Fully Booked

This bookstore is closed. Just looked all over the terminal for it to finally discover it boarded up. Sad.

I really like this bookstore. Tons of paperback selections. Tons of magazines. Tons of room to sit and read, actually. I’d recommend spending some time in here during a layover.

If you’re a smart guy like moi (and boy do I got brains! somewhere…) and you’re planning a trip to go just right you know what to do before you board that long plane (boat, bus, train) ride — ‘specially if it comes with extensions and connections and what have you. You charge your iPad or Kindle (in my case) and stash an extra book ready to go — and then if you’re like me — well… you leave the charged kindle and the brand spanking new paperback right next to your suitcase… and forget to take them with you. Yep… I’m STOOOPID like that (which means basically even gay guys can act like real guys too). What comes to the rescue — well if you’re in that particular locale of hell called Houston’s Airport — thank goodness for Fully Booked — a not too shabby (at all!) bookstore that has a good half dozen + sections of different varieties (youth, Sci Fi, Fiction, Magazines, etc.) of readable material to take on your plane so you can save the rest of your pennies for what really counts when traveling… alcohol!

Great book store in the Houston airport. Wonderful selection of classics and a very knowledgable staff.

Big selection of books, magazines, and some miscellaneous office and reading items, along with the usual nicknacks. Did have a particularly good selection of greeting cards, always good for the last minute card before your final travel destination.

Didn’t have the Crucial Conversations book I was searching for… boo. You’d think with that big of a selection, they’d have a book like this.

One of the best book selections I have seen in an airport, very nice. The customer service was also good.

Terminal C. Seems bigger than most airport bookstores. Friendly staff. Décor in line with the rest of IAH. One thing that stood out was the sale section in the back. You rarely see a clearance section in an airport bookstore. I like it.
