They don’t tell the costumers before hand that there is no return or refund policy, costumer service is trash, they won’t let you look around yourself they would be on ur head she won’t let you walk the would be you 24 7 also the place was very dirty and Customer service was very bad, it was very expensive as well.

My wife and I are going to a wedding in India next month and came here for advice on outfits for the ceremony.
We were handed endless items whilst my wife was trying things on and were constantly assured that the size was perfect (my wife’s size changed 4 times during our visit). We decided to leave and were still being sold too on the way out. The woman was very cold and short with us.
There are numerous other stores in the area that are worth your time. Avoid this place.

I visited the shop an evening after work for a semi formal dinner… after visiting several shops that day I settled on this one for a variety of reasons. First, the two ladies working the floor were really polite and professional. Out of all the shops I felt most comfortable there– they werent overly pushy or aggressive but rather helpful and courteous.
I took my time making my selection-​yes from the sale rack. The sales associate helped me to the dressing room and offered in house alterations– which were promised for the next day!
I thought their prices were more than fair for what I got– I got an entire outfit for under a bill. Also– they had a nice selections of accessories for me to choose from. I know that most outfits of the sort can be a but pricey however she made it very clear that she was there to do business and most importantly help her customers of all budget types :-)
All and all my first experience with this type of business was pleasent!

Definitely not my favorite store in the Hilcroft area for various reasons:
–The lady is pretty cold and can be pushy… and almost rude at times
–The clothes are overpriced
–The clothes really aren’t very nice, especially for the price
Went in to take a look and she basically forced me to try clothes on. She kept bringing all these not so nice suits telling me they were perfect for me. She seemed offended that I didn’t like them and kept pestering me to try more. It was so awkward trying to leave :/

It’s a lot about attitude and the attitude of the lady working here is unfortunately very poor. She seemed bothered that I wanted to try on the clothes… and when they didn’t fit, they would say things like «perfect match» without even asking me. ROFL. Some of the clothes were so tight, I was afraid it might rip if I coughed.
When I said I didn’t like it, the lady’s face looked like she just experienced the worst quote in her life… Like her happiness depended upon me purchasing something at the store. It was really creepy. Her attitude was just terrible.
Not only did I not buy something there, but I will tell people to steer clear of this place. I ended up spending $ 510 at another place down the street. Don’t waste your time here.

Decent selection, not too much inventory, look in the back room for the good stuff.
This establishment gets a 2 because of a lack of customer respect and service.
Any other Indian clothing store will go above and beyond to show you their selection, even pulling out items that you may not ask to pull out but that they see you eyeballing. THIS IS NOT THE CASE HERE.
During my last visit to Dolly’s (literally will be my last because I refuse to walk back inside), the owner herself was in a foul mood. I asked her to pull down an outfit from the wall to show me, and she asked me not to waste her time unless I was serious about buying something that day. Now, there was only one other customer in the shop, and I didn’t ask to see 100 outfits. I was dressed nicely as a client, and I let her know that I’d take my money elsewhere. Too bad she didn’t score the sale of the three outfits I bought that day elsewhere on Hilcroft.

This was the second store we went to in Houston while looking for items for our Indian-​themed wedding reception in summer 2009. Boy did we hit the jackpot!
This is where we found my husband’s outfit (sherwani/​pajama/​scarf) and shoes, and where we found my jewelry set (necklace/​earrings/​tikka as well as some coordinating bangles).
Dolly herself was there helping us, and she was super-​nice, and very helpful. She chided me for having ordered my outfit (choli suit) online already, but that’s to be expected, I guess.
The stuff we bought there wasn’t cheap, but well, we were expecting to spend hundreds of dollars on attire and accessories for our wedding day, as that’s kind of par for the course. Given that, I think that the items that we bought there were of high quality, so worth what we paid.
We looked great on our wedding day! Our guests were amazed at our transformations.
