Good value for a family with 2 children. Indoor and outdoor pool(only during the summer) included. Free group classes if you’re interested in trying them out.

Really no complaints about this YMCA. The facilities are nice and everything is kept pretty clean. They have a lot of programs for the kids, we have taken advantage of swim lessons as well as their basketball league. If you want to work out they also have child care for the little ones so they can have some fun while you work out. The staff has always been nice.

I have found this facility to be far from accommodating to families. They say they are a family facility and meet the needs of those with a Christian faith, but I have been verbally accosted by faculty members there. I am frustrated with the child center that has very little to keep the children happy. Then the facility closes at hours when the elementary school in the area let out, so I pick up my kids and go to the y, but I can’t workout because the child center is closed. Not very family oriented.

Overall I’m happy with my experience, but frustrated with the indoor basketball courts as they are almost always occupied with ppl playing tennis, doing some kind of aerobics, or something else. There’s three full courts and basketball players are forced to crowd one court. The results are frustrating. There are several sit and be fit rooms in this building, this shouldn’t be one of them.

I really like this gym. It is huge! The first time I came the parking lot was full, so I thought it was going to be crowded inside, but it wasn’t! They have several workout rooms with machines so everyone can spread out. That is really important to me. They offer several classes and an indoor and outdoor pool. Really anything you could want is here. The staff is friendly and unobtrusive. I’ve been a member of lifetime and fitness 19, but this YMCA is definitely my favorite. It doesn’t feel intimidating

If you’re looking for a great place to have a workout or swim with the family, or maybe even play some basketball, well you’re in for a fitness paradise, my friend. This YMCA, the fourth largest in the nation, has been my fitness home for the last 6 years. I really enjoy the weight room and machines they have to work your muscles on. I do all my sets in there and see fellow high school buddies working out as well. All the bench presses and other machines I personally love and my other friends love it too. It’s a good way to build muscle. The indoor track upstairs is good too. I love to walk run and jog upstairs to get faster. It’s located just above the basketball courts and a good view of them, just saying. The basketball courts are great to play a game with friends on and is sometimes used for group classes. There’s three courts and they are all nice to play basketball or volleyball when you feel you could play a good game with friends. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools are good for a swim, especially with the water slides on the outside pool. They also have a kiddie pool for your little ones. I personally love to swim here because the lifeguards are friendly and the pool is clean. They also have a daycare for your little ones and a place called The Spot for kids who want to hang out while the parents go do a nice workout. The Spot can be considered for young teenagers and kids older than 10. I went once and loved it so maybe they will too. This is my go to place for a workout at least 3 times a week. This really is a nice atmosphere to work out in and a nice place to keep your kids having fun while you’re doing a fun and nice workout. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good workout. Membership there is worth it, so I would say get one! You won’t regret it.

I spend my mornings at the Y. From the water aerobics, to Ripped, to Yoga of all levels, there is something here for you. There is Active Older Adult programs that are out of this world. You’d have to visit and get involved to believe how awesome this place is. There’s a community garden. There’s a lovely walking trail. There’s fishing at the little pond. Indoor and outdoor water aerobics. Games, field trips for the older adults, potluck, reading clubs, the child care is amazing, so I’m told. I have met so many wonderful people here. We sit in the coffee area and visit til it’s time for another class. There’s a little café run by Santa Fe Flats, where you can grab something to eat or drink. The staff is great, friendly, and competent.

My whole family loves this place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beats all the gyms with the grunting ‘roid heads staring into mirrors.

I seriously have a complete addiction to this YMCA. If you can get over the price of membership(it increased AGAIN this year), it’s better than any gym. The facility in impeccably clean. The equipment is hardly ever broken and there is a huge variety so you shouldn’t have to wait to get on a treadmill. The weight room is large and stocked. And goodness, the variety of classes is awesome! If you can, try out the M W Yoga class with Liz; it is the most relaxing yoga class I’ve ever taken and Liz is a fantastic instructor. Try to avoid coming here from 9 – 11 in the morning and 6 – 7:30ish at night; super crowded during those times.

Now that New Years resolutions are being broken it is easy to find space at the Y. Great selection of classes and lots of equipment to utilize for getting in shape. There is also a small café for after workout snacks.

If you are a looking for something fun and health-conscious that the whole family can do, check out the Cypress Creek YMCA. One Y membership will allow you to use any of their locations, but this one is probably the best one for families. In addition to the obligatory strength-training equipment and aerobic activities, there’s also an indoor AND outdoor pool, classes for kids and child care for the little ones. The facility is very clean, even in the locker room. The environment is very friendly and accommodating for families, young and old. My only complaint is in the fitness machine rooms. The staff are young people, and somebody made the mistake of giving them comfortable chairs to sit in. They don’t mind helping you as long as they don’t have to give up those chairs. My advice to the management, take away the chairs. This is a FITNESS club after all.
