I thought this might be a good place to bring to Oklahoma, because we don’t have one, but I wanted ti check it out first. I ordered the Pangoa bowl with quinoa instead of rice, chicken, and no avacado. The food was good, but cold. They put avacado in my bowl. The employees were very cold and uninterested… like it was a bother to answer our questions or take our order. Except for one gentleman… the only male working while we were there. He was very sweet and very helpful. This seems like a great concept, but the service leaves much to be desired.

I was the only one placing an order. Two salad(nothing fancy) and a soup. Had to repeat each item several times. I love salads but found mine to just taste weird. Not a fan… Will not go back especially when Salata is much better. What’s sad is that my daughter warned me.

If you like salads but miss«Warheads» candy, or you are a Pirate going Paleo while trying to prevent scurvy, or if you have ever wondered what it would be like to eat vegetables that were pickled in sour mix, this place is for you. I love lime, seriously love it, however i’m not kidding when I say this salad was DROWNING in the stuff, it just pooled at the bottom of the bowl. It was like eating a vegetable lime chowder, or flat out just sucking on a lime, absolutely no flavor beyond that. To add to this, the portion was extremely small for the money, skimpy on Avocado, just mostly lettuce. Due to having ordered this in, and lacking other groceries in the house, I literally had to grin and bare it. If you would like the same experience, I recommend buying a bag of warheads, grind them up, and sprinkle them on some bagged salad from Kroger. Same thing at ¼ the cost.

Where to begin. I’ll get to the point. Good product, that’s about it. I’ve tried this place several times & even started trying salata & realized they have the one up on Freshii because they have bean AND alfalfa sprouts. How are you going to have a fresh mostly veggie place & not have sprouts? Second, I ordered online. I order online for a reason, because I have to walk literally a mile round trip to get to Freshii from where I am in the tunnel and I go to pick up my order & the girl starts making it!!! WTH?! Seriously, you’ve annoyed the crap out of me because I have a busy day & I was so unsatisfied with service that i’m even taking 5mins out of my work day to write this review to get it off my chest. Thirdly, this place is NOT clean. I rather go eat Chinese food in the tunnel where everything is fried & slathered in sweet & sour sauce because they actually clean their store fronts. Blenders were just sitting, unwashed & mess all on the outside of the handle, frozen yogurt machine or whatever it is had drippings all over the side/bottom. Mess on the corner of the floor. The back looked decent where they prepare most of the food but who am I to say unless I can walk back there. I just don’t think this place actually CARES. I also don’t enjoy how everyone seems so lackadaisical. If you want to have business you have to act like you can actually handle that much business. Just because it may be an off hour doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care about your work. No one would be ‘awed’ by the service here. That’s all I have to say. Try harder.

Have you ever felt like you are in a movie. I felt like that today when I visited Freshii. Of the four orders in front of me, and my own order 0% were correct. Everyone had to send their order back to be corrected. Complete incompetence. Don’t waste your time with this place!

I had the ‘bliss’ bowl — the name is very misleading. More like a small bowl of mush — only blissful for toddlers or people without teeth.

I was hoping to really like the food. It was bland and dry. The salmon was overcooked and tasted«old». The salad itself was nothing close to the name of the place«fresh». I felt like I was eating yesterday’s leftovers. It was overpriced. The dressing was extremely bland. Almost like it was watered down. Salads from McDonald’s and Wendy’s have more flavor and are more fresh than what I had today. Don’t waste your money here. I wouldn’t order from here even if someone gave me a free meal.

My go to spot for lunches while in Houston! They are healthy, have lots of options, big portion sizes and cheap! And… they have gluten free options! The staff is always nice, I think they’ve started to recognize me. And I wasn’t sure about one ingredient, he pulled out the list of everything, and let me know for fact what was gluten free. If you want healthy fast food, this is the place.

While this place has healthier options, it’s overpriced. It’s also a little overwhelming. You fill out what you want an a sheet of paper and it has SO many options, by the time you’re done with it you’re not even sure what you ordered. They have everything from wraps, to noodle bowls and salads. I’ve tried a handful of them and they are all just«A-OK» — nothing amazing. I got a salad and a tea last time I was there and it ran me $ 11. Really? It’s in a food court. I do, however, enjoy the noodle bowls, so I occasionally find myself still coming back for that, despite the price.

Sonia and her team at freshii are great! We use them a lot for catering orders for our office. Anything we need, Sonia is ready and happy to help. If you’re not sure what you want, she is full of suggestions and helpful with deciding portion sizes and how much food you will need. I’ve been told several times by our staff they really like the food, and often they request it! I’ve also eaten there on my own and really enjoy it every time. Don’t be afraid to be picky about what you want or don’t want on your food. I highly suggest the Asian Noodle Bowl and the Soho Salad. Vegans/vegetarians should also be able to find what they want.

Sorry but this place is all about the money. I was hooked with the healthy concept but sorry, we have some serious issues in relation to being way too stingy with the customer. In the tunnels, Chick fillet has a HUGE amount of free ketchup, hot sauce, mayo, mustard, etc. The Chinese place offers free hot sauce, free soy sauce, free hot pepper flakes, even the cheap Thai people not too far offers free peanuts and hot sauce. Now Freshi, on two different occassions: 1) I wanted more soy sauce as the very small container you gave me was not enough for my warrior bowl. Ok, I was charged $.75 for extra soy sauce and I let it pass. 2) Today I meant to order the spicy bowl and I wanted it extra-hot. Guess what? They wanted me to pay $.75 to make it hot… Really? Really? Both the Chinese and Thai place a few feet from you PACK their counter with free soy sauce, peanuts, pepper flakes, lemon, hot sauce, soy sauce, to say the least… Hello? Pay attention to details for those little things are what piss customers off. Not returning based on your customer service. Food still good but expendable.

Freshii has been a lifesaver for me as of late. It’s one of the few places I can count on in the Houston Center food court to not put me in a major food coma after consumption. Like I said, a lifesaver. Not only can I stay awake during afternoon meetings, it also is slightly less expensive than Salata and is virtually a guilt-free meal. Kale and tofu for lunch? It’s practically calorie-free! That is unless you eat it in the form of their Kale Effect rice bowls in which there is an amazing peanut dressing that is worth the extra calories and has been my favorite thing to order lately. Besides a few other menu items, they also have a build your own section of wraps, salads, etc. and offer soups/fro-yo as well. And though I have yet to try this, I’ve heard nothing but good things about their breakfast from coworkers. I’ll need to verify this one morning when I can pull myself away from the trusty ‘ol SB.

Look. As Americans we expect a lot of food. As health conscience people, we expect to get thin while pigging out. As cheap asses… we want it for close to free. This is your place! Ok. If you’re looking for a romantic spot to try to get somewhere with someone. the flourecents might not help you out… but the lack of nasty chemicals and added fats will keep your tummy from rumbling later… So it evens out. My vegan happy self is thrilled with the fact that they actually CARE if I get sick or not. They have good separation practices that make a Die hard Vegan comfortable enough that we don’t have to watch every move. My vegetarian daughter digs this place…(see photo of said child at said Freshii). Yay, fast, cheap and easy!(Oh, and healthy) AND… FREEWIFI. Nuff said people.

The best dish here is the ludicrously named«warrior bowl», a frankly disgusting sounding mixture of brown rice, buffalo chicken, and low fat ranch dressing, a great gloppy mass of nonsense thrown together into a chinese takeout type box. It is that kind of place — have it your way, so long as your way involves throwing disparate ingredients on top of each other in a box, and binding the whole absurd thing together with xantham gum sauces. The indignities go beyond the food, from the stupid name(what is the point of the extra«i»?) and the irritating ordering process, which involves being harassed by staff while trying to fill out a complicated form on a clipboard with a fingernail sized pencil, to the fact that they pride themselves on mixing your salad in a disposable, supposedly biodegradable bag(why? Who knows?). So, I suppose that sounds like a 1 star review. It’s not because despite all the horrors, freshii offers a way to order fresh-ish vegetables in the tunnels. And the food, as awful as it sounds, somehow ends up tasting inoffensive, and at least has the virtue of being very filling. Sometimes, small mercies are worth rather a lot.

Thought I would try another new lunch place today but didn’t want to go far, so I tooled over the Freshii. I have been eyeballing this place for a while but have yet to stop in. Why? Well, they use one of those new-fangled clip board ordering systems. I don’t know why but I find that I am very offput by those. Why can’t I just walk up and tell someone what I want and let them fill out the paperwork to their liking? Anyway, I was taking an early lunch and there was no one in line ahead of me, so I went on in. The nice guy standing in the front helped me out and I filled in an order for a wrap filled with spinach with goat cheese, kalamata olives, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. I put olive oil and balsamic on it for dressing. Strangely enough, after I ticked off all the things I wanted, the guy still had to review it and mark the items I had marked with a blue highlighter. Why couldn’t he ask me what I wanted and do the marking in the first place??? Who knows? Anyway, I got my copy of the order form and took it to the checkout and the girl started to ring me up. I asked for tea. The cost was $ 12.30. For a wrap and tea? This had better be a seriously good wrap. I got my tea, which was good and sat just outside the store on the bench and had a short wait for my wrap. I took it upstairs, sat down and opened it up. The wrap was tightly rolled, which I like. That way the ingredients don’t immediately start falling into your lap as you try to eat the thing. The tortilla seemed a little bit heavy and appeared to have been in the fridge. Not the freshest ever, but it was still soft. When I bit into the wrap, I immediately tasted the olives and goat cheese with spinach. It was really satisfying and savory. All of my ingredients shone through, although there was not a lot of bacon. Can you ever have enough bacon? Since that was my primary protein, I would have expected more. Anyway, from first bite to last, that wrap was tasty and all of the ingredients were evenly distributed so you didn’t get a clump of cheese then a clump of olives, etc. The ingredients were also all very fresh tasting, so, Freshii lives up to their name. Looking at the prices in their menu items, they do seem to be a little bit more pricey than some of the other mall food joints. Their quality ingredients do speak well for the added expense, however. I think I will do some comparison eating now to decide if I really think they are worth it.

Wow! Freshii — thank you for coming to downtown Houston! It is a welcome change of pace from the usual«fast food» hell that is downtown. I love your salads and your bowls — and the fact that you actually stay open until 6pm when just about everyone has closed up for the afternoon. As others have stated, the lines are long at lunch — but they are there for a reason: this place has the tastiest and healthy food I’ve ever had. You can customize your meal by using the order form, which can be overwhelming the first time you’re there. Or you can do what most people do: order off the menu. I’ve had the grilled steak salad and the Warrior Chicken Bowl — and I’m a big fan of those! I can tell you that there are practically zero carbs on the grilled steak salad, and about a zillion in the Warrior Chicken bowl — but those are low glycemic index carbs(brown rice, veggies, etc). And that is why this place is healthy: its fresh, its good for your body and most of all, its tasty. All of which makes me come here quite a bit for lunch and dinner. Overall, a great place for food. Why not 5 stars? A bit on the pricey side for the salads, but I’m certain its because they don’t use iceberg lettuce — its all Romaine, spinach and other goodies :) I’m coming back for sure!

Freshii’s got a good concept, and I think it’s more orangized than Salata. None of that pressure of a line behind you while picking out your salad ingredients. At Freshii, you get a checklist and just mark off what you want. They also have great«set» items– it’s much easier sometimes to just pick something right off the menu. I ordered the bbq chicken salad, and it was okay. Felt pretty healthy, but they just pile everything up in the center of the salad. It’s filled up to the brim, so there’s not much room in the container to toss your sald. It’d be nice if they tossed it for you. The soup looks good– you pick a base and your own ingredients. My friend usually gets the Thai lemongrass one. Be prepared for a long line though.

I had the pleasure of eating at Freshii the other night. WOW! I had the cobb wrap specially made(sans the blue cheese and honey dijon) and it was amazing. I also bought a vegan banana mini loaf and died and went to heaven. It was so tasty. The cashier was helpful and extremely nice. It’s nice that if I want something quick and fast foodesque, I can get it healthily. So glad they’re openeing more of these up around Houston — our city could you use more fresh, healthy places to eat~ economically and environmentally! The bangkok something wrap is also really friggin’ awesome — I’m getting that next time — and they serve Stacey’s Pita chips!!! SCORE!
