Servic was very good for us. Pasta was way too spicy and almost inedible with heat. Found it to be too bar like inside, very loud for a wine cellar. The acoustics did not help it to be romantic or intimate. Outside might be nice, but in Houston it I’ll be too hot in late June for that. Expected better for price.

We sat down had an expensive bottle of wine. We ordered an appitizer, things seemed to be going well. All of a sudden the seating lady came up and took away our menus! So we were stuck with our wine and app, so the weenie staff has no guts to talk us into a meal or maybe some other reason?

This is our favorite local restaurant! The service is always friendly and attentive. The food is wonderful! I think their filet is much much better than Perry’s and less expensive too! The pizza is delicious, their fish specials are amazing. Such a great variety to choose from! The waiters are wonderful at recommending excellent wine as well. It is so nice to have a place to dine outside with live music and without constant traffic noise. We love it here!!!

I love Brix. I enjoy coming here and trying new wine and their fish specials. All of their wait staff is very good and very nice and always make my experience the best it can be, but I particularly love Tony as he always makes my trips special. I was here for my birthday this weekend and had a stellar bottle of wine that sells for about $ 20 more at Perry’s. It was chilled to perfection and the steaks and risotto were incredible. I will be back very soon.

I’ve been to Brix a few times for office events; but I went for Happy Hour the other day and had the Brix Burger for the first time. It was DELISH! The carmalized onions, the burger was cooked perfectly, the TRUFFLEFRIES! Yes, I will be back to Brix for the burger this week, I think it’s the best burger in Tomball/Spring. Oh and they have a great wine selection too! :)

The waiter was very attentive and knowledgable about the wines. Food was great. Loved the outdoor seating on a warm yet low humidity evening. Our first visit and will definitely be back.

This place has a really nice Happy Hour with lots of choices that are very good for the price. The Truffle Fries are very good as well as the Shrimp Scampi Bruschetta ! The latter came with lots of garlic butter sauce & they offered to give us more bread for dipping which was great ! We also had the Mango Shrimp, Sliders and Pizzas. They have a large comfortable Patio with lots of great people watching. We had a large group of 8 ladies and our service was great. I definitely want to come back for Dinner.

Beautiful place both inside and out. The French onion soup is amazing and cheese plate is a must. Attentive staff, clean restrooms, but the patio is perfect.

We walked into BRIX around 7:30PM on Saturday night. They had a good number of patrons but I wouldn’t say they were packed. We were promptly seated and given menus. Our waiter came by and introduced himself and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. About 20 – 25 minutes later he came back and took our drink and appetizer orders. We ordered the Hummus and Shrimp Scampi Brushcetta. The Hummus was really nice. The Shrimp Scampi had way too much butter for my taste but everyone else loved it. The appetizer arrived quickly but we didn’t get our drinks until we reminded our waiter. After about 20 minutes the waiter came back out to tell us that they ran out of the cheese for their grilled cheese sandwich. It took another 30 minutes to get our main courses. I had the Carne pizza which was really amazing. By the time we received our main course it was 9:00PM. We tried to be positive since the waiter was very busy and working both the BRIX and BRIXOLOGY locations. They may have just been understaffed this day. In summary, the food was pretty good but the service wasn’t great.

«Brix» rhymes with«sticks» which is where this place is located and its quality reflects that. There truly is something for everyone on the wine list from big spenders to more conservative drinkers; old to new world so this is a great introduction to the restaurant. After that, not so much. They follow the 90’s suburbia script of «more is better» so you pay twice as much for gigantic portions that no one can finish. The menu description is limited so you may find yourself with a dish containing ingredients you find personally objectionable. One of us had a burger; the bun arrived cold and untoasted. Another ordered a vegetarian dish that was tasteless mush which they tried to mask with garlic aioli. The pappardelle was good, just massive. The brussels sprouts were limp, mushy and flavorless — how does anyone screw up brussels sprouts anymore? The wait staff constantly tries to yank everything off the table from sharing plates to wine glasses with a couple of swallows left, which was very annoying. I won’t be back.

Let me just start off by saying, I understand trying to keep an establishment classy, but this place needs to understand their location. They are NOT in NYC. I walked in with my one year old and was told no kids are allowed inside. I do understand they’re trying to make it a pleasant dining experience. Since it was cold I asked to be put near a heat lamp which they did, but the table they put us at was too small. When I asked to put the tables together they said it was«against their policy» & that we could sit at the big table with no heat lamp. Then I asked politely if they had a high chair & the gentlemen rudely responded«we don’t do anything to accommodate children.» When we finally said I’ll finish my drink & leave they had«talked to the manager» & decided to put the tables together. The food and the wine was overpriced & mediocre. I’ve never been treated so poorly by an establishment. As an inner looper I will stay in my neighborhood with better food & more accommodating restaurants.

Came here for dinner and my group had a great time. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and she actually described the items better than the menu described them. We sat outside and the weather was perfect! I recommend trying out a wine flight if you’re into wine and pair it with your dinner. The flight comes with tree half glasses from a category. I had the Spinach and Mushroom cannolini, with a side salad! And my dessert was a pecan bread pudding with Nutella ice cream! Will be back!!! Oh and the waitress didn’t even get mad when we asked her to split the check

Gross. Table next to us apparently had a few too many. After the lady at the table next to us vomitted for the second time, we took it upon ourselves to move tables. No considerations were given to us, so we decided to leave for an establishment that still considers the contentment of its customers. Disappointing to say the least.

Oh, I likey me some Brix. I’ve been here several times and I’ve never been disappointed with service or food or wine or beer — or cigar! We’ve only been here on weekend evenings and sometimes there is live music playing in the courtyard right there in front of Brix. Now, we’ve always dined outside even though they do have inside seating. We’ve been inside to use the restrooms and the inside looks very nice. And the restrooms are nicer than Bucees! Yes, hard to believe I know. I like the live music in the courtyard. Sometimes Jazz, sometimes pop, sometimes oldies. Something for everyone. Heard some Marvin Gaye — What’s Going On, and Earth Wind and Fire — September! Yeah baby. It wasn’t Marvin or EWF there actually, rather some guy pretending to be them. Very enjoyable. I’ve been most impressed with the wait staff. We often times have questions about the wines and the waiters/waitresses seem to possess the knowledge one would come to expect in a sommelier, not a waiter. Nice touch. We’ve also had questions about cheeses and they know their cheeses too. I consider the menu to be quite extensive and varied for a wine bar. This is more than just«bar food.» The only knock I really have is some of their prices seem a tad high. Not outrageous, but a little high for some of the menu items. I suspect rent in Vintage Park ain’t cheap. We like Brix and it’s our go-to wine bar.

Tried to go there for lunch with a friend. Past experiences had been good so I was happy to spend a Friday afternoon there for lunch. I arrived and was told that children are not allowed inside. Instead I was told I can sit outside with my 3 week old infant in 100 degree weather. News flash folks — you opened a restaurant in a family environment and families typically consist of a child or more. I could understand restricting children after a certain time in the evening but come on — a Friday afternoon? Keep it. There are many other options within the Vintage that welcome customers of all ages.

Wife and I went to Brix for the first time last night. We were expecting to be sat outside, and were pleasantly surprised at how nice the inside was when we were sat in the newly-expanded area they purchased from the previous tapas restaurant that closed. The waitress was very nice and knowledgable of the menu and wines. My wife ordered a featured wine flight and I tried a beer flight. Both were very good and interesting. We ordered the White Pizza and the Brix burger. The burger was very big, my wife and I split it. The blue cheese and Carmelites onions took it over the top. The burger itself was cooked perfectly. The truffle fries it came with were great. We were only able to have one slice of the pizza since we were full after splitting the burger, but it was great as well. Shrimp arugula and two kinds of cheeses was very different, but it was really good. The dough/crust were perfect. Overall we had a very good experience, I think this would have been a five star review if the prices were lower. I am actually not complaining about the pricing, because it is justified. I just don’t think this can be a regular spot to visit because you probably won’t leave a dinner for two without spending $ 80 – 100.

So far just having a wine flight. Steelhead is ordered for dinner and hopefully better than the wine I am trying. The flight of Malbecs were given in the wrong glasses and seem too young to be served for the price on. menu. Could be because they were just opened and not properly ariated. No oppty to swirl the richness of the flavors to my nose or mouth. But I am visiting from a wine area in the pacific NW and we take our wine very seriously there. Ok just had the dinner. It was a hint too fatty rich but the Steelhead over bacon risotto was delicious. Steelhead was prepared almost perfectly. A hint too much salt. But hey being from PAC nw we are weird that way. Risotto was almost perfect. A hint crunchy. But still was delish. Pricing was high but fair for the prepared dish. Just wasn’t happy with wine presentation or two of the three wine selections.

This place made me feel cozy. It was a rainy and cold Friday night. Our first couples night away from our baby in months. It was 10 pm and they close at 10:30, which I saw on the door. I walked in and said, oh you close at 10:30? We’ll just go. The woman who greeted us said, it’s not 10:30…come in, sit. I loved that she persuaded us to stay. It was relaxing, and comfortable inside. I loved that they had all of their wine on a ipad menu. You could peruse the list and add things to your«Consideration» list and then go back and look at the differences between them. Our server was helpful and knowledgable. We ordered the cheese plate and she helped us pick out which ones were the best. I highly recommend the drunken goat cheese. I normally don’t love goat cheese but it was firmer than most and perfect. It went perfectly with the bottle of red blend we chose. We stayed until 11 without ever so much as a word from anyone about us needing to leave. The ambiance in here is adorable. I loved all the arch ways, lighting, and brick patterns. This is a definite go-to place for me now. I can’t wait until it gets warmer out so I can sit out on the great patio.
