I have ordered from this place several times since I live in the area. I’m had some great experiences, and not so great ones… but the delivery is very quick and the HOT food is good. I have had the phở and it was okay. But DONT GET THE SUSHI!!! They charge top notch prices but the sushi literally was worse than the cheap sushi you get at the grocery store — I was livid when I got my sushi order bc I got a few rolls and paid for delivery… about $ 70 total to feed my family and everyone — even the children couldn’t say anything good about the sushi. It wasn’t even rolled tightly, every piece fell apart.

We get take out from here all time. I am a fan of their veggie shrimp with asparagus. If you eat this, your pee will smell funny (asparagus). The shrimp actually tastes fishy like real seafood even though it is some sort of soy protein product. They have a large selection of vegetarian dishes.
One time I went in to pick up and order and I saw a 3 foot stature of a Chinese elder standing next to the register. And… he was wearing reading glasses. I thought it was so funny that I had to take a picture.

We order Hu’s for take out about once a month and we’re always satisfied. The worst thing that ever happened is they forgot a sauce. Not the end of the world. They’re always quicker than they say with delivery and the food is reasonably priced.

Decent place for Chinese food. I have ordered several times. I would not recommend the Vietnamese dishes at all. They should stick to Chinese. I was very disappointed with my vermicelli dish n the Vietnamese eggrolls. Other than that, I will be back for more Chinese except for the almond chicken which had minced pieces of chicken that I could barely see.

Let me start by saying that if I could rate this Chinese food place 0 stars I would.
my family and I came in town to visit other family that lives in Houston. we heard good things about this place. we got a to go order and ordered over $ 100 of food at this place.
All of us but 2 got sick, including my pregnant wife. 5 people total. all 5 of them were sick by 2 am with food poisoning. I am furious this got my pregnant wife sick.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!

Horrible restaurant ever !!! First time coming to Texas for the Live stock show & I decided I want food to be delivered to my hotel room .
Horrible experience :
1. It cost to much, I lived in NJ & I ordered 6 things worth the $ 30 dollars I spend here 4 things for $ 30.00.
2. I told them I’m in a hotel room to please send utensils they are so cheap they didn’t even send forks or anything to eat with.
3. I called the restaurant again & asked the guy from the restaurant to send me some forks & he said you are in a hotel, they must have something.

I eat Chinese often, once a week at minimum, and this place has been among the best, consistently, for years now. Shrimp and lobster sauce and pepper beef are our go-​tos, and they’re wonderful. The appetizers — egg roll, shrimp toast — are very, very good. Egg drop soup among the best I have ever had, and same for the combo fried rice. I have always found the service at sit-​down just fine, and the delivery fast, efficient, and never missing a thing. I ate at this place when it’s was Fu’s and had a Rice Village location, I’ve had all the Asian food in the area — Happy Lamp, Jimmy Wok, and a dozen in-​between — and Hu’s is all around best.

I simply cannot believe these reviews. I ordered the lo mein, sweet and sour chicken and chicken and broccoli. Each of one these meals was probably the worst «food» I have ever eaten. The chicken had absolutely zero flavor and the broccoli was an overcooked mess. The lo mein was greasy and over salted and I cannot even mention the horrible mess that was the shrimp. All of the food was thrown out.

**Update** I made a terrible mistake. I did not get sick from this restaurant, I got sick from a stomach bug. I was way to reactionary when I posted this review. I am sorry for anyone I dissuaded from eating here.
I ordered the General Tso chicken and Szechuan Shrimp from here last night. I woke up with extreme vomiting, fever, and chills. The food tasted ok when I ate it, but clearly I got food poisoning. I’m going to follow up with the Health Dept today.

My girl friend and I went Hu’s Garden at noon with the Groupon we bought ($ 25 Value for Four People). When we showed then the Groupon, the waiter told us we cannot use it because we have to be four people and order at least two Entrees. I said this requirement does not show on the term. But the waiter told they just changed the policy so you just cannot use it. This is really irritating and does not make any sense. That’s it? No, not really. When I told them that we will just cancel the Groupon and about to leave. To my surprise, the waiter talked to another waiter in Chinese, these two SB (In English: these two Morons). I think the waiter did not expect we can speak Chinese and I almost have a fight with him. Anyway, if you go there, they may also curse you with dirty languages. BTW, just FYI, it is about 12pm when we were there and there were only 2 – 3 tables filled in.

This is the best place to go, I have been coming here for the past 10 years, and it has NEVER let me down. The staff is friendly, and the surroundings are peaceful. My favorite food (s) is the Orange chicken, egg drop soup, and the pork pan fried dumplings, definitely coming again veeeery soon

I order here sometimes, mainly because the are around the block and they can whip up a good variety of dishes. However, I will say there food is not very authentic compared to some other places I’ve had in china town. There dishes are mainly sweet tasting, which I don’t like. Overall very nice service and pleasant delivery drivers.

Even though the food is decent. It’s the time it takes to get delivered is why I give 2 stars. This is the third time it’s been over an hour to get the delivery. It’s a Wednesday night and ordered food at 8 pm and now after 9:25 it still isn’t here. Fyi pick another place for delivery!!!

I’ve always had a bad idea of Chinese takeout. This company changed my mind. The lady on the phone was very helpful and patient. The food arrived in s timely manner. I was also really surprised with the freshness of the spring rolls. Not the best I’ve had in town, but still very good. I ordered the Vegetable meal. It was very delicious. Only downside is if you are ordering for yourself, it’s a $ 15 minimum for delivery, and that’s a lot of food! Otherwise very happy!

Was very disappointed with the Peking Duck. In the menu it shows in the picture that it comes with steam buns but instead they served it with TORTILLA ??? The Duck was very dry.

Picked up ordered pork and veggie dumplings as well as egg drop soup and hot and sour. The dumplings were the best. The pork was just right still moist and full of flavor. Both soups had great flavor. The veggie dumplings were the best! All for 15 bucks!

This visit is attributed to one of those times I felt adventurous and wanted sushi. Unfortunately I found out after leaving only to be called back and informed that there is no sushi chef and that it would be almost an hour for fresh sushi.
As much as I appreciated the communication and honesty, that really didn’t help my situation. In order to make the process easier, since the meal was already charged to my card, I had staff adjust my bill for General Tso’s lunch special.
Nothing special about the combo. In fact the place across the street from me does it better. I tried to make a disappointing lunch break as manageable as possible.
My advice to anyone is if you want to try their sushi call ahead to see if they have a chef on staff before making the trip.
