I used to like this place. Went back today and there were different people behind the counter. The homemade buns were still the same and just as good, but the burger and fries were greasy. Would rather go to Whataburger.

Here on business and was looking for a good burger found this place. Fresh buns fresh not frozen meat. Juicy meat on top of it. There was great flavor. I loved the self topping bar. Nice people. Friendly atmosphere.

Fast service, great burgers and fries with your choice of condiments. Toasted buns added just the right crispiness to the burger’s insides. If you’re looking for a good burger joint, don’t pass this place up!

I love love love Burger Texas! I eat here almost everyday. The people here are very friendly their food is delicious and the kid that works behind the counter always greets me with a smile and takes good care of me. I usually get the four ounce burger with bacon and cheese its always cooked perfect never dry the buns are fresh and the bacon is thick and crispy. Their prices are reasonable considering the quality you get is comparable to Fuddruckers. I will continue to eat burger text on a daily basis.

2^nd time I’ve been here and their burgers have been, so far, great. I had the mushroom burger the first time and today I had the bacon burger. I pay attention to the way patties are seasoned and the quality of meat and this place does both very well. So they make your basic burger and from there, you add whatever toppings you want I the side, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos, mayo… It’s like a build it yourself. That would be the only reason I don’t give it 5 stars. It’s not very big and never gets packed I think because of location. They have a TV in one area and a radio both playing local stations so it’s whatever you feel like being around. They’re family-​owned and make it really comfortable for their patrons. Definitely worth at least one visit!

First time i had there bulgogi burger also know as teriyaki burger~~~ best value for the money u spend on and other place!!! U should go!

Best Bulgogi burger ever!
Bulgogi is the Korean style grilled barbecue. You should try this. The owner makes fresh bun everyday so it makes the hamburger more delicious. I’ve got the Bulgogi burger and my hubbie got a double cheese burger. We really enjoyed it and finished them all. We are sure we will go there again. Also, there’s no traffic on Brittmoore rd.

Excellent burgers and fries. Most underrated hamburger in town. I could put a pic of me with this restaurant, you’d understand.

Burger wasn’t seasoned well. Lettuce was scarce and cheap. I didn’t like to décor of this place. Old and out dated. I will not be returning.

Good food. Love the non chain places which Houston lacks. Would have given them more then 3 stars if cleaner.

This Burger Tex has been here longer than I have worked in this area, about 7 years. It’s a small burger joint with a teeny kitchen, out of which comes some pretty tasty sandwiches. The place doesn’t look like much but these owners know what they’re doing.
Buns are always fresh and they stick them on the cooker so they’re just barely crispy. Everything is made to order, and they serve all the standard burgers: mushroom, avocado, bacon, or all three (for a price)! Cheese is not included but it can be added for a small upcharge. The flavor is good, and they’re juicy and drippy and messy, just like a burger should be. Fries are the crinkle cut kind you can find in any grocery store freezer aisle, but they add a seasoned salt to the fries that I would probably be content just eating straight from the shaker.
Order your burger combo at the counter (it comes with the crack fries and a refillable soda), then wait for your number to be called. Once you get your sandwich, there’s a station for you to add your veggies and condiments, so if you want extra mayo, load it up!
All in all, good, solid burger place that is quick and convenient.

Bulgogi burger at Burger Tex was very impressive. The meat was marinated very well with traditional korean sauce and each bite of the burger was priceless! Definitely recommend the homemade bulgogi burger and steamy thick fat fries that they serve here. Love it!
