I would never have stepped into this neighborhood«pub» if it were not for my long time friend Jeanne introducing me to this here. Once you are«in» here with the crowd you will definitely feel the friendliness from the middle of the eye-pleasing bartenders(the female ones), to the corner where the elder guy is hovering over his whiskey sour drink speaking of his hundred acres of land he has on the lakes, over to the casually dressed lady putting the fixes on her hamburger on the other side and even around the actual bar area where you’ll find seasoned bar veterans that have been coming here for DECADES extending their hands in greetings. If any of you remember the sitcom«Cheers», this would almost be the place where everybody really knows everybody, just not as spiffy as the stage set. Since my first day entering here nervously looking for somebody I have not seen in 5 years, my guard got lowered since coming in here and finding it a predominately Caucasian bar but a visit or two here and you’ll never feel out of place here. The drinks here are almost dirt cheap. A whisky and coke is only $ 4 and they pour HEAVY, think in the lines of Warrens downtown, yea, one of those but not douchy. Food is served here and on almost any given night there is a little something to the mix. I had the Ruben one night and the Hamburger another. The Ruben is decent and well balanced. A little bit of that Rye looking bread, corned beef, that special sauce, about a 2-ounce portion of sour kraut with a small hand grab of potato chips make it worth trying and for only $ 6. I don’t think they do fried foods here so french fries are not offered. The other week I tried their $ 6 hamburger special, it would not be fair to make a comment since I ordered a little past medium but next time I shall try it medium rare so it will not come out on the little dry side. Thursday nights are Ribeye nights and I promise myself that I will try this so an update is sure to come. I remembered a pool table or two off to the left side, bathrooms toward the middle and on the right, you’ll notice a glass door towards that back, I believe that is the patio. The people here are very well behaved, you will NEVER have to worry about a fight breaking out. There are millionaires, mid class and hard working blue collars like me here but you won’t notice the difference until you’ve been introduced to this fine bunch. Parking is kind of tight and isn’t really big truck friendly. Do not park across the street unless you want the inevitable to happen. The interior is nothing near new but up kept to where nothing will appear dilapidated, it’s just that homely feeling that will get you past that. The service here is very very comforting, as they notice your drink on the low side you will without seeking to be asked if you would like another. Got a water in front of you? Don’t be surprised if while you’re talking to your friend, look over and see a water nozzle on top of your glass, that’s service without extreme. The demographic here is mostly 40 and above so if you plan on coming in here with your pants halfway down to your knee caps… take that crap somewhere else, we’re all happy here.

What a gem!!! Amazing staff. This is perfect for a «home bar» where everyone can know your name. They have some of the best bartenders in the greater houston area– hands down!

What can I say about this place, except this is a great neighborhood bar. Good people, good drinks and it is clean. The staff working at First Tee is a good reason to stop by. I like looking for good local bars. Some call them dive bars, I say they it has«atmosphere». I was in town for business and looking for a safe fun place to grab a drink with co-workers. I recommend giving this place a try. The parking lot is small, so you may have to park on the street.

This place has all of the ingredients that make a great dive bar. Strong drinks, entertaining games, and plenty of opportunities for great people watching. Clean with fast service and did I mention the strong drinks? My favorite neighborhood watering hole!

What a horrible place! I went in after work for a drink because its in my area and I walked in and one of the partons made me feel uncomfortable before I even talked to the bartender. Then the bartender accused me of being drunk(when I just got off work) gave her my id then she then proceeded to give me a bad attitude. I decided to walk out with out having drink. I WILLNEVERGOTHEREAGAIN! So after all that drama I went to my awesome local bar BIGJOHNSICEHOUSE! Which I should have just gone to in the begining! :)

What a fun-loving staff at this place! This is a great neighborhood pub with phenomenal drinks and food –I don’t even have to grocery shop anymore! They are always having fun activities also and giving back to the community — raising big bucks for Toys 4 Tots. They have events such as cookoffs and carnivals and a yearly Christmas party that is incredible with raffles and auctions. They have a pub crawl twice a year that is like going to Vegas(what happens on the crawl stays on the the crawl). Plenty of TV’s with all the packages, shuffleboard and good music — every staple of a neighborhood pub!

This place is fantastic. It’s got the best bartender in the world, Miss Bonnie! Come see her on M-W-F-Sat…and you are guaranteed a great smile, great service, and lots of laughs. They also have free food at this bar… lunch and dinner. And we are talking real, homemade food by the owners. They really take care of their people. From burger night on Monday to Fajita fridays to the best sloppy joe’s ever! They also have lots of great events: chili cookoffs, shrimp boils and Toys for Tots benefits. It’s never a dull weekend at the T.
