This is the best discount card shop in Houston. They have a large selection of cards for all occasions at 50% off. In addition to cards, there are loads of specialty gifts items too. If you have the time, take a few moments to simply browse around. It’s definitely worth the time. On the other side of the shop is a kids’ toy store. On this day, there were lots of little ones enjoying the stuffed animals, books, and gadgets. I don’t think children are allowed without an adult. So, don’t count on leaving little ones unattended while you shop. Whether you are hunting for a unique gift or a greeting card, this is the place for you.

I love this toy store, they have a variety of toys for kids every age. They also have free gift wrapping also. The only downside is that they are expensive. The store is also attached to a card store which is pretty convenient when you need to get a gift on the go.

I like that this store is not too far from my place but I think it is a little on the expensive side. My son recently became interested in trains and he seems to love the table with all the tracks. Since it grasped his attention longer than most toys, I’m likely up come back to browse around some more and let him check out the trains again. On another occasion he was sized for baby shoes here which was helpful. Update: I can’t go to this store anymore because each time I go with my son and try to leave before he has a fit, a staff person seems to strategically stop me to ask if I need help. I’m literally a foot from the exit when I am stopped each time. This is too annoying of a behavior to contend with for me to return with my son in tow. I dont have to mention to those who know that once I’m stopped from exiting while I’m carrying my heavy toddler out, he inevitably jumps down to look at more stuff. There is no leaving this store without a major headache. Mommies beware. I’m sad because its a fun place but this practice by the staff just drives me too crazy to go there in the near future.

Sunday staff terribly RUDE, appears to hate their job and can’t wait to leave. Walked in at 4:50 to quickly buy about $ 400 worth of Jon Hart(knew exactly what I was getting) and was told I had 5 minutes(all in a terribly rude voice). When I said I had 4:50 by my watch he said he didn’t care, they were closing in less than 5 minutes and that was that. Don’t know who owns the place but as a retail owner myself he’d be GONE!

Toys galore! As far as unique toys go, they have a pretty good variety. I’d give it 4 stars but I thought they were expensive. I came here after finding it on Unilocal to buy a gift for my niece’s birthday. I wanted something not just run of the mill and did find some cool stuff but their prices were definitely high. They had a lot of things there that I own for my daughter that I’ve bought online and I don’t remember paying anywhere close to what their retail price was. Anyway, I had no idea it was also close to a pretty affluent part of Houston so I wasn’t surprised after I found out. Brought my DD here as well and she loved it. I was also able to find nice gifts so I guess I can’t complain too much … just beware the markups are pretty high but the service was good and they did have unique gifts to get kiddos.

This location is lucky I despise chain commercialized toy stores. Please don’t get be started on Walmart and Toys R Us. I’ll just get this out of the way. Prior to the Woodway & Voss location opening, this was the location we frequented. Their was always something about this place that seemed off with a few of the people that work here. It seemed to me like the only one willing to help is the hispanic gentleman in the shoe department. I’m not going to say race and location places a factor, but it is pretty damn close. I will say this. My family hasn’t run into this problem at the Woodway location. Now on to the review. This place can keep a child occupied for hours. Son finds something new everytime we go in. Usually for his shoes, but he always walks out with a toy every single time. Thankful they expanded the location. Last location was too cramped. I was always afraid I would trip over some child or knock something big over. Usually I did. I shop at all the little local stores for kids clothes and shoes. Imagination Toys is near the top with a good selection and competively priced. They do offer a discount after you have purchased so many pairs of shoes. This is why we go her first for shoes. I will more then likely visit. Unless I get pulled over by the Southside Place PD. If that were to ever happen, Woodway it is.

A little gem in Bellaire. Great value and really unique toys. Similar collection as in Purple Mango @ Rice blvd. but better priced. Very helpful staff. I used to hate going to look for toys in ToyStore/Target, but now it is so much more fun.

If you have a toddler, this is a wonderful store for both toys and shoes, which it also sells. This is a much friendlier environment than a Toys R US store, with plenty of great toys for infants, toddlers, and older kids. Whenever I take my toddler to buy shoes here, I let him loose in the store afterwards, where he happily plays for an additional half-hour to hour. He loves to play at the Thomas the Train train table, the remote control toys, or the play kitchen. The staff are very friendly, and they will wrap birthday gifts for free. They also have a frequent buyer’s program. Some of their toys are more expensive than at other stores, but not most of them. Also, if you tell the emloyees that your concerned about cost on shoes, they’ll steer you towards the less expensive brands.
