet mignon lunch special and the trout entrée. The filet strips were seasoned nicely and tasty; however, you could tell from the cuts that these must have been their leftover pieces and it was not trimmed very well. Further, the vegetables that it sat on top of were, as I said to my wife, like we do at home, toss in whatever vegetables we need to get rid of and sauté it together. It was more bitter than flavorful and definitely disrupted the harmony of the dish both by taste and appearance. Further, it was very salty. As for the trout, it was breaded and fried nicely, the mash potatoes were good, but the spinach was way too salty. Further, the sauce on top of the fish was very acidic and, again, salty. I scraped half of it off. This dish was far better than the filet mignon, but, a current theme, too salty! The service was good though. The waiter was quite nice and we were seated promptly(we were the only other guests there — arrived a little before 1p). This was my second time going here. I went the first time with my kids but didn’t recall how it was, just remembered that something wasn’t quite right. After today’s meal, that’s when I recalled why. The food was too salty for my taste. It may be ok with you and seems to be the case considering the reviews; however, this will be my last trip there. Sorry Luigi’s.

Stopped in for dinner tonight — first time. The service was nicely handled. The food was honestly lackluster. We started with the calamari — nothing special. We split the eggplant parm and pasta. The eggplant was not that bad, but the pasta side — –seriously lacking — even with parm cheese. Although nothing was ‘bad’ — we walked out saying ‘probably won’t go back’ — not much that was memorable. Sorry guys.

This is a great little spot tucked away. Friendly attentive service, nice dining environment(neither too trendy nor too kitsch nor too bland), and good food. We loved the lasagna and eggplant parm. Big portions for a decent price. We were too full for dessert(good thing we didn’t order apps, though the fried artichoke was tempting). The valet parking is kind of a joke — why do all of the Houston restos do this? But I suppose they can fit more cars in the tiny lot this way?

This is my new favorite Italian restaurant! I came in for lunch and had the best vodka pasta with filet mignon on top!!! I must admit it was a first for me to have steak on top of pasta but it tasted amazing. My meal also came with a house salad and some bread with olive oil. The vodka pasta tasted great, it was full of texture and the sauce was filling, and the filet tasted just as good as if I had gone to Ruth’s Chris steakhouse. The service was impeccable too and although I’ve read a lot of reviews mentioning valet parking I was able to self park so I’m just going to assume that valet parking only applies in the evening.

Had a great time at Luigi’s. Food and service were both top notch. Perfect upscale atmosphere for a night out. Went to Luigi’s on a whim and was pleased to get a table with no reservation. Must have gotten lucky. Can’t imagine a restaurant like this not being packed. Luigi’s is on a small street and the restaurant exterior isn’t anything special, but the inside is sure to impress with unique rafters, wine bottles on racks against the walls, candlelight at the table. The service was on point. Ordered the linguine pasta but I wanted wheat pasta, and they delivered. Generous portion size and loaded with seafood. Will visit again.

Finally, I have found great Italian food in Houston, TX! We came for dinner on a Friday night and was impressed by the atmosphere. Every Italian restaurant we’ve been to in this city so far has been crowded, tables cramped, loud, and the food has been okay. This was not the case at Luigi’s. The inside of the restaurant had a lot of space between tables, so you were able to have a nice conversation with your party. They serve bread and oil when you first arrive. We were in the mood for pasta on this particular night, and I have to say after my first bite, I was hooked. I can’t wait to go back and try all of the different pastas, thank you, Luigi! What to order: –Tortellini Al Quattro Formaggi(ring-shaped homemade pasta, stuffed with a blend of ricotta, parmesan, mozzarella, fontina cheese, tossed in a tomato cream sauce) –Gnocchi Saporito(potato dumplings in a gorgonzola pesto cream sauce topped with walnuts and served with grilled sausage) Pros: –Best Italian food in Houston, TX –Great spacing of tables(atmosphere) –Service Cons: –None
