Love this shop. It’s small but they carry a lot of tools for cheap. They have sales every now and then and best of all you can’t beat the conscience of where it’s located. Although it has Home Depot in the neighborhood, each time I have visited it had a pretty amount of shoppers inside. You also have the option of ordering online.

This place is tricky. Make sure you ask all the questions. Their return policy is not clear to the customer’s. And when you try to ask where something is given they have nothing to say.

04-19-2013 I went in here to purchase a truck dolly. I got a great deal on a big foor. I can roll all my DJ equipment to all my gigs. This place has all kinds of goodies. I am a big fan of Craftsman products but when my pocket book needs a break I hit this place up. It’s a mans toy store.

Harbor Freight Tools sort of feels like the Wally World for tools. It is lots and lots of tools at low prices, but not necessarily the highest quality or the biggest name brands. Is this necessarily a bad thing? No, not really. If you are doing wood working or car work as a hobby or just starting out, their tools are reasonably priced and have decent warranties. This lets you build. I mean you can get a decently sized air compressor for fewer than 100 bucks. Power hand tools are inexpensive; hand tools are really cheap. Have you seen ads for the brands on the DIY Network; probably not. But do you need to pay 30 to 40 bucks or more for basically the same tool? No. Not if you come to Harbor Freight. Also, Harbor Freight has aisles and aisles of tools and thingamajigs that make it a fun place just to wander around. Need a set of fine diamond files for doing incredibly detailed work? The have ‘em. Need some band clamps to help you build mend those drawers? They have ‘em. Need a magnetic doohickey to pick up nails? They have ‘em. They even have an aisle with kitchen type stuff on it. No telling what you will find if you peruse the aisles. This location is busy, but easy to get to. Because of the feeder traffic, getting out can be challenging, or exciting. Inside the store, it looks like a place aimed at guys. It’s well lit, but cluttered and kind of dusty. Just like your dad’s garage. But, it is chock full of nifty stuff, so I won’t complain. The ladies room was really clean, so that was a plus for me when visiting. I like a place that keeps the Necessary Room neat. The ladies at this location’s check out are nice and friendly. They will lend you a hand and even put the screws down on the warehouse guys if they are taking too long to pull the large item you just purchased. The whole experience would be pretty basic, if it weren’t for these gals. They make the experience 4 star worth. If you need some tools at a good price, this is the place to go.
