Flew into Houston IAH Airport, called the hotel and they had a shuttle there to pick us up quite quickly. Nice and close to the airport. Front desk service was great. I believe her name was Lindsey or Leslie(something like that). She was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was as to be expected with your typical breakfast included hotel. I will say they did have real dishes not paper and flimsy utensils so that was nice.

Horrible experience. I booked via phone. My reservation was incorrect as I «was a day early». The front desk clerk wasn’t very friendly at check in. Seems like I inconvenienced her by being there«a day early». She adjusted the mess up and set me to a room. I booked a 1 bedroom studio suite non smoking. I got a regular room. I went back down. She said«well I adjusted the rate» I check, $ 20 on a 3 night stay! Unacceptable! Not believing her, I checked online and called hotel direct. Both shoes available 1 bedroom suites. The room stunk like mold and the bathroom could have been cleaner. My first time every at a Country Inn and it will be my last!

Very dissatisfied with this hotel. I booked a non-smoking room, but they overbooked the hotel and put me in a smoking room. It stank and now I’m sick. Even though I checked in around 5, before everyone had checked in, I’m sure, they would not change my room. I know this would have just put someone else in the same position. I really feel this was an unacceptable substitution.

Once we landed at IAH on 8÷29÷14, we used the courtesy phone to call for our free shuttle and within about 15 minutes we were on our way. This was a great overnight hotel stay. Our room wasn’t quite ready but within 20 minutes of checking in, we were taking our suitcases to our room. Plenty of food choices within walking distance. Rooms were very clean. Great breakfast and always plenty of yummy free cookies at the desk. Highly recommended!

I booked this hotel through Priceline. We arrived at the hotel and were told they only had smoking rooms available. That was unacceptable, however, neither the hotel staff nor Priceline were willing to make it right. I ended up paying for a second hotel. I will not fall for another Country Inn and Priceline scam.

Quiet, older hotel with a lingering smell in the hall. The front desk clerk was actually snoring when I went to check out and I had to bang to wake her up. The wifi is totally useless.

Look behind comfort inn to get to this hotel. The lobby area is large enough to accommodate a small crowd. The check in staff was friendly. This was a priceline deal and they put me in a smoking room though. Not sure how booked they were but somewhat disappointing as the entire 4th floor smelled like an ashtray. The room was not dirty per se but signs of negligence abound… Like the two washcloths hanging over the shower rod when I got there. Then there was the sticky residue of what I only hope was soda on the night stand. The smell of smoke was much fainter in the room than in the hallway which was a plus. Did not have time for breakfast. For the price, it was a reasonable place to sleep before heading to the airport in the morning but probably would try a nicer hotel if I stayed any longer.

I just woke up from the worst night of sleep ever. And I’m old, so that’s saying a lot. This location, just down the road from IAH, is hard to find, as it’s tucked behind another property. Its convenient location becomes a moot point when you can’t find the dang place. As I type this, I am sitting in between the flat-screen TV and minifridge/microwave on my right, and the mold-covered window on my left. Yes, the window(which overlooks an overgrown strip of land) has white mold/mildew on the outside, obscuring the glass. Ugh. The wifi here is fast and speedy, and he bed is just… average. The tub needs a good scrubbing, as the bottom has a black hue that’s just a bit… gross. The continental breakfast was OK… some fruit, some danishes and bagels, a wafflemaker and some hot dishes. Bulk yogurt in a bowl… gross. They had run out of unimportant things like plates and napkins, but soon replenished them. No styrofoam here, just ceramic… which is good if you want to dine in the dining room, but causes a bit of a problem if you want to take your breakfast back to the room and avoid the four kids screaming downstairs. I can see the outside of the hall light around the edge of the door — not a great seal, so depending on your room location and how full the hotel is, pack your earplugs. Not my favorite place, but sometimes price wins out. I’ve stayed at Country Inns before; this one leaves much to be desired.

If you’re ever in need of a decent hotel in the North Houston area(around Bush Intercontinental), you’ll do alright staying at the Country Inn & Suites on JFK Blvd. The hotel sits off of JFK, right behind the Comfort Inn & Suites, so «finding» it the first time can be a little tricky. But, the friendly front desk staff makes a great first impression when you walk in. The rooms, also make a good impression. Yeah, this is an older hotel, and it shows, but the rooms are clean, comfortable and fair-priced. If you happen to get one of the rooms with a king-sized bed, you get a microwave and refrigerator in your room(a plus if you’re staying a few nights). The free internet service is available in both wired and wireless which, I think, is a bonus. So many hotels offer only wireless and the signal degrades SIGNIFICANTLY the farther away your room is from the front lobby. The really big DOWN side to this hotel(really the only thing I can complain about), believe it or not, is the coffee. Think about it, coffee drinkers. How much do you depend on that morning cup to set the tone for the day? Well, don’t count on it happening well here. The coffee is BAD! The rest of the free«continental» breakfast is on par with other places — but the coffee kills it miserably. We ended up going across the street to the Kettle(review coming) restaurant for breakfast. Hey, it’s expensed so why not? So, if you want modern, chic and better ammenities, there are nicer/better choices along that JFK strip, but for the budget traveler who wants a nice room in a(surprisingly) quieter location close to the airport, stay at the Country Inn & Suites.
