Delicious chicken. A little slow sometimes, but since hiring new employees, haven’t had a problem. Chicken tenders are amazing. And anytime you come here, you HAVE to try the kool-aid! Perfect sweetness.

Clean atmosphere, decent service/prices and scrumptious wings! Can’t beat that! Will always pass by Frenchy’s when visiting H-Town.

I need a negative star for the location on 1960. We had lunch there yesterday and chicken smelled a little funkie and tasted like it was fried in old oil. Waste of time and money.

I went to the Frenchy Chicken on 2920 in Spring and ordered the 10 piece family Meal which should have come with 2 legs, 3 thighs, 3 wings, 2 breast and one side for 20.99, but instead I got 5 legs and 5 thighs and 1 side, which was 9.99 with one side. and got charged 21.99 because I up-charged to cornbread. If you go there make sure you check your order before you leave. I feel i just got robbed. Not sure if i would go back paid twice as much as i should have with what i got and did not get what i wanted. Did not want to go back I was hungry and traffic was bad.

I had heard great things about frenchy’s from a lot of my friends so thought I would try them out, I’m sure other locations are great but the one at rankin road, stay far from there. Manager was at the register, very rude, I ordered the 3 tender and fries meal, paused for a second and decided to add 3 biscuits to my meal. She gave me a look of anger and frustration as though I was making trouble for her, she asked me «you wanted red beans and rice?» I responded no just the biscuits, she spits a total at me and I hand her my card to pay, turns out I was charged for an order of «Red beans & Rice». It was already to the point I wanted to get my food and go. So I’m told it’s 6 mins for my food, move forward to 20 mins later and here is your food sir, forgot the biscuits and red beans, I get them and I’m finally out of there, and then it’s time to eat. Fries were luke warm, a few soggy ones, but most of them were dried out like stale chips, had been under the heating lamp to long. The red beans and rice looks more like refried beans and old rice with disgusting sausage on top, chickens tenders cooked but breading is soggy, wasn’t left in long enough and way to much seasoning. May just be this location but I’m not going back to frenchy’s especially the rankin rd location anytime soon

The first server who helped us was rude and seemed to be in a rush. We did take awhile to order because we are from out of town and had never been here before. The second server who helped us was very friendly and also gave recommendations on what to eat. She totally made up for her coworkers lack of customer service. Overall the chicken was ok. I had to send the dirty rice back the rice was undercooked but the server happily replaced it and brought our new sides out to the table.

I dropped by this location while heading back from a weekend in Galveston. I have heard rave reviews of Frenchy’s for some years now and figured I would check it out. The chicken is greasy but tastes great. Very well seasoned. But the fries are what really stand out. Salty, seasoned and greasy, probly not the best combination if you are a health nut, but I found it enjoyable. The staff mentioned that they just franchised, I wonder how that will affect the quality of the product. Solid expercience overall, I would definitely recommend.

This place took 15 minutes to get my order and it wasn’t even fresh. It was a little dirty and fries were like they had been heated up. Nothing like he one on Scott st.

Great to have a Frenchy’s close to where I live. The chicken is good, but on my first visit, there was only one customer besides me in the restaurant. We both waited forever for our orders. And when I ordered my food, 2 of the workers were arguing back and forth about who was going to close down their register first. This went on for about a minute, before the cashier even acknowledged I was standing there and asked for my order. A little unprofessional. but the chicken is good.

I am glad to have a Frenchy’s on the north side. Unlike the Scott Street location, this restaurant is entirely indoors. While there are a couple of different options, I always order the chicken. Overall the chicken is really good. It has a nice spice and flavor to it. You can choose from a variety of sides, I usually stick with Frenchy fries. The seating area is a little weird. They have seats on the right and they have seats on the left. There is a large gap in the middle where more seats could go. On this visit I noticed quite a few flies flying around. For most restaurants I would ding them for this. In this instance I associate this to the Scott street charm being brought north! I would definitely recommend anyone who likes fried chicken to try this place. I definitely plan on coming back! Now I need to go wipe the grease off my fingers!
