Came here all excited about the Instagram post they were making posting all the great foods and get here Saturday only to find out they waitress said, «no, we don’t sell all that on the weekends, desserts either» Wow, ok. Disappointed. Drove out here all excited, paid for parking, walked in to bad news. I don’t even live down in Houston but took the drive because all the pics on the company Instagram page looked amazing but they didn’t have any of the choices I wanted so be aware that they have a «weekend menu» and it’s not going to have the delicious looking gumbo they post of the desserts they post either. About 10% gratuity is added to the to go order, the music is super load that u have to scream at your date to communicate and we sat at the opposite end from the DJ booth. The food prices are up there so don’t complain about the prices if u ordered from the menu anyway.

Caddy Shack has made a brilliant business move by bringing in new chefs who are trendy and social media savvy… this combination has brought new life to this business. With change comes growing pains, and Caddy is going through some pains now with parties that keep the bar crowded but slow service, and very pricey menu items at times. But, the food is AMAZING, if you have the coins to pay for it. The smothered potato is worth the drive from Sugarland that I complete almost weekly, the turkey legs are melt off the bone succulent, the Kobe burger… i don’t even have words for how delicious it is. However, with an ever changing menu item prices aren’t always known off hand. The smothered potato will run you $ 20, but its large enough to share and worth the investment. I’ve been coming to Caddy the last couple months since they brought the new chef’s in and I’m very pleased with the progress that is happening, I would just like the menu prices to settle down a wee bit :-)

I must say that the turkey leg is very good! I’ve eaten a lot of places and willing to pay the price for great food. I will say that I definitely think the price for a regular turkey leg $ 10 – 12 vs a stuffed turkey leg $ 20 was ridiculous. The only difference was boudin stuffing. And it wasn’t a generous amount considering the upcharge. Pros: great turkey leg, was greeted upon entrance. Cons: overpriced, very loud music, and no follow up on to-go orders. I literally watched my food sit packaged for 5 mins b4 I could get some to bag it. This place does have potential, but would like more attentive waitstaff and fair prices.

We stopped in for dinner; Lynn met us at the door. He recommended the stuffed turkey leg so my husband and I ordered it. It was stuffed with seasoned rice. It was amazing… cooked perfectly. My husband is not big on eating turkey legs, but he couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing. It was laid back with good music. We definitely recommend this restaurant to others and we will be coming back.

The only reason they are receiving a single star is because I have to. We waited 30 minutes before a nice gentleman in a dark shirt asked if we had been helped. Needless to say before the gentleman came up to us, I went up to the waitress who was helping the table next us and asked where do we place our orders and she said at the bar. I witness the on duty manager worry more about a dispute rather than attending to incoming customers. If I am going to pay that much for a meal, all I am saying is please have some customer service. The young Hispanic gentlemen should run that place, he’s the only one who seemed upset that no one assisted us.

First off let me tell you this. The food here is pretty good. My wife and I had the pasta and a stuffed turkey leg with boudin. Now let me get to the part where I knock off 2 stars. 1) music is way too loud for Saturday lunch And 2) price point on food is ridiculously too high. My wife and I eat out quite a bit. The prices really do not reflect the good that you are getting. My wife had the pasta and that was $ 20. One of our favorite places go eat pasta is at place on westheimer that makes their pasta fresh everyday in house and their price point in between 12 and 16. $ 20 for whipping cream, different cheeses, spinach, shrimp, chicken and bagged bow tie noodles it’s just crazy. The turkey was good but once again $ 20 for the turkey leg stuffed with boudin AND that’s it. They should add at least one side the the meal to justify the 20 dollar price point. Turkey leg stuffed with boudin should be 13 Cajun pasta Alfredo should be around 15 Everything on the menu should be knocked down 5 to 8 dollars and honestly they would sell twice as much. Very cool atmosphere and vibe. Good service. Music being too loud and prices were my only two issues. –notorious foodies– (Sorry if I spelled anything in error. I am on my iPhone at 630am)

And say hello Lynn, he is the owner and that term I use lightly because he is also working the kitchen and the bar!!! This is exactly what Houston needed!!! EXCELLENT! I finally got the chance to get the stuffed potato at The Turkey Leg Hut! Maaaaaaan… creamy, homemade Alfredo Sauce, huge shrimp, smoked chicken and spinach come together for a little taste of Heaven here on Earth. I won’t even get into the turkey leg as they deserve a review all their own! This potato left me satisfied and happy to break my diet with no regrets :-). The owner is friendly and kind, checking with each customer to make sure they are thoroughly satisfied while making sure the kitchen keeps churning out its delectable delights. Go. Eat! Enjoy!

Soooooooo. I’ve been to this place tooooo many times to count since being opened under new management recently. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great as well! It’s not your typical bar food. I enjoy the vibe and energy going on there as well. Danny was an amazing bartender as well two lemon drop shots and I was. I will definitely keep coming at least once a week to satisfy my addiction ! Thanks Kia & Lynn for a great place to come have good food good drinks and be in good company

The atmosphere is positive and inviting. Even though it is always busy the owners and workers make sure you’re more than taken care of. This is a new business so there will be kinks to work out, but their food clearly speaks for itself. It is as good as it looks. There truly nowhere but up from here. Great job guys!

After seeing several pictures on Instagram, my husband and I decided to give it a try. Upon arriving we stood in the middle of the restaurant for close to 10 minutes not knowing whether to seat ourselves, order at the bar or exactly what to do as we didn’t see any waitresses or hostesses. We sat and were shortly greeted by who we suspect was the owner. We were asked what we wanted to eat but weren’t shown a menu. It was strongly suggested we order a turkey leg(I only think of carnivals when I hear turkey leg). I suggested the baked potato to my husband as I saw it posted on Instagram and the owner suggested we share as the portions were ample. We declined and ordered a burger so as to taste different items. Although there is a full bar I was unable to order a glass of wine and my husband unable to order a Long Island ice tea. Our food which arrived at different times where good size portions but not enough to share. The food wasn’t bad. I can’t comment on prices as we never received a check or receipt. We gave the waitress $ 100 and the change was $ 47. Somewhat pricey for a baked potato, hamburger, slice of cake and water.

I went here for a trap n brunch a few Sunday’s ago and had a great time! They served brunch until 3 then crawfish. The food was okay(reason for the 4 stars) but the staff, vibes, drinks, and music were great! We’ll definitely be back!

Depending on who’s working service can be slow(took almost 10 minutes to get 2 drinks when the bar was empty), and food is «okay.» It’s normal bar food, burgers, fries, etc. but nothing to write home about. There are other bars close by(walking distance) with better service and a bigger drink menu.

This is a HIDDENGEM of a sports bar on Washington Ave! They have tons of TVs that are located in great places for watching, unlike so many sports bars where you have to twist to see a screen. They have a full bar(liquor, beer, and wine), with very reasonable prices. The food is also surprisingly great. The menu seems random at first, combination cajun and bar food, but once you meet the chef you will realize it is because he only includes items that are his specialties! Most surprising is the HUGE patio with BBQ pit in the back! The perfect place for weeknight dinner and a beer OR enjoying the nice outdoor weather day drinking on the weekends.

This is the 3rd time I’ve been, and let me just say… Holy…s***! The Brisket Sandwich(the house specialty) is AMAZING! And the real kicker? It’s $ 5! I consider myself something of a barbecue connoisseur — and this is a truly great brisket… The drinks have always been strong, and the service great… Don’t let that one 2 star review deter you(really? 2 stars because it was empty, and you showed up after the kitchen closed? You even said the service and drinks were good!).

The food here is amazing. I came here late one night with my man to grab a few beers and the chef brought us a few ribs to try. They were so delicious and fell right off the bone. So delicious that we went back the very next day and ordered the ribs and the boudin balls. Simply amazing BBQ and Cajun food. That being said, the place seems like it’s having an identity crisis. Nothing from the appearance on the outside leads one to believe their food would be any good. When I see a simple«bar and grill», my assumption is that it’s «bar food» aka frozen mozzarella sticks, mediocre buffalo wings, etc. Additionally, the sign is not lit up at night so it’s very easy to pass up. The name Caddyshack also doesn’t seem to reflect a sports bar with excellent BBQ. The interior has numerous TVs for easy viewing no matter your seat. The lighting is too bright in my opinion for a sports bar atmosphere. I know that sounds like a silly complaint but I think it would really lend to more people enjoying themselves and staying longer. All in all, I enjoy coming here. The staff is always friendly, it’s close to home, TVs for game watching, excellent food… I just hope they can make a few changes here so they can attract more diners, as both times we’ve been there it’s been empty.

Mixed reviews… I stopped twice a year or so ago and it was pretty quiet, but the bartender poured a good drink so I had a couple and left. Few months back I stopped in about 11 to see if the kitchen was still open. Again the place was empty, but the person behind the bar said they were closed. So I left. Never saw many folk when I drove by… I guess that’s partly why they have recently changed the name.
