I have been wanting to try this place. I live very close and I love a good sandwich. Lets just say after my first day of having it for lunch I came back the next two days for lunch. So good! I had the same every time. The turkey on jalapeño bread. I love turkey and I normally go for wheat but had to try the bread and I was hooked. I wish It was opened later and I would like to try something from the breakfast menu.

I’ve never been a fan of delis since I’m not a huge fan of sandwiches, however Little Jimmy’s gyro is something I have constantly been back for! The only thing that deters me from going is the parking as it can be a pain during peak times. So I would suggest either going earlier or later than the crowd. Concept is similar to Which wich and Brown Bag where you check of what you want on your sandwich. What I love about getting a gyro here is all the different vegetables I can add! Tomatoes and onions never really do it for me as those are probably some of my least favorite things to eat. In addition to getting what veggies I want to eat, I always ask for extra sauce. NOTE: Avocado is free here! Most places will charge extra for avocado but Little Jimmy’s doesn’t!

I ventured into this little gem one day on my lunch break. Super friendly employees and super quick service. BUT the food is absolutely amazing! I ordered a sandwich with the jalapeño bread… I could eat this all day, every day. So delicious!

Best deli in Houston IMO! Fresh ingredients! Quick service! Had the gyro, BLT and their traditional club sandwich several times, and it just does not disappoint! Their portions are abundant, the bacon is juicy, and their jalapeño bread is the bombdotcom! My mouth is severely watering just from thinking about it as I type! Met the owner, George, a few times… He is the epitome of great customer service. His mom rang me up at the register last time we were in. It’s cool when you’re in the middle of a big city and get that«family owned and operated» feeling. Stop complaining about the parking — it sucks for this entire strip! Do yourself a favor, pass up Brown Bag and Which Wich and COMEHERE! Oh… And don’t forget to grab a cookie. Delish! :)

About a year ago, my friend introduced me to Little Jimmy’s. I was amazed, gave it 5 stars on Unilocal(top notch food, top notch service), and started grabbing lunch here almost once a week for over a year! There really isn’t too much of an update here, but I just want to applaud Jimmy and his deli for being so good to me in the past year! I’ve introduced so many of my coworkers to this place and they all fall in love :) Their favorites are the gyro and the soups. Since I always order the same thing(pita or jalapendo bread, smoked turkey, no cheese, honey mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, croutons, pickles), I decided to check out the tortilla soup today that my coworker recommended. The Chicken Tortilla soup is just as awesome as the sandwiches! So warm and comforting in this cold, unfamiliar, forty-degree weather. I highly recommend everyone to try this soup. Even after a year of coming here almost every week, Little Jimmy’s Deli still upholds the status of «My Favorite Lunch Spot.» I can never get sick of this place. If you haven’t checked it out, you’re missing out!

Little Jimmys is by far the best sandwich Ive had in the Greenway Plaza area. The ordering system is nice and efficient as you check off on a paper bag at the entrance. The owner /manager is so uptempo and friendly, he really makes you feel welcome. The inside of the building isnt anything fancy, but who really cares on your lunch break. Now for the food… Before I start, Im writing this review early morning a couple days after my visist. I already know what Im having for lunch :). The breads: jalapeño is my favorite. There is no real spicy kick, just great flavor. The gyro meat is awesome and moist, straight off the rotisserie. Finish it with tzatziki and veggie and youve got a freakin awesome sandwich. The fresh cookies are a huge deal too.

With all the choices for toppings and very high quality ingredients, Little Jimmy’s has every person’s best sandwich in Houston. Don’t miss the jalapeño bread, it’s the best sandwich bread I’ve ever had.

Taste-wise this place definitely deserves 4 stars, however because I found a strand of hair in my salad and a few pieces of my spring mix veggies were dark and rotting, I can’t give it 4 stars. Also I was charged an extra $ 1.50 for bread since I ordered a salad. Come on guys, a woman likes her carbs with her salad, why is it not included? Anyway, onto the food(what really matters) The good tasting meal definitely helped me overlook all these little nuances. Plus, being an Asian who frequently dines at Asian restaurants I think I’m a lot more forgiving about these things. Definitely had to get the gyro and jalapeño bread due to so many recommendations. I don’t normally like gyro or jalapenos, but both are good. The gyro by itself is very salty in my opinion, but inside a sandwich with warm fluffy pita bread, an assortment of veggies, fruits and nuts, and tzatziki sauce, it was a yummy combo. The jalapeño cheddar bread was good too, not too much jalapeño which was why I liked it. It tastes like a toasted Hawaiian burger bun with Jalapenos embedded. Pretty good! My husband loved it. My salad was decent. I was a bit disappointed as I ordered the roasted chicken as my protein, and out came thin slices of deli chicken meat(I was imagining chunks of rotisserie chicken), but the name is «Jimmy’s deli», so I guess nothing to complain there. I really liked how you can put as many toppings as you want in the salad/sandwich, and also that they had pears and strawberries and pecans and walnuts, which really added something extra to my salad. I would most likely come back, but maybe not during the lunch hours as this place was packed(and maybe why there was hair in the salad and some of the spring mix was not fresh) and parking is very difficult, but at least you leave happy because your food tasted good.

This little sandwich deli is the best! You get to choose whatever you want and mostly for no extra charge! I usually get the gyro, which is amazing! Add an egg to that?! Call me weird, but I love eggs. Sometimes I get the medium rare roast beef with the white bread and fried egg. Mhmmm. So yummy! The bread doesn’t even taste like normal bread, it tastes better! I’m glad I live so close to this place.

Cool little lunch spot with sandwich-bag ordering like Which Wich. Good ingredients, good sandwich. They even offer some locally baked breads. The only reason I don’t rate it higher is because Central Market’s sandwiches(which are just a few blocks away) are off the chain for $ 1 more. Bottom Line: I’ll be back for a convenient, yummy sandwich.

This is by far my all time favorite lunch place in Houston. The gyro on jalapeño bread or the gyro salad are my favs. I work nowhere near this place, and I still drive 15 mins there and back just to pick up lunch sometimes. SO worth it. Also, Jimmy is so awesome(I’m guessing he’s Jimmy since he’s always working in the front)! If you haven’t tried this place, GONOW! Oh, and don’t forget to get a pecan chocolate chip cookie! It’s worth breaking your diet for ;)

One of the best gyros I’ve had in Houston. Service was fast and friendly, meat was well cooked, tasty, and piping hot. The pita was superb. All the veggies were fresh, and the tzatziki was great. The Greek salad my girlfriend has was good, but not great — the chicken was amazing, but the dressing was mediocre. Maybe next time she’ll have a gyro salad or something of the like. This is definitely a little hole in the wall, and it shows — floors are in need of refinishing and it took awhile for tables to get cleared. That said, staff was very accommodating, food was delicious, and I’ll be be back next time I was down here. 5 star food, 3 star ambiance — a solid 4 in my book.

This use to be my go-to during lunch, but one humiliating experience and I’m over it. The variety in the salad and sandwich options is plentiful and delicious, so I decided to plan an office lunch with Little Jimmy’s Deli. I went over to ask if that was a feasible option thinking the 20 employees in my office could fill out their own paper bags and then I could just drop them off well before the lunch and support the local business. This was NOT how it was received. The owner(«Little Jimmy») was flabbergasted by the very thought of me bringing him 20 lunch clients and acted like I was the most unreasonable person he had ever encountered. Interesting business model to say the least. Moral of the story, not very appreciative of business and easily overwhelmed. So, definitely avoid the lunch rush.

Hands-down one of my favorite places in Houston. This is a gem that goes overlooked — Located in the strip on Richmond, it looks like a so-so lunch place, but it is SO much more than that. I haven’t disliked anything here, and I’ve been in love with everything I’ve ordered. I usually get a gyro sandwich on jalapeño bread, but I’ve also had their gyro on pita, turkey sandwich, and their pancakes. Everything is AMAZING. Prices are great, and portions are perfect. …But their chocolate chip cookies… those are heavenly. I have to get one everytime I go. They are freshly baked, warm, and the perfect consistency! I seriously drool just thinking about these, and they’ve set the standards very high for all other chocolate chip cookies in the world. I constantly find myself saying«Little Jimmy’s Cookies are better». The owner is very nice and knows many of his customers’ orders off the top of his head — I love coming here for lunch, but I usually try to come slightly later to avoid the Greenway Plaza Crowd! If you haven’t been, GO! You’ll love it and will become a frequent Little Jimmy’s go-er like myself.

Yummmmmmmmm! Had the gyro with normal gyro goodies. Very tasty. Very generous with your chosen toppings. Ordering is similar to which wich — grab a paper bag and check your order selections. Even at lunch, my food was received quickly. The chocolate chip pecan cookie was amazeballs.

I like this place. The ingredients were of high quality and all very fresh. I had never been before and the cashier/manager told me that all the toppings were unlimited and I could get them on the side. So instead of my basic sandwich I added several more toppings. Thanks to him my sandwich was perfect! Next time I will try a cookie along with my sandwich.

I’ve had Little Jimmy’s bookmarked for a long time because of the awesome reviews, but the bf and I were always doubtful. They’re just sandwiches right??? How good can they be? Boy, were we wrong… Two things: gyro & jalapeño bread. You can’t go wrong with these two. They’re very generous with the gyro meat so the pita sandwich ends up being huge and satisfying. Even though the pita bread is store bought, because they toast it, it gets a bit crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside so it’s delicious. I don’t like jalapenos, so I was doubtful about the jalapeño bread even though it comes highly recommended, but I’m so glad we got it. After being toasted, it had a crunchy bite but was super soft like a cloud on the inside. We paired it with the chicken salad and it was awesome. It’s also really cool that you can add as many toppings as you want on your sandwich, with no extra charge(including avocado!). The bf ended up adding a bunch of random stuff to his(pecans? strawberries?), haha… I can’t wait till the next time I come here! Little Jimmy’s after a Costco run sounds like the best day ever.
