The lady who works there, Beatriz, is the best sales person. She has been always very helpful.

As I have grown older, my taste for shoes(and clothing) is seemingly growing less generic. DJP shoes are more stylish than what you will typically find. I live in Austin and having visited DJP twice in Houston, I was lucky enough to meet Don and his wife there both times. The second time, he helped me personally, which is like Ralph Lauren fitting you for a suite. In 2 visits, the shoes I chose were Black Monk Straps, Cordovan Double Monk Straps, and Tan Boots with an Antiqued toe… love all of them. Importantly they also do not compromise comfort for style. Although I do not wear woman’s shoes, their selection is impressive… would definitely recommend.

This place is fun! I had never heard of Donald Pliner until some friends came into town and were super excited that we had a stand alone store. Walking in, you can tell this place doesn’t take itself too seriously. There is color everywhere and crazy rugs and furniture. Located in the heart of Highland Village, this store has been here for many year. You can get shoes, purses, accessories, etc… from this store and expect friendly and personable service. When I went in years ago, I bought a pair of shoes here, very nice and comfortable. Recently, I went here looking for a purse and found lots of fun stuff. The purses range from plain leather to bright jewel tones and there was even one made of cork! The super nice sales guy indulged us as one of my friends tried on some boots. We didn’t end up purchasing anything, but Donald Pliner will always be on my list of places to check out when in Highland Village. Friendly staff, fun products, and a southwestern themed(but not too over the top) interior make this place an easy shopping experience, especially for those of us who don’t like to shop.
