terrible service. never explain everything clearly before charging. extremely cheap on the alcohol for the price they charge. letting customers smoke inside of the lobby/rooms are another minus from me since I hate the smell of the smoke. plus isn’t it illegal to smoke inside of the building in Houston to begin with? anyway, their foods and sound quality are decent but I still won’t go back again due to the smoke and bad service.

First time we came w 3 people 3 beers and ordered one dish$ 10. Bill was almost $ 50! Because there was a minimum charge and no one told us about it. Second time, we came in a group. The same two servers double charge us a $ 60 dollar lobster dish. Luckily we caught it before we paid. Either the staffs here have ZERO integrity or they simply tried to ripped us off. Not worth coming back at all.

Clean. Nice décor. Brought my Americanized Chinese friends(they usually frequent Genji’s) here and they enjoyed themselves. We didn’t reserve a room but took up a table in their common area AKA public karaōke. We just had to spend $ 15 min. per person for the whole night — easy. We were there from 10PM until 1AM. My friend’s only complaint was their English song selection was limited. Their sound system was also a little off. Their food is good. A variety of choices but a little on the pricier side — compared to Genji’s anyways.

To be honest, any KTV with a nice sound system and mic gets pretty much four stars from me no matter how expensive or crappy the foods or drinks are — I come to sing, not eat. Great mics :)

Typical shady asian business(and I am asian). They will over charge you as previous posters have noted. They charged me $ 47.98 for 2 thai teas(around 2 ounces of liquid the rest was all ice) and a mixed drink(also 2 ounces of liquid full to the top with ice). I made several phone calls to the management and they refused to refund the charges which is why I will now be refuting charges with the credit card company. Apparently, they do not inform you of the minimum $ 15 per person even if you do not drink anything. Just a typical shady asian business. Karaōke sucks, machines are not user friendly unless you are fluent in Chinese, sound quality is awful and it was dead on a Saturday night, so I guess this is why they would have to rip off their customers in order to generate their revenue. I wouldnt wish it upon anyone to accidently stumble into this place thinking it is a nice place to do karaōke.

My family came here and had quite a good time singing karaōke. There were about 30 members of my family there and we just kept continually ordering from them based on whether more people wanted to eat. The food was really greasy and not that great so we didn’t end up eating as much as we potentially could. When we were karaoked out– we decided to just fill up at another restaurant. My uncle asked for the check and the manager rudely told us that there was a minimum of $ 15 per person. It would have been alright if we had been told of this policy before but there was no way that we could eat that much more food [and we didn’t want to eat any more]. Their entrees were about $ 8 each so that would have meant that every person eat 2 dishes – that’s outrageous. Eventually my uncle negotiated with them and they did not make us order more. Overall, the experience was horrible and I do not recommend this place. Food: 2 Value: 0 Service: 0 Overall: 1

came here last night around midnight with my bf to meet my sister & her co-workers. the place was pretty empty for a friday night, but you could tell that the private rooms were mostly all taken.(we sat at the common area with the stage) the karaōke songs engine was in chinese, i can read it so it wasn’t a problem for me. i know they have english songs but it was limited.(my sister & i tried to search for ‘a whole new world’) the wait staff was attentive and our drinks were refilled frequently. if you needed anything, just ask. as simple as that. the place was well put together with cool interior decorations and big flat screens. there was a bar and darts area for entertainment. overall, it was a fun night for us as we were the only table singing and taking over the stage, so there wasn’t much waiting for our songs. i’d go back again. p.s smoking ALLOWED inside.

Ok I found this place by accident, and it’s a great establishment. The wait staff were all very friendly, and the beef/flat noodle dish I had was awesome. I like the atmosphere, and definitely need to check it out in the evening sometime with some friends. They have karaōke rooms, a dance floor, full bar(naturally), and of course food. :).

OK. that rating was kind. My friends are unhappy with their drinks. They all said they were watered down. I was unhappy with my tea, because since I do not see a price list: I am probably paying gobs for tea that came from a tea bag most likely purchased from Sam’s Club. *it was $ 3* Service was good. They are attentive. WARNING: CHINESESEARCHENGINE You will either A: just deal with it or B: ask them to put it in English. Rooms are $ 50 minimum to start. High *we go karaōke at various places* but you get two dishes of satay– a beef and a chicken. Complimentary with the room. *nvm it was charged as $ 6 for the chicken and $ 7? for the beef* **automatically charged when you get your room** My tea was served in one of those ceramic cups with the cover, so I was happy with presentation until I saw the tea bag. In the rooms there are small lists of special drinks, range is 3.5−7.5 There is a main room, I do not know if there is a drink minimum or what. The website is not yet up, but printed on the card. It’s pricey for what it is, the upside is the song selection. Compared to other Ktv joints with the Chinese based search engine I have to say the selection was better. Sometimes though, the music video messes up the track like Kiss’ Because I’m A Girl~ the monologue wasn’t played at the right time and where it should have been silent they played the chorus– it messed up the timing. The video they play for Usher’s What’s Your Name is his performance during the Victoria’s show 2011~ then it goes to Yeah! so… yea But there is no Justin Timberlake, Roberta Flack. Example: they were listed BUT there were no songs listed. ??? Yea, my thoughts exactly. Another upside: wi-fi :) Interesting: A dining area… Didn’t ask, but it’s there. The big circular tables~ you know what I’m talking about. They also carried *I’m almost positive* East Ocean Restaurant menus. So maybe they are owned by the same people
