Just had dinner at Grace’s as part of a group of five couples. The food was good, but the service was terrible. Just to get a refill of water I had to visit the wait station and pour it myself. Since a large group gratuity was included, the server had no incentive to provide an acceptable level of service. Grace’s is not a place I will recommend.

Very good atmosphere and great service and an awesome place for brunch. I had the hamburger and it was one of the best I have had in Houston.

SOIMPRESSED with Grace’s! I’d heard about this place for a while now, but just never went over to try it. My brother was in town and we were looking for fulfilling brunch/lunch menu so we decided to try this out. We got there around 2 on a Saturday, and there was a wait. I wasn’t mad at all because I thought dang this place must be good! It didn’t take long at all to seat us. My brother got the Southern Fried Pork Chop, my boyfriend got the South Texas Fried Quail, and I got the Waffles & Wings off the Brunch menu. Each of our meals were SOGOOD! No it’s not the best Fried Chicken and Waffles I’ve ever had but it was still very good. I had a taste of their sides and they were awesome as well! There were only empty plates when we were done! It was a bit pricey for a casual Saturday brunch, but definitely worth trying regardless. The atmosphere was cute also! I’ll be back!

OMG! I love this place. My boyfriend and I went for the first time yesterday. The food was awesome, and the service just as great! I had the chicken, it came with 2 sides(creamy mashed&asparagus) The asparagus size was great, they were very big. My honey had some creole stuffed chicken, the canal mac &cheese, and asparagus! Let me get started on this canal mac and cheese, as it was the highlight of the night. I’ve never been to a place where everything was good. I kept bragging to all my friends about this place. Also their drinks are very fairly priced, I had a margarita and paid $ 9. It was pretty strong, so all I needed was 1. I know for sure I will be back here!!! If youre thinking of this place, JUSTGO! You’ll see what I mean. I want to try their brunch menu soon. PS: I never finish my food, I usually always have a to go box lol but the fact that my plate was cleaned, with the exception of a small bite of chicken speaks volumes. My boyfriend even noticed I had finished it all lol

Great service with plenty of garage parking for the trio of Carrabba’s restaurants at this corner. The seafood gumbo was spicy, rich, and fresh.(highly recommended)($ 12) The stuffed poblano pepper with shrimp was hearty and filling.($ 23) The special pecan crusted red snapper and corn side was easily one of the best I have tasted in months.($ 35) The crowd is older and whiter than you would have expected but it did not depart from the excellent meal.

First, this is not a $$ restaurant, more like $$$+. $ 17 – 32 entrée is not inexpensive diner food. It’s is a comfortable, up-scale dining experience that you will pay for. Tonight, the tuna tower was divine. The chicken stuffed with dressing, yams and green beans was super salty and the taste of the food was masked by the salt. The the couple at the table behind is actually had that same converting the we did. Luckily, their tea is fab! Service was excellent.

I went to Lakewood Church on a Sunday and I knew I was pretty close to this restaurant. I always wanted to try Grace’s. I personally never heard anybody talk or rave about but I would see it whenever I was in the area(Upper Kirby area). First off, there’s a valet service that’s offered, a parking garage or street parking. Secondly, the restaurant is nice and upscale and roomy feeling. There was 30 – 45 minute wait, which I think we was seating within 20 minutes. The hostess were very nice and welcoming! The restaurant consist of 3 different rooms which is neat and creative. So when we got seated, our server was nice and patient and was willing to answer all our inquiries. I order the Jimmy G’s Seafood Platter, which was fantastic! I really enjoyed the dish! I definitely would recommend this restaurant and plan on going back to try their Shrimp Burger(YUM!)

I’ve been here for both lunch(on a weekday) and dinner(on a Saturday night) and I was impressed both times. The service is great, the ambiance is nice, and the food is amazing! My lunch group had around 13 people and although we all ordered different things, everyone loved their meal. The pot roast was AMAZING and the kale salad with incredible. The stuffed chicken was also pretty great(it’s like thanksgiving on a plate!)

Insider Tip: for a cozy date or foodie experience book 2 seats at the hot end of the kitchen bar. They are separated, and you’ll be able to see all of the kitchen action. However, your back will be facing the rest of the restaurant and other diners. The food was plentiful and the portions were large. Some of the sides seemed a bit out of place; however, standing alone, all was great. Shirley and I shared fish and chicken. We had to swap side dishes, but all was great. The service is quite attentive and right on time. I don’t care too much for«forced» valet, but they were on point too. The house Riesling was actually pretty good. I think we had more wine than food as we had quite a bit to take home. I hope to return and sit facing the kitchen.

Came here for brunch and boy am I glad we stumbled upon this quaint little place! Beautifully decorated with an outdoor patio with elegant décor. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. Had a perfect Sunday afternoon dining outside for brunch. I would come back in a heart beat.

I came here for brunch on a Sunday around 1pm. It was 30 minutes wait for a table, so my friend and I opted to sit at seats in front of the kitchen. It was an interesting view, and we saw many different entrees come out of the kitchen that looks delicious. The menu is a little bit pricier, and portions are smaller. I had the fried chicken biscuit, and I enjoyed the jalepeno sauce and the fried chicken. The sauce was a bit salty, but I like salty foods, so I was ok with that. The texture of the biscuit was more like bread than biscuit for me, but it was ok. Plus points for the parking garage nearby the restaurant.

I LOVECARROTCAKE. I say a lot of controversial things, but for some reason, people find this to be the most outrageous one. What’s wrong with carrot cake? Grace’s has the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. The warm cream cheese icing is poured table side, soaking into the layers upon layers of rich, moist cake full of pecans and raisins. Don’t expect me to share my slice. I’m just not that nice. I have two rules when dining out. 1. Always save room for dessert 2. Never order chicken(unless it’s fried). Chicken is uninventive and often dry. I can probably roast one in my oven at home at a much lower cost. But the cornbread stuffed chicken breast got to me. I broke my own cardinal rule. At $ 20, it was a clumsily, unnecessarily huge chicken. I do love me some candied yams, but with two sides, it’s WAY more food than anyone needs to consume in one meal. It would make more sense to lessen the portion and consequently, the price. It wasn’t bad, but it reminded me that white meat is boring, and what I really wanted was just a bowl of cornbread stuffing. My friend’s cheeseburger looked delicious, but again, $ 18 is steep. I tried the beer battered fries, and they were EXCELLENT. I would order a hundred dry chicken breasts if it meant these came on the side. Grace’s reminds me of a fancier Cheesecake Factory with better food. There’s stress-free parking in the garage and lots of seating. The menu is full of classic American favorites like pot roast, at prices that are higher than they should be, but you feel good about paying them because you’re fooled by the ambiance.

Service was quick, although we had a grumpy waiter. Nonetheless, I would recommend this place. The gumbo has a dark roux, I would probably order it again. Mac and cheese was traditional homestyle. The oxtail raviolis were dynamite. The French dip/Philly cheesesteak sandwich was more BBQish, not really what we expected. French fries were crispy and well seasoned. The back patio was quiet and enjoyable. Free parking in the parking garage if you don’t want to street park or valet.

If you ever get a hankerin’ for delicious southern comfort food, get gussied up and skedaddle over to Grace’s to leave happy as a tick on a fat dog. If yer lookin’ for heaven on earth, you’ve found it! Grace’s sure inspires my inner southern belle. As soon as I walked in, it reminded me of an upscale cracker barrel, all the southern homeyness with an upscale appeal. It’s what I imagine my rich antie Annabelle’s house would look like, that is, if I had a rich antie Annabelle. We came in for brunch and ended ordering a hodge podge of things. Everything was so delicious we vowed to return soon for their dinner menu. For brunch we had the chicken fried chicken biscuit with jalapeño gravy, side of breakfast potatoes, pancakes, and tortilla soup. Literally everything was slap-yo-mama’s-mama good. The chicken fried chicken was fried to perfection, the biscuit was soft and fluffy with delicious jalapeño white gravy. The breakfast potatoes were cooked with onions and bacon and added that extra yum. Tortilla soup was probably the best I’ve had. The broth was very good with shredded chicken and chunks of avocado! I didn’t have the pancakes because my boyfriend ate it all in 2.5 seconds flat without hesitation so I didn’t get to try it. Last but not least, the service was excellent. We got refills before asking for it and our server was super nice and friendly. I can’t wait to go back to try more items off their menu!

Good ambiance. Patio is nice too. Not cheap, not casual, yet a good place to take a client for business lunch. Fried oyster salad was ok. Maybe I’m picky, but the texture was off since spinach and oysters were mushy. Although there were a few pine nuts, they could’ve mixed in a bit of romaine or celery to give a good crispy/crunchiness contrast to complement the mushiness. If I ever return, I’d definitely try another dish. Their garlic bread was good. Slightly crunch and well-buttered.

Went to Grace’s for lunch on Saturday. It’s a casual place and they have valet and a parking structure. We ordered the following: 1. Spicy bloody mary is average. 2. Frozen mimosa is like a fruit smoothie and on the sweet side. 3. Bottle of Nickel & Nickel merlot was nice. 4. crab cake entrée that we shared as appetizer. The crab cake has nice lump crab meat and the flavor is decent. 5. Oyster spinach salad has deep fried oysters and spinach is light dressed with a vinaigrette & crumbled blue cheese + pine nuts. The oysters tasted fresh with a nice crunchy batter. 6. Mia’s gumbo has a light flavor with lump crab meat and shrimps. 7. Wagyu strip cooked perfectly medium rare but doesn’t have a lot of seasoning. 8. Fries are okay. 9. Mexican corn also okay. 10. Beef stroganoff has a good flavor and the pasta nice texture. Comfort food. 11. Sampling of all their desserts(carrot cake, chocolate cake, bread pudding, lemon pie) — which are okay, nothing memorable except the Godiva Hazelnut Freeze. Service was good and the restaurant automatically added 18% gratuity(for our table of 2). Overall, we had a decent meal and will come back.

Sooooo I’ve been here twice and have had nothing short of amazing here!!! You must start of with the sticky Ribs, take it a step further and use the bread to make a sticky rib sandwich! Thank me later I had a «special of the day» Bayou Chicken– stuffed chicken with crab meat, creole sauce on top with crab meat and bits of corn, it pairs with asparagus but I paired mine with candid yams!!! I duttttyy whined in my seat while eating this in the living room of a grandma’s house! The décor reminds you of a southern grandma’s house! Comfort food for sure! They aren’t stingy with portions either so don’t let your eyes order ahead of your tummy!!!
