We both ordered the mushroom swiss burger. Wow was it good! A big olé burger with plenty of mushrooms and tasty swiss. Topped with tomato and lettuce and mayo. Yum! I would’ve given a solid four stars, but the sides(fries and onion rings) were lacking. Next time I think we’ll stick with the chips. I loved that the pickle was large, crisp and juicy! Most everyone had pizza – you can even buy it by the slice. Its a very busy place so be prepared to share a table. We will be back next time we go to the Alley.

Good atmosphere for it being very tiny. Definitely a good place to go with a few friends. The pizza was good. Not my favorite, but good. I also had the spicy wings… Those weren’t spicy at all. Overall, I had a good time and I would go again to try a different pizza.

I loveeeeeeeeee Frank’s Pizza … I love pizza and it’s hard for me to find good pizza that does not taste like commercial cookie cutter pizza … Frank’s is fresh, fast and the food never disappoints me … I love their pepperoni pizza … I really love that their pizza is thin and does not have too much sauce…1 ½ slice is enough to make me full… I love u Frank’s Pizza

I love pizza and this place is pretty good to hit up after a long day of work if you work in downtown or nearby. Or, maybe just to soak up the alcohol after hitting the bars nearby. They sell pizza by the slice, wings, fries, whole pizza, etc. I ordered a slice of meat lover pizza and they threw in on the belt to get it warm and delicious. Overall, the pizza was decent, the service was fast for the sliced pizza but the fries took about 10 minutes, and is pretty cheap. I liked the pizza so I would go back for more but it’s not one of a kind or something I must have.

This place is perfect for a casual night out if you feel like grabbing pizza and beer. Reminds me of a late night pizza spot in New York. The place is two stories and downstairs has limited seating but the top part has more room if you come in with a larger group of friends. The upstairs part is very cozy and a little quieter than downstairs. It’s a perfect spot for doing some work on the computer since they also have wifi. Over all very cool casual spot.

I love Frank’s. When I’m craving as close to a New York-style slice(or two) as I can get in Houston, I always think of the cheesy goodness of Frank’s traditional pie. Delivery all over downtown. Tip: try the spicy chicken wings, cooked in the pizza oven rather than fried.

The best pizza downtown period. The staff is always great and the quality of the pizza is always amazing. They do deliver depending on where you are downtown — so if you are at say House of Blues or even at work they will deliver. Even if you are not usually downtown this is one of those things that you must try while in Houston.

Heaven in my mouth. We got the pepperoni with extra cheese, guy said the wait was an hour to an hour and a half(not bad for NYE anyway) but we got it in about 30 mins. Perfect crust & perfectly cheesy.

Great pizza for those drunken nights! Haha! Staff was friendly and personable! I ordered a mushroom pizza, it was big and tasty! They open pretty late, I would recommend anybody drunk and in downtown to go eat there lol!

I’ve read that Frank’s is the ultimate drunk food. And you know what, I’m totally OK with eating drunk food completely sober because YOLO(and lots of exercise from the minor shame of eating drunk food sober). A friend and I came here for lunch one day, and first thing that hits you: this place smells like pizza. You will leave smelling like pizza. You cannot avoid smelling like pizza. Just a forewarning. After we ordered and sat for what seemed like ages because of how hangry we were getting(again, the smell. It’s intoxicating before you realize you smell like it yourself), we dug into our half Hawaiian, half meat lovers pizza. Overall: not bad at all. Sure, it’s not the most special pizza in the world, but it sure satisfied any pizza craving that my friend and I had — portions here are pretty large, too, so you leave stuffed(and smelling like pizza). The folks here are quite nice, too, so overall my experience at Frank’s was pretty good. Except for going back to the office smelling like pizza.

I love going downtown because it means I get to get on Unilocal and discover a new place to eat. We were going to the aquarium downtown for a day with the family and decided to try Franks Pizza(less than a 10 min walk from the aquarium). Cool atmosphere for starters, classic hole in the wall join. Very friendly staff and very affordable. A large pizza with several toppings, cheese sticks and 3 drinks was less than $ 30.00 and it fed 4 people. Can’t beat that for lunch. Pizza was out in about 10 minutes and tasted very good and fresh. I highly recommend this place. I also got a bumper sticker!!!

Pizza was decent. It fit the bill after a 25 mile bike ride. We ordered three slices of supreme and one spinach. The spinach was the best one. It had more flavor and it was fresh. The pizza would be better if there was actually tomato sauce and baked in a better oven. Our friend got a fresh slice of supreme and it was hot. Wish our slices would have been that way. The lines were long but it did not take long to order. You will get extremely close and personal in the line almost rubbing elbows in line and those sitting next to the line.

Pizza was hot, fresh, good… staff was very nice and welcoming. So many pizza places to go to but it was worth the walk over. I would come back again.

Great pizza in Houston and seems super popular. This place was packed late on Saturday night; even had a newly wed couple in their tux and wedding dress waiting in line for a slice. The combo pizza was delicious and the sauce was spicy. Great place for a late night bite or beer.

I’ve always enjoyed Frank’s pizza, especially the one that is loaded with all kinds of toppings! This summer my bf and I stopped by for lunch. Since the place is always packed and there’s limited seating, we got lucky when we found a small table on the top floor overlooking the pizza prep area. Well… we were kind of grossed out when we noticed that the employees were not wearing gloves and two employees dropped utensils on the ground and didn’t bother washing them. This place has good pizza but it definitely needs to work on their sanitation.

I love me some franks pizza for lunch while downtown. Parking is very limited, but it’s downtown! Easily accessible off the light rail. They sell by the slice, and they’re a pretty decent size. I can walk away with a $ 10 lunch, feeling full. Seating is pretty limited here so if you’re coming with a big group, come early. If you try to order for delivery during the weekday, you have to call early, like 9−10am! They usually have coupons posted on their website so check em out.

This place! Wow! What a great place for late-nite pizza in downtown Houston. Of course I knew we were staying in Houston for my wife’s birthday weekend, so I immediately went to Unilocal!to get some advice on places to eat. Frank’s Pizza was one of those places. It is a shotgun-style restaurant. So it’s longer than it is wider. There are a handful of tables along the wall where the counter is where you order, so it’s a tight squeeze as you make your way from the front door to the end of the line. There are also some tables upstairs, but they were taken. Someone left and my wife scooped up the table. If you don’t like crowded, loud, and divey, don’t go here! I personally liked it, but my wife, not so much. Whoever was there before us didn’t take their trash so we sat with it. Again, for me was part of the, ahem, charm of the place. I ordered a medium with pepperoni, mushroom, & sausage. They also had Saint Arnold’ Lawnmower and Oktoberfest. I ordered 2 of the Oktoberfest. They were only $ 2 each. The pizza was ready within about 10 – 15 minutes. Not a bad wait considering all the people and orders in front of us! The pizza itself was hot and tasted fresh. Loved the bread, sauce, and toppings. Great pizza! Makes me sad I ever order papa johns or dominos. If you’re ever in downtown Houston, make your way here.

Best drunk food ever. Seriously. Unless you’re ordering a pepperoni with jalapenos, which is what one of my friends did last night and they literally forgot about his order. This location was a lot more crowded than it usually is when I’ve been in the past, so I can understand, but another friend had to remind them because we had been waiting over 20 minutes for his pizza to be ready. The restaurant itself is pretty small and compact, but we’ve never had a problem with seating, especially last night. My friend wanted to go upstairs to wait for our pizza, but I wanted to be within hearing distance from the counter. Next time I come here, I’ll have to check out the upstairs seating area since I’ve never been up there before. The slices of pizza are huge and delicious. It’s so good. I’m telling you, best drunk food ever.

Frank’s is my absolutely favorite pizza place on Earth… I mean, in Houston. I’ve been coming here for years and it truly never disappoints. No matter if you just left the club, headed to a bar, exploring downtown or you just down right want a quality slice of pizza… this is your place. My personal favorite is the supreme, but the foundation of these pizzas are wonderfully constructed. Not to be mistaken, this is not NY style pizza at all. It has the vibe, but by no means should you expect a slice of pie. I’ll drive out of my way for Frank’s if I get a craving. I love that they service beer, because nothing washes down pizza better than Dos Equis. Don’t bother going anywhere else in town for pizza, Gotham Pizza and Pink’s don’t even compare.

Fresh hot pizza for when you’re about to go out drinking, or for after you’re done drinking. You can have it both ways since this place open super late. The downside? The line can get pretty long. But fret not, it moves quickly. A slice of pizza costs you $ 3 and up. They are pretty big slices so one slice might be enough if you’re not that hungry, get a couple just in case. A couple times I’ve been here, the pizza slices were always fresh since the lines were always long and they popular kinds of pizza(pepperoni) were always out. So they kept making a fresh batch after batch. If you’re out of luck and they didn’t have any fresh ones, the way could take up to 10 minutes. If you’re like me, just order something that’s readily available(supreme, chicken pesto, margherita, or whatever they have out). The pizza tastes okay. Definitely not the best but definitely not the worst either. Compared to other pizza places like Bombay or Luna, they don’t compare. But if you’re looking for a pizza that has that classic greasy, give-me-a-slice-of-pizza-right-now-because-I’m-really-really-craving-one-right-now, then go for it. Dining in by the slice? You’ll get your pizza in their by-the-slice to go box(at least I always did). Don’t forget to ask for some parmesan cheese and or chili pepper or whatever because they don’t have any at the tables. Seating is limited but people come in and out quickly. The downstairs tables are for two people while the upstairs seating area is good for larger groups — if you can find any.
