I love the food truck scene in Houston. There are lots of great trucks who take pride in the food they create. Kata Wit’ Flava, however, is an unfortunate aberration in an otherwise great lineup of mobile food trucks. I knew I had made a mistake when I noticed the gallon size tub of «bbq beef» inside the truck. This looked like something purchased from Sams Club and now is being sold to us as a chopped beef sandwich. To be honest, the quality of this sandwich was close to what I would expect from a charity food kitchen, but instead I was charged $ 7.50 for this inedible sloppy joe. Also, the generator is terribly placed right next to the order window. Be advised. Skip this truck. Instead try any of the other great food trucks available in the area — Coreanos, Ladybird, Stick It, PiPizza, Htownstreats, etc. Kata, if you want to have any hope of gaining respect and surviving in a market that values quality food, perhaps try actually cooking your own food. Texas knows BBQ, and what you are serving is an insult to the Houston food industry.
