One of the best pizzas made! Everything is fresh and the staff was helpful. Not much décor but I came in for the food.

We ordered a deep dish a few weeks back and as a person that lived in Chicago, it’s GOOD! When we placed our take-out order; the sales girl said it would take 45 mins for preparation(of course it’s deep dish)! once we got it home, initial observations, smells great(we got a sausage and spinach), it weighed heavy like a deep dish and topped just like Chicago style. Once we cut it, the layers were pretty impressive and as expected super cheesy. Overall we were really impressed and quite content with the pizza, only downside was the sausage didn’t great, we were expecting italian sausage, but it seemed like they were some pre-processed sausage. Our dough wasn’t cooked all the way through in the middle, but overall the pizza was done, spotty in a few places. We will be back and excited to have good pizza in the neighborhood!

Best pizza joint in Houston! My family and I stumbled across this place last night and ordered the deep dish and regular thick crust pizza. It is the best pizza we have had since moving to Houston 3 years ago! The dough, sauce, and cheese are the bomb. Snax is the man and makes you feel at home right from the get go. Don’t listen to the bad reviews about wait times or décor, come on, really? Décor? Are you going to the restaurant to stare at walls or have good conversation and eat good food? Food is worth the wait… I highly recommend this place.

We waited over 25mins for someone to acknowledge us while sitting at a table. My son even went to the cashier to ask for menus. The cashier stated someone would take our order at our table. The waiters came by twice to offer a free sample of a pizza at our table and twice I asked them to take my order… No one ever came back. Very unorganized… We just got up and left. Very disappointing…

Yum!!! First timer & this pizza is indeed delicious. I got the south side, one of the most popular ones. I highly recommend it!

My friends & I tried D’Marco’s for the first time tonight, and it was Awesome. We ordered both a thin crust & a deep dish. Since I had read online that the deep dish takes 45 minutes to bake, we called in & ordered a South Side deep dish by phone before we left for the restaurant. When we arrived, we ordered a thin crust & our drinks. Both types of pizza were Wonderful! Handmade crust, homemade Italian sausage & sauce… lots of really fresh veggies! We liked both the thin & the deep dish. Pizza was Fabulous, and we will definitely be back soon! We also received lots of attention from a charming guy who is a partner named Snacks. He stopped by several times to see if we were happy with our food! Adored him! This will be our new pizza place! Thanks Snacks!

The Chicago themed art work reminds me of the Windy City. Pizza was delicious. Staff was friendly. Clean ingredients digested easily. We will certainly return.

This is the only place in Houston that does right by Chicago thin-crust pizza. Both times, I’ve been very satisfied! Pizza and Service is on point. I will do everything I can to plug this establishment. Definitely Repping Chicago down here!!! Keep up the good work my dude. If you’re looking for real«Chicago Style» pizza, this is where you need to be. #RealTalk

The pizza was delicious! I haven’t had real deep dish since Unos. I also love the garlic bread. I also appreciate the customer service.

I highly recommend this fun and energetic pizzeria! Everything is made from scratch, and you can really tell the difference between this place and other places around town. The crust, sauce, and homemade sausage are amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your experience. We had the meatball sliders and the southside deep dish, and both were incredible. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been wanting to try this place out and finally had a chance to today and unfortunately we had a bad experience. We ordered a supreme regular pizza and a personal pepperoni pizza. The place was pretty dead around lunch time but it still took awhile for the pizza to come out. Our supreme pizza came out under cooked! The Italian sausage was still pink, not fully cooked all the way. The crust had a funny taste to it and we realized it was because it was under cooked! It had that sour dough mushy taste. Our waitress was super nice though and took the pizza back to show the cook and manager on duty. She told us that the main cook didn’t cook our pizza and it was the new guy who was in training! The Manager came by to apologize and offered us a 15% discount off our bill. We had a groupon deal that we told him we were going to use and then he said he couldn’t give us the discount anymore but would give us a coupon for 12in for $ 10 next time we came in. Um thanks but no thanks because we are not coming back for raw pizza. My husbands tummy has been feeling off since lunch and so did mine! Maybe it was just the thought of eating raw sausages! Anyways, maybe their deep dish is better but we don’t care to find out. The staff is great but until they work out their kinks, not sure this place will do well. I do hope this place gets better but we won’t be coming back to find out.

Can’t rave enough about how good the pizza is here! The deep dish is worth the wait and the closest Houston has to Chicago style pizza. The south side job pizza is awesome too.

I would really give d’marcos Pizzeria 2.5 stars if I could. Located in the Energy Corridor, d’marcos is a pizza joint that opened up about two months ago. The interior resembles a sports bar as there are several large screen TV’s throughout the restaurant. Décor is lacking, the restaurant is pretty simplistic. It’s located in a shopping center so there’s plenty of parking. They are known for their Chicago-style pizza which you don’t see very often in Houston. For those who haven’t made the trek to Chicago for some authentic Chicago-style pizza, it’s basically a deep dish pizza with a healthy dose of marina poured on top of the cheese. I got a small which is definitely enough to last you three meals as the pizza is so thick. The pizza is made with natural ingredients with no additives but my experience was meh. Pizza wasn’t bad by any means but nothing to take it over the top. My friend had a thin crust pizza with Canadian bacon. I tried a slice and wasn’t a big fan. On the drinks side, they have Maine Root soda which is a nice touch. The service was friendly. They charged us for an extra drink but it didn’t seem intentional and they resolved the issue promptly. If you’ve never had Chicago-style pizza it’s worth the trip for the experience.

I went last night. It was OK the sauce was good the chicken sausage was good. The pepperoni was cheap quality and the other ingredients other than onions in the south side were few and far between. The major disappointment was the crust the flavor was not buttery enough and the consistency was unlike any other deep dish pie I have ever had. I must agree with other reviews I don’t think this is the best example of deep dish. I’m going to Chicago Italian beef on this weekend. Let’s see how that goes.

It’s been a month since I’ve been to d’Marcos. Tonight I called ahead(it’s raining and no one is in here) and got our pizza when we sat down. It was good. Service was good but I can’t rank 4 or 5 yet until I see consistency. Th deep dish rocks tho!

We called in our order for the deep dish knowing it took 45min to cook. The pizza was good. Looked just like the picture I will be back. I give 3 stars because the wine list is too limited.

Really kind of disappointed. I was hoping we’d finally gotten a real Chicago deep dish pizza place on the far west side. Ordered the 12″ meat overload for pick up Friday night. What was handed to me looked very little like the pictures on the site or what a real Chicago style deep dish should be. The crust was charred, burned to a black, inedible crisp all around the edges and for about a half inch down. Then the dough was piled far too thick underneath — more than an inch in the corners and close to a half inch thick on the bottom. It ought to be about a quarter inch all the way around and up the sides. This was undercooked and doughy. And they seem to be skimping on the toppings. The pictures show a pie filled to the top as a deep dish should be. The one I paid more than $ 32 for had little more than what you’d find on a Papa Johns or Pizza Hut special, about a third of what it should have been. Maybe they’re trying to save money. If so, that’s not the way to do it. The place seems unfinished and the staff untrained. In fact the kitchen crew looked like it might have just been recruited from a southeast side soul food or bbq joint. A woman carrying a baby on her shoulder seemed to be in charge and no one else seemed to know what he or she should be doing. I see from other reviews that some people had a great experience and, from the pictures on the web site, the owner obviously knows what a good pizza looks like. It just REALLY wasn’t there when I tried it. Maybe needs to get his act together a little better and run the place more professionally. It would be great to have a dependable deep dish place out west.

Just tried d’marcos today for the first time for lunch. My guitarist/friend/neighbor went with me. He’s Italian and from Chicago. He and I both shared the 10″ deep dish and LOVED it. Best deep dish I’ve had in Houston. Really. D’marco is actually who waited on us so service wasn’t an issue. We started with the garlic bread. Also awesome. I still ended up taking half the pie home in a box. Delicious, rich, dense. A true, authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza. I’m a fan and will most definitely be back.
