Braeswood Oaks Apartments

Possibly the worst managed apartment community I have ever lived in. The parent company isn’t much better.
The apartment management is about as good as turd in a toilet bowl. They are utterly useless. The word «communication» is not in their vocabulary. Nor is the sense of urgency. The property supervisor isn’t much better. I guess the management reflects those they work under. Pretty much all this company does is collect rent.
Laundry facilities are always out of order. They are out of order as I type this. Don’t let something need to be fixed in your apartment. It might take weeks before it is fixed. Been about 2 weeks from the time I typed this that my stove is out of order. The communication issue flows right down to the maintenance as well. If they can’t understand you, then it won’t get fixed right the first time if at all. Management tries to pass this off on the resident not letting them do their job. No, I don’t speak Spanish.
Property is overall dirty. You can attribute that to the type of residents who live in the complex. The apartments in the front look fairly decent. As you move towards the back, that all changes. Apartments on the backside look as if a bomb exploded. I know for fact the person who walks around in the morning to pick up trash never makes their way to the back of the complex.
Currently they are doing what they call renovations. A note was sent out saying something about «opening up the community.» Whatever that means. Well some genius decided the apartments no longer needed the fences around the patio areas. So now it is an open space with a big slab of concrete just chilling. First night I came home and 3 teenage kids were standing in what use to be my patio. Less than a foot from my window. Now if they do decide to install some sort of privacy structure, that wasn’t communicated in the letter. Oh yeah, they informed us of these changes less than 24hrs before the work began. That communication word rears its ugly head once again.
Also, the water boiler has gone out twice in less than a month. Including over Valentine’s Day weekend. Without out water for a total of 6 days. Do you think anyone in management cared. I’ll say NO with full confidence.
The security gates are always broke as well. They call themselves fixing them, but they are broke a day or two afterward. Can’t even have a false sense of security.
Did I mention roaches. Roaches everywhere, and I do mean everywhere. Apartment management is aware of this issue. Refuses to take any action.
Some folks try to place blame on the issues on the leasing agent in the office. She isn’t the problem. She is just the messenger for the most part. The problem lies with the manager & asst. manager. Those two could care less. If anyone wants to verify anything I have said in this post, I am more than happy to do that. I have certified letters, pictures and videos of all the issues with this apartment. The apartment management is well aware of all the actions I have taken. So please Unilocal,don’t flag this review.
