El Jalapeño

I came here for their salsa verde. It’s absolutely scrumptious. I usually make tacos at home (considering for less than $ 10 you can make enough to feed like 6 people), however, the times I’m too saucy to cook and find myself here, I haven’t been disappointed.

Not all jalapenos are created equal. I saw this new stand closer to my place of residence (thats fancy for home) and of course got excited expecting the same greatness as the Edgebrook location. I ordered the usual, tripa and pastor and drove home expecting to enjoy some delicious tacos. Well, in the words of some of my friends, it was aight. The tortillas were poorly warmed up, and the meats were not the same as the other stand. The tripa was not crispy nor flavorful and neither was the pastor. Even worse, just like the tortilla they were not warmed up enough. I know the review seems negative and it would merit fewer stars but they were still edible. Lucky for me, the Edgebrook location is only about 5 minutes away from this one, so I don’t mind the extra minute or two of a drive.
