First and foremost, let me say that the grocery store section of Kroger is wonderful and gets 5 stars from me. My issue is with the pharmacy. My boyfriend had been running a fever for 3 days so we took him to the ER this morning, got him a prescription and took it to Kroger. The man who«helped» us informed us the doctor’s name was not on it and he’d have to call before he could fill it. This was 9:15. He said we could pick it up at 11. When we retuned at 11 almost on the dot, we were informed he could not get ahold of anyone and that the hospital wasn’t answering their phone. I’d had an odd feeling earlier and I had a feeling then that he was dicking us around, so I got the slip back and called the number myself. They answered on the second ring. I’ve got a feeling he didn’t even call. That and he seemed very put off by us the entire time when we were nothing but nice. We took it to the Walgreens in the same parking lot where they got ahold of the doctor immediately, filled the meds within 10 minutes, and the price was $ 13 cheaper than what the guy at Kroger said it would be. The man was African American, bald, had an accent and glasses, but I don’t remember his name. Go to the Walgreens instead.

I’ve been using this pharmacy for years and will continue to do so. The main pharmacist is always really helpful; she takes the time to explain everything to you about your medication and answer any questions you may have. It’s nice to be able to ask your pharmacist questions and feel like they are knowledgeable. The only issues I’ve ever had with this location is going through the drive-thru sometimes takes a while because they either can’t see you, or they are being very thorough with the customers that they have inside, and you can’t really blame them for the latter.
