Unique, touchscreen ordering process. The touchscreen takes you through the steps of building your burger and then you get to pick if you want fries and drink with that. After you go through the motions of ordering you hit«done» and your ticket spits out. You then take the ticket to the cashier and she rings you up. Now you wait for a good 10 minutes or longer for your meal to be ready. The wait is probably the worst part of the experience. I wasn’t in a rush, though, so it didn’t really bother me. But, it was also empty when I went so, I’m kind of curious how much longer the wait is when there are more people. The burger, itself, was pretty good. It wasn’t amazing or anything. I mean, they used a frozen patty. The buns were great, though. Nice, big, and fluffy. That was the best part, definitely better than your typical fast food chain. Ok, so my burger was simple: cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo. See, now I don’t base my burger ratings on the various toppings that are offered, or unique combinations of the toppings, but rather on how all of the flavors blend in my mouth. In this case I’m basing my review on how the bun, meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo commingled. My verdict? It was a nice, old-fashioned, sloppy burger. Plenty to enjoy here, but not for somebody who is looking for something carefully crafted. Great burger joint for people who are sloshed, looking for something to shove down the gullet. This place is in a campus cafeteria, though, so I’m pretty sure there won’t be many drunks coming here during the hours of operation. But if you are, and this place is open, go for it. Oh, and the curly fries were soggy and the service wasn’t that great but it didn’t bother me none.

So slow… I like the build-your-own burger idea, but from concept to actual consumption takes way too long. The french fires are a turkey shoot as they do not cook those to order and will serve them cold. If I have plenty of time and no one else is in line(and I mean no one), then I will eat here. The burgers are good if you have the time.

They take a very LONG time do get your order ready. Be prepared to wait 10 mins for it. The food is very good, and is always up to the level it should be. Curly fries are also great!

I remember the day. It was quite ordinary in fact. My math class just ended and I could feel my stomach rumbling signaling it was lunch time. So I headed over to the Satellite to purchase a filling hamburger and fries from the restaurant«Burger Studio.» I placed my order through the interactive touch screen computer system and proceeded with payment. My number was called and I picked it up. As I made my way to find vacant seating, I could smell the sweet stench of steaming hot hydrogenated oil eminating from the bag. I sat down, ripped open the brown paper containing my treasures, grabbed the entrée and placed it into my mouth. I clamped down, began chewing, and it happened. Something tasted peculiar, my mouth continued to chew, the mysterious subject became more apparent as time progressed. I spit it out and viewed the inexplicable monster. A luminous golden lock of weave taunted me angrily with it’s presence.

When you think of inventive ways to grab a burger, the last place you’d expect to find this type of place at is on campus. Burger Studio isn’t you’re typical burger place. Instead, they take the process of ordering a burger and turn it into an art. And guess who the artist is, you! To place your order, they have two touch screen TVs with all the toppings and combos you can think of. Placing you’re order can be a little fun the first two times but after that, it just seems to add an unnecessary hassle for someone looking for a quick bite. Also, a lot of the better toppings are extra here which can be a bit of a downer since the prices are already slightly more expensive than the other near by eateries. However, if you have the money to burn and the time to give, then eating here is actually not that bad. I came here and ordered the turkey burger because I heard from a friend that it was pretty decent. So like a true Unilocaler, I had to make it all the way with a curly fry combo. All seemed to be running smooth, after about a 10 minute wait(turkey isn’t exactly their popular item so it was made fresh), my food was finally ready! I loaded up my soda and was finally ready to see what this place was about. The burger was spot on — definitely something I would order again, however, the fries! Oh, no. The fries!!! They were no where close to being good. They were all soggy so I just ate a few and threw the rest away. Imagine how heartbroken I was to have to throw away food! Overall, Burger Studio provides a unique experience to campus goers and is a refreshing change from the standard fast food we have on campus. While the fries weren’t too great and the burgers only come well done, I still see myself coming here. The staff can be a little uninviting at times but luckily I don’t go there to mingle with the staff. If you’re unsure what to eat on campus today, give this place a try.

Great burgers here! I love the fact that you can dress & invent your own burger. There are so many different options to choose from; toppings & add-on’s you would never think of! My favorite burger would have to be the Studio Mushroom Burger with the add-on of a fried egg. Deelish! Not a fan of onions, but I’ve heard from friends that the caramelized onions are great on the burgers. Definitely one of the best places to eat during your visit to the Satellite. Theo only downfall about this place is that it gets really crowded and the line gets kind of long.

In Zen and the Art of Happiness, sometimes the worst thing that happens to you can sometimes turn out to be the best thing, and that certainly was the case with my lunch today. I did not bring my lunch today, because for the last three Fridays there has been free food tempting me all over my office. Today? Nothing. So, we headed into the Satellite thinking we were going to grab Taco Bell(meh), when we spotted this place, brand spanking new where some other grill-type place used to be. Have you ever had a sandwich at Buc ee’s? If so, the ordering process will be a cinch for you. You order on a touch screen. Choose whatever burger you want, or combo(combos come with fresh-cut fries, salad with ranch, or seasoned curly fries and a drink), and then choose your fixings. In addition to standard olé burger toppings, you have a choice of a number of cheeses, sauteed mushrooms, carmelized onions, grilled red peppers, banana peppers, and jalapenos, as well as ranch, blue cheese, barbecue sauce, and A1, to name a few. Two combos came out to a little over $ 17 for us. Yes, there are cheaper eats on campus, but it really was delicious and fast. Probably the best place to get a burger on campus. Cons: The cashier wasn’t too sweet. Also, they left off my hubby’s mushrooms and onions, but he wasn’t mad because he didn’t pay extra for those. More Pros: The veggie burger was awesome. Also, of all the toppings the only one you have to pay for is cheese, which is 69 cents. The Verdict: Happy to have another veggie option in the Satellite, and another place around to get a good burger. It was even better than the mini-Chili’s.
