I love the Five guys Hamburgers. They are what you call gourmet burgers, they are juicy and cooked to perfection. It is located close to my house so when I crave a burger, I just stop in. It will make you leave the McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger Kings behind! You can order online and go in an pickup with out a long wait. One thing like about their french fries is that they give you a lot. Not only do they fill the container up but they add extra to your bag! There are many other gourmet burgers in town but I like these the best. The only one I like that may compete with them is the In-an-Out burger but there are none in Houston. So until that time its Five Guys for me.

I began frequenting Five Guys when I lived in the Washington, D.C. metro area, and I’ve always had a fondness for a no frills, grease-filled, everything-on-it kinda burger joint. Five Guys doesn’t disappoint in this regard. Although it is a chain, you get the feeling that it could be any burger joint in your hometown, and the taste matches up to those same places that spark nostalgia in your tastebuds. I’ve eaten at this location a couple of times now, and I thought it was about time for a review. I see others have had issues with this location, but so far they have only hit home runs for me. I’ve had my food within minutes of completing an online order(that capability alone is worth 3 stars for a busy person like myself) and the order was right both times. The burger was cooked to perfection, all the extras included at no charge(I recommend the grilled jalapeños), hot dogs were juicy, and the fries were real potatoes chopped and fried fresh and overflowing the bag. I have no issues here and I will be back!

Sayonara, Adiós, Good-Bye, Auf Wiedersehen and LATER Five Guys! I used to be of the belief that you could trust this brand, but no. This is the last time… Without going into previous experiences(like at the one in Conroe Texas and one in California) that were sub-standard this is just stupid. So, saw this place off I-10 today and getting to it is a real pain in the ass, due to the fact that this giant shopping center only appears to have two connections to streets. I am shocked that the city of Katy would allow such a poor design for safety reasons. What if there were a need for emergency services at any of the dozens of business(like HEB) well you can’t get in and out of here due to constant traffic jams. Anyway, I had lunch with someone that could not get out of the car due to a medical reason, went inside and asked for a paper menu. They looked but didn’t have any. The cashier was a nice guy and tried to help so I just took a picture of the menu and went out to the car and showed it to my friend to get the order. Came back inside and placed the order. I asked if they could wrap the fries in foil to retain heat(due to the fact that I received cold fries in Conroe and California) and while the employee said he would love to, that they don’t allow the fries to be packaged in anything except a cup in a bag. So I didn’t order fries. I was standing at the counter when my number 68 was called out, went out to the car and God Damnit, my burger was COLD! As in refrigerated cold to the touch! My friends burger was hot. I will never understand for the life of me how a burger chain that claims to be famous and highly rated(while being expensive as hell) can screw up a simple burger??? HOW? If there’s any credit due, the jalapenos were fresh sliced(but not de-seeded). I actually won a debate with none other than Bobby Flay about fresh vs. pickled jalapenos on national radio last year so I respect this chain for respecting the jalapeño. The bacon appears to be deep fried which gave it a nice crunch, but I do not like cold food. I HATEEXPENSIVE cold food! The bun on the top of my burger was so cold that it seemed to have just come out of a refrigerator. Has anyone ever taken a plain grocery store burger bun out of the fridge and bit into it at about 37 °F? Bread SUCKS cold that way, and that is –exactly– what this location served to me today. So Matt, Jim, Chad, Ben and Tyler(The Five Guys)… Can one of you five fucks visit this store and show them how to make a burger? I mean the Harris County Health Dept should be by pretty soon as I do report EVERY restaurant that serves me cold food, yet in the grand scheme of protecting your brand perhaps this location should not be serving cold food. Fellow patrons — None of the awards all over the walls of this place are for this location… And has Five Fucks always been this expensive? Blew $ 13 and change on two burgers just a tad larger than sliders, one hot and delicious, one cold as mentioned. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. — — — — –UPDATE11÷09÷15 Someone from Five Guys Corporate in Virginia called me this morning to document this review. I have no idea how they got my phone number but whatever. They did apologize, offer to serve a replacement meal(not needed as it was only 1 of the 2 burgers that had a cold bun). They stated that none of their bread is ever frozen nor refrigerated at any point. So my own conclusion is that my bun came into contact with a cold surface for quite some time and the lady said that they train people to «not do that». So my experience was perhaps a one off human error and this location is going to train better. I will not be accepting the complimentary food that they offered and due to the fact that the lady whom phoned me seemed to genuinely care, I’ll maybe try Five Guys again somewhere else. –Greg D

My favorite burger place! Hand formed patties, fresh cut fries that you can get original or cajun. The added plus is unlimited free toppings that most places charge for like sautéed onions, mushrooms, or fresh sliced jalapeños. Note: their regular burger is double patty so they offer a single patty called«the little burger»

The burgers aren’t even good. Fuddruckers has a better burger and it’s not $ 6.99 for two very thin parties! I gave two stars because they do have good fries. If you want a good burger, go elsewhere.

What a disappointment. I don’t know what all the hype was about. Seriously way way way way too expensive for the size of the burger and there aren’t any combos. I hate to say this was not what I expected. It was fresh, and fries were doused in Cajun seasoning. Powder kingdom or they got too happy seasoning the fries. Two adults and 2 burgers and large fry and regular fries and one drink is well over $ 25 so don’t waste time or money. Quality and quantity do not match up. Side note they have wifi and free peanuts.

Hands down the best franchise burger in town. Prepared fresh, not fast food. The Cajun fries go really well with the vinegar. Yum

I have eaten here numerous times but thsi last trip last week was horrible. First when ordering, they informed me that they were out of pickles. This is a Saturday afternoon. Really, out of pickles, at a hamburger place? You can walk to HEB from here in 2 minutes and buy some to hold you until your supplier comes. After taking my order home, I noticed a number of things. As usual an extra scoop of fries is always thrown in the bag — a BIGWIN. But unfortuantely when we unwrapped out burgers two negative surprises: 1) The burgers looked like they had been thrown together without care and not«built» — the lettuce, tomatoes, etc. were everywhere. We had to take the burgers apart and rebuild them to be eaten. 2) The quality of the meat and the size of the patty has also apparently decreased. Perhaps this is in response to the beef prices, but really? The meat did not cover the bun and was thin, and the flavor was not as good as in the past. Five Guys is not cheap, so please step it up. My wife indicate that she has no desired to return, me in a while perhpas I will give them another shot…

The burger was OK, but the service crappy, and multiple errors were made in the order. Honestly, the fries were the best part of the meal, since the burger was not made the way I had ordered it. I would much more strongly recommend Mooyah’s Burger if you’re looking for a fast burger with good quality and worth the price.

The burgers here are DELICIOUS. In my opinion, within my TOP3 in Houston. Ridiculously fresh to order, with an overflowing amount of fries. More fast food restaurants should learn to include an abundance of fries like this. Now for the bad. Thank God for the outdoor seating area, because the inside was FILTHY from corner to corner. There were enough employees to designate one or two for cleanup duty. The amount of food on the floor looked like a war-zone. I don’t understand how a manager can see their restaurant look like a landfill and be proud to represent this to all walk-in customers. Lucky those burgers are so damn good. I plan on going back, but i’ll eat my food in the car, thank you very much… Or until you learn to keep that place clean :)

Wonderful burger and fries. Get the fries with seasoning. Friendly workers, cheap price and super juicy burgers. Always a good time here but there appears to be bacteria in the ketchup spout, so we used ketchup packets.

It was a nice place but I felt the burgers could be better. It seemed a little overpriced for what you got. I think the mooyahs in cinco area is much better and you can personalize your burger :) overall ok place.

I met a friend here for lunch, they took the order down correctly, but did not make it correctly. The ladies at the front were taking care of getting it fixed, when the manager yells at my friend to get her receipt. It was so loud I heard it over a noisy restraunt, sitting in front of the entrance. He was behind the grill. I responded that the receipt was right here at the same tone, the whole kitchen froze for a moment. I gave them the receipt and they offered to make it right. The manager never apologized, she wasn’t going to eat food he made after yelling at her and he ruined the entire lunch. When confronted, he said«it’s my job to be loud…» Well, most people do not like to be barked at and they have lost two customers!!! I strongly urge people to not tollerate jerks yelling at you, weather you are right or wrong.

I love the food here. The burgers are kind of greasy but they are just exactly the right flavor and juice needed for me. It doesn’t taste fast food to me which is why I would choose to go here over any fast food burger out there! I kind of relate my fast food burgers to In N Out burgers(if you haven’t had them you’re missing out) but to me these are dang good burgers! Their fries are great as well but I feel they could be cooked a little more to avoid them being soggy! But overall love!

The burgers here were very good. There is a good selection of toppings to choose from for your burger and they are all included in your burger price. The burgers are all very fresh and the fries are pretty good. The large fries is A LOT. They give you a cup full of fries then fill your bag. The burgers came out pretty fast and the service was normal. The only thing was that it was a little dirty(might have been because we came at night) and the women’s bathroom was locked(or someone was camping out in it.)

You can’t go wrong with 5 guys. Great fries and plenty of toppings you can choose from. Keep in mind, burgers are double stacked since the patties are smaller. You also have option to buy single stacked kids size burger.

Super-friendly cashier guy. Fresh ingredients. Really bright lighting, which I love. And free peanuts for munching while waiting, haha. The little cheese burger is not little. Maybe I should have specified that I wanted it medium though — it came out pretty cooked through, like a medium well to well-done. Still decent. A good spot to grab a quick meal on the go.

I’ve always liked FIVEGUYS for a simple burger when I get the craving. Their meat is fresh, buns are fluffy and toppings are customizable. Can’t go wrong with that. I wish there were more FIVEGUYS around the western corridor of Houston. This particular location is a bit hard to get to although very visible from Katy Freeway. Customer service was good but it seemed like they were understaffed as orders took a while to come through…

They got my order wrong, but the burger was still tasty. I asked for a bacon burger and they gave me a double meat burger. They also mis heard my toppings and had two wrong, thankfully I caught it on the receipt and corrected it… wish I would have caught my bacon not being on there. Someone said someting about greasy fries… I dont know, I only ate a couple because the burger was so filling. I guess it gets a 4 because the ordering difficulties I had, but it was a tasty burger. Its no In and Out… but its good…

Awesome small town feel. Where the employees were very helpful. When I ordered they asked if I had ever been there and explained the menu to me. Good thing they told me about the regular burger being two patties and the«little» one only being one. The people cleaning up the restaurant as we ate came around 3 times and asked how everything was and if we needed any refills on our drinks. I have never been to a place like that and was offered good service. The food was awesome. my «little» burger was anything but little. I got it with all the options that usually come on burgers plus grilled onions and mushrooms, and jalapenos(all free of charge). I also ordered the Cajun fries which came recommended from a friend. The bag was full of fries and the burger as huge. At this point really happy I didnt get the double. Everything was fresh from the lettuce to the jalapenos. The cajun fries were badass, but couldnt finish them because there were too many(loss of man points). I’ll definitely come back. I was extremely impressed.
