Absolutely amazing! If you have a passion for Peruvian food, you won’t be disappointed. Everything we had was on point. The alfajores were a little hard tho but everything else was very good! We will be back!

Went in for Mother’s day brunch and was extremely disappointed. We got two hairs in our appetizer which the manager apologized about and kindly remade. Our waiter forgot my drink order twice and did not make our food with the right sides. The food was nice but overall a poor experience.

This Peruvian food restaurant is really good; nice welcome, cosy environment and very friendly treatment. The food was as expected, no surprises and Peruvian flavor. We enjoyed: familiar ceviche, Lomo salteado, aeropuerto and risotto, all of them out of this world. At the end, be prepared for the deserts: 3 leches and something amazing in US: chocolate cake with«guanabana». If you love Peruvian food, no way this is the place.

This is so far the best Peruvian food I’ve eaten in Houston. The food was top notch and prepared correctly. We showed up late but were still welcomed and seated. Not to discredit other reviews but there may be some misunderstanding about the presentation /preparation of the dishes. Ají de gallina does not have peanuts. And yes, many dishes come with salsa criolla, onions cooked in lime. I really enjoyed my dinner and have no complaints. The prices match any other restaurant in the general area, so no surprise there. My pisco sour was awesome, to boot!

Definitely a great find for lunch. Not crowded but I suspect this will change as word gets out that they’re open for lunch Service was excellent. Cuisine is creative, and beautifully presented. Background, while a little loud is definitely Latin. Try it you’ll like it.

Had such a great valentines here! I work right next door at the spa and have never tried them. Only place I found that had open availability for that day. The waiters are very sweet and helpful about the menu. When they bring out the food, they tell you about it, how it’s made, what’s in it, ect. We had the valentines special menu so it was three courses. Fantastic all of them! And for an extra $ 15, they bring out a different type of wine for every course that best fits the taste of the food. Fabulous! The presentation of the food was gorgeous! Great job!

We ate a lot. The 5 of us sample many apps, entrees, and drinks. While all the food was great what really stood out was the service. Friendly and knowledgeable. We started at the bar for apps then moved to a table for entrees. Both the bartender and server we so helpful in navigating the menu. It was nice to have such great service from beginning to end.

Best Peruvian ceviche in town! They serve potato chips as appetizer. Waiting time is not so long, around 15−20minutes taking on account that they are preparing everything fresh at the moment.

Really interesting menu, great Pisco sour, fun, electric vibe. We had the Causita, beautiful plate and unusual combo of foods that worked together surprisingly well. Also enjoyed the Kobe tacos and Tequenos-deelish. Loved the Lomo Saltado-beef was very tender. And the Golden Papparedelle was devoured. We only had room for one dessert between the 4 of us and had the Alfahores. Outstanding delicate sugar cookies with dulce de leche sandwiched between with a side of caramel ice cream-fabulous! Our only complaint was the location of our table in the middle of the room next to the busy bar and waitstaff route to and from the kitchen. Would most definitely return!

we came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday, it was probably a party of 10 people. Place — it was really modern and modest, the restrooms were clean. One thing I did not like is that the full size mirror was right in front of the door, which is very inconveniently placed because if you’re trying to see your outfit you have to stand in front of the door and might get pushed into the wall whenever they open it. Service — our party wouldn’t get seated right away because not everyone was there. Not even when we had 7 people there they sat us… So you have 7 people just standing there waiting to be seated… Of course, when we finally get seated our we put in our orders for the drinks. We receive the water and everyone gets their drink except for me. I like 10 minutes later I grab the waiter’s attention and tell him I didn’t receive my drink. After waiting for another 10 minutes, I remind him about my drink, he apologized and brought it to the table AFTER we have received our food… And it was the wrong drink!!! I try to get his attention agai. And tell him about the drink and he finally comes and gives it to me… Talk about a pain in the butt. Food — overpriced for the amount of food and honestly I’ve had better Peruvian-American food with cheaper prices and a closer location to me. Honestly, don’t think I’ll be coming back here again. On the positive side… Valet parking is free and the guy went above and beyond

I did not know what to expect from the restaurant before arriving because«Latin» can define a variety of food. It turned out to be Peruvian food. My fiancée and I were pleasantly surprised by the food and the service. We ordered the Market Ceviche, Kobe Tacos, Antichuchos and Calamari. I think my two favorite were there Kobe Tacos and the Ceviche. We also ordered drinks — Michelada which I found to be great because it wasn’t too spicy. It was perfect. In addition we tried the passion fruit mimosas. Our waiter continuously checked on us, gave us suggestions and even described how some of the dishes were made. Great customer service. Needless to say we will continue to patron the restaurant! Yummy!

Went for an early dinner in June 2015 and had an enjoyable time. The food was true Peruvian food and the atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a small group. The staff was attentive and knew what to recommend without going for the obvious. The drinks were also complemented well with our selections and certainly a place for future visits!

I debated between a four and five for this rating, but service bumped it up to a five. I’ve been here twice now, most recently to celebrate my in-laws’ anniversary, and our waiter plus at least one other staff that checked on us made sure to congratulate them. Also, our waiter was very attentive, had great recommendations, and our water glasses were never even close to emtpy. We sampled and enjoyed: Drinks — Pisco Sour — they are known for this cocktail, tastes somewhat like a margarita in that it has citrus juice in it. I would recommend trying this if you are getting a cocktail — Ginger Mint Chilcano — I would also recommend this cocktail, can’t decide if I liked it better than the pisco sour or not Cold Bites — Garden Stuffed Avocado — good but not my favorite of the dishes that we tried Hot Bites — Empanadas — also good — Kobe Tacos — really cute, miniature tacos, good flavor — Tequenos(Venezuelan style cheesesticks) — cheese, yum!, plus these were also on the house, in honor of my in-laws’ anniversary Cebiches & Tiraditos — Fisherman Cebiche — I tried a few other cebiches when I came the first time but I can’t remember which ones, and I really enjoyed them. As a cebiche fan, I recommend trying at least one cebiche. Specialties — Lomo Saltado(beef tenderloin sauté with onions and tomatoes in a rich Asian sauce with home fries and white rice) — the beef was very flavorful, would highly recommend this dish, probably my favorite of all the things we tried Dessert — Lucuma Tiramisu — served with coffee gelato — Chocolate and Hazelnut Custard — rich and chocolatey — Algarrobina Flan(a South American style carob tree syrup custard) — recommended by our waiter

Stopped by on a whim, as my wife began a new job just around the corner. We got there in time for happy hour. I ordered a signature cocktail(blueberry something) which was good. Wife ordered a glass of California cab, but they couldn’t find it. Waiter suggested a Chilean wine without any details. She said fine and let him pick one. Big mistake! The cab(know nothing about it except it was Chilean; didn’t see the bottle) was not very good. We ordered two appetizers: empanadas and scallops au gratin. The empanadas were bland, mostly crust, and we could barely taste the scallops(very tiny) because of the cheese, and probably because the scallops were simply poor quality. We chose not to order an entrée. Back to the wine. It was happy hour. The menu said wine was $ 5 during happy hour. My wife ordered a glass from the wine menu thinking it would cost $ 5, because that’s what the menu said. We were charged $ 11 for this bad cab, because the one ordered couldn’t be found, and because only certain wines are apparently part of the $ 5 happy hour. We learned this after the fact. The waiter should have told us this when ordering. Had he done so, she would have ordered a ½ price cocktail instead. Additionally, all bottles of wine that day(Wednesdays) were 50% off. Thus, had we known we were going to be charged a full price of $ 11 for a glass of wine, we would have bought a bottle for $ 25(one we actually ordered and they had). Seems to me the waiter, or the manager, should have charged us $ 5.50 for the glass and apologized for the misunderstanding. Because it was only $ 5.50, we didn’t push the issue; however, the poor service and response to our query, not to mention the disappointing food, will keep us from coming back.

Thanks to Unilocal for helping me stumble into this place. Was looking for some good Ceviche, and Latin bites was listed for its best ceviche in town. It sure was one of the best I have had. Nice ambiance, amazing food, and great company makes up for a great dinner at Latin Bites. Definitely would go back.

Went here during Restaurant week. I had trepidations since several friends gave mixed reviews. I think part of that is some people expect this to be more Mexican when much of what I had was more South American, which I like. I think some of the other mixed reviews depend on the menu items chosen. It appears that some items are fantastic and others leave people wanting more flavor than what they got. It is a pricey place, so go when you want to celebrate at a nicer location — it’s about what you’d pay for a steak dinner. I got a crab and avocado stack as an appetizer, the risotto for the main course, and their chocolate passion fruit brownie thing for dessert. A friend got their passion fruit infused ceviche(a version of their Trio Tiradito) and loved it but didn’t like her main course which was simple chicken and potatoes with a bland green sauce. She wished for more seasoning on everything and was hoping that the green sauce would have a strong punch, which was lacking. She also really liked her carob flan, which isn’t my thing, so I’m glad she liked it. As for me their signature appetizer Causitas(the crab, potato, avocado stack) was sincerely A-1 in flavor. The Andean Risotto was definitely another signature dish, it was flavorful and full of vegetables — creamy without being stringy or too mushy. The beef on top was perfectly seasoned to match the risotto cream sauce. The HRW passion fruit chocolate cake was really more like a brownie and rich enough that I couldn’t finish it — but the floral notes in it were definitely welcome over something heavy and sugary. We liked their specialty drinks as well. I highly recommend trying my two choices — they are worth it. As for the ambiance, it’s a place I recommend dressing up a little. The tables are extremely close together, so please leave your oversized SUV baby stroller in the car please. Parking can be a bit of a bear if you’re looking at high traffic times, and getting in and out can be a pain since it’s on the corner of Woodway and Chimney Rock.

Went for«brunch» on Sunday around 11:30am. Pretty much zero people there. I’m vegetarian and ordered the cachapas – which was pretty good. If you’re unfamiliar with cachapas, its a Venezuelan corn pancake filled with cheese. More filling than you think, but I really wish it came with a side of veggies – or some of the delish salsa crillola. Things we liked: *Shaded, outdoor patio *Nicely sized portions *Salsa criolla(OMGSOGOOD) *Mimosas bc #brunch Things we didn’t: *Slow-ish service *Lack of vegetarian options *Hunk of butter/lack of veggies served with the arepa

This is my second time visiting Latin bites over the span of a year or so. I was so excited to see the chef win a #culturemap award last year for best chef! Today I visited for lunch as was a little«underwhelmed» by what I tasted. The service AMAZING, Victoria is a great host and as we are thinking about using this space as a venue for one of our events she was knowledgeable about what LB had to offer. We tasted a couple items to day to get a feel for the Peruvian flare some things were ok and some were great. Believe it or not the sauces were tastier and more flavorful than some of the menu items we ordered. FOOD The Roasted chicken salad sandwich was bland, nothing special about it. The Marketplace ceviche was very good and the mashed sweet potato with ginger were incredible. The Calamari was good & fresh but I couldn’t put my finger on the flavor profile of the sauce. Was it tartar sauce, mayo based, sour cream. what? The Brussels and Asparagus were good. I know they are sides but seriously Ambrosia gives you a whole bowl of Brussels LB gave us maybe 7 sprouts and 4 asparagus cut into pieces. The soup of the day was sweet onion and it was the PARKING Dumb Dumb Dumb. there are too many business in this tiny shopping center, and all of the spaces are named for the other businesses. If you come around lunch just be prepared to search for a space. I parking in the back along the curb near the wooden fence. I hated that I could have the *Pisco, as it is totally yummy and they cook with it. I will certainly be back. * Pisco is a colorless or yellowish-to-amber colored grape brandy produced in winemaking regions of Chile and Peru.

I have not had Peruvian food since being in Peru. On our trip to Houston to visit family, my one food requirement was Peruvian. My cousin who is from Peru raves about Latin Bites. The menu has recently undergone a transformation to reflect more South American cuisines other than Peruvian. It was also explained to us that the dishes were smaller with a smaller price too. And the dishes would come out when they were ready versus being all at the same time. The food was outstanding. All told we ordered six appetizers(the short rib we ordered AFTER we ate dessert when the waitress mentioned how good it was), three mains, all the sorbets and a chocolate hazelnut flan. While the food reminded me of Peru, it wasn’t exactly what I had overseas but rather it’s own unique brand of delicious.
