DISAPPOINTED! ALLBREADANDNOMEAT. The sandwich 4 horsemen was not satisfying. The meat was cut up deli meat and very little in every bite. The pictures on the truck are a lie. What famous chips, Doritos! I could have made a better sandwich with my eyes closed. Just sad. Truck came to our office in the galleria. They are quick and friendly but I guess they have to be in order to serve what they did.

I cannot say enough great things about lone star samwiches. I first connected with LSS through my job. I was in charge of recruiting food trucks to service my client. Out of the 933092 food trucks that I’ve dealt with, LSS stands out because the two co-owners, David and Kazi, are super passionate about that they do and it shows. They are excellent at responding quickly, and listening to your requests. They were the only truck to provide that level of partnership. Once I had the opportunity to try their samwiches, I became addicted to their four horsemen. It has brisket, ham, chicken, and turkey topped with bbq sauce and a spicy mayo on a pan bolillo. It’s one of the best bbq sandwiches I’ve had! With their combination of great food and service, they have become one of my favorites!

Only 4 reviews? Well this place is your average sandwich shop on wheels. I wish I could say more but none of the flavors in my sandwich went together well. I also was left a little hungry. The guy taking the order was friendly and told us the ham sandwich was sold out. Guessing thats the one to try? He suggested the Hughes as a good and popular sandwich. This was my first time and only tried one sandwich so I will go easy and give these guys another go. Alright time to take apart my sandwich: The chicken was cooked on a flat top with salt and pepper. I wish it had been marinated because it lacked flavor. There was smoked provolone on the sandwich but I couldn’t taste it because the horseradish mustard overpowered it. The egg was probably the best thing on the sandwich but again the egg lacked something(salt). I also felt there was more bread(french hoagie) to my sandwich than the internal contents. Overall an average sandwich doused in overpowering horseradish mustard for flavor. This truck has potential because there isn’t many sandwich places on wheels. I hope they can get their flavors working because I am looking for another go to food truck. I will wait some time and return to this truck to see if I have a better experience.

Solid food. Nothing spectacular, but definitely a motif when it comes to their samwiches. Little bit of everything from sweet barbecue to spicy peppers on the Hamwich(pretty much a Texan Cuban). Sandwiches just needed a bit more meat on them. The owner was really nice and accommodating, Made good suggestions and had the food ready in a reasonable time. Hard to compete with other food trucks, but a little bit of adapting and this place can stick it for the long run. I’ll give them a shot again in the future and see how things are.
