I find no negatives in this place. Always come here with my pup as they have a covered outdoor area. There’s always people here yet I manage to find a seat every time. The coffee is bold and strong just how I love it. I’ve had the cappuccino, latte and Mayan latte. I’m happy with all 3! The breakfast taco and the breakfast sandwich are very good. The yolk on the sandwich oozes out on your first bite giving it a nice saucy feel. The croissant is warm and the bacon crunchy. My mouth is watering thinking about it! I get the salad as a side. It’s arugula with Apple bites in a vinaigrette dressing. Very deliciously delicious! I’ve never used it for its wifi but as a place to catch up with a friend who lives in the area. If I lived close by this would def be my go to coffee shop.

Keep in mind this review is coming from the point of view of someone looking for a study spot, not just good coffee. I desperately want to give Boomtown a higher rating because the coffee is delicious, but I can’t get over the smell of cigar smoke that grossly permeates the whole place, my clothes, my belongings whenever I go. The coffee is good and WiFi is free but I cannot stay there long. The smell is one ding off 5 stars but it is also crowded on most days, parking can be difficult, and it is dark inside as well. Overall, would stop by if I am in the Heights and want coffee, but not a frequented spot of mine for the environment.

Wow! Such a great coffee shop, the barista was really friendly and actually took time to explain the coffee variety they have. Also had a great conversation with the barista and the coffee really hit the spot!!! I would definitely recommend this shop to my friends.

Good food. Ok coffee. Awful wifi. Rating would be higher but if you’re a coffee shop that advertises free wifi and has set up for work setting you can’t have crappy wifi. Chicken salad sandwich was good but drip coffee on refill was average at best.

First coffee place I’m trying in Houston and it was a great experience. I got the milk and honey latte. It was very good and had beautiful latte art(you eat with your eyes first, right?) The staff is very nice and the WiFi is very good. Definitely a great study spot and hangout spot. I will be trying the food here next time.

I gave this place a second try and tried a couple drinks they recommended but still don’t like how they make their coffee. It tastes really weird to me and not worth the price. I will say however, their service is really nice and they let me try a few samples before ordering. But all in all, I didn’t really like the crud, salted caramel mocha(was really salty…) and the $ 5 mocha. In my opinion, it’s missing lots of flavor that I want in coffee. Like that nice roasted coffee bean taste with a semi sweet and nutty flavor.

I decided to give this place a try because I was looking for something light for lunch. I searched«lunch» on my iPhone app and this place sounded the most interesting and had great reviews. This coffee shop is located in The Heights. I like the set up in the area, there was a parking lot across the street if you don’t want to park on the street. When I walked in, I was greeted by the barista. He was friendly and helpful when I was asking questions about the menu. I ordered the Boomtown BLT with a side salad for my side. The bacon was nice and crispy! The side salad was tasty as well. Not sure what kind of dressing is used but it was good. As my drink, I got a milk and honey iced latte. Pretty good too. Not complaints from me about this place. Leaning towards making this my go to spot to get away from work since I work like 8 minutes away from here!

Thinking back, I can’t recall any bad experiences I’ve had at Boomtown. Sure, the patio could be cleaned more often. And maybe their line could be speedier. But all can be forgiven. I usually go at least twice a month Sat/Sun mornings when they’re often at their busiest. Do not be surprised if you walk in and the line is almost to the door. Is it worth it? I guess that’s something one would need to figure out on his/her own. I would say ‘yes’ though. First off, your wait will probably be just as long at a nearby Starbucks. Secondly, have you ever experienced the joy of the first sip of a perfectly made iced milk and honey? Get your ass in line and wait it out. Who knows, you might enjoy some good people-watching in the process too.

The outdoor seating on a warm morning with one of their iced Toddys. It’s a scene from a movie. This is the coffee shop you come to to sit and enjoy the coffee, not rush off with a basic brew. The spot is cool as it displays art from local artists for sale. You have both indoor and shaded outdoor seating next the sidewalk for people watching. Strong wifi signal. Looks like they serve some good breakfast taco options too. Will have to try some on the next visit.

Houston Press voted Best Coffee in Houston 2014! Definitely worth finding parking and coming in despite the shortage of chairs and tables. Like all hippie coffee houses expect to pay $ 3.50+ for a custom iced or hot coffee cocktail ensemble. The Toddy’s here are the best I’ve had for Houston. The Sea Turtle was also very good; it is a mixture of chocolate, vanilla and caramel. The barista gave a sample of their Crud which is their take on Louisiana meets Vietnamese iced coffee. After tasting it I definitely should have gotten that instead. Next time I’ll need to add a crack rock to my drink which is a blend of their toddy, espresso, and agave.

Coffee and tacos. Love it! Ask for a crack rock. It’s basically an extra shot of expresso, frozen in cube with agave and other stuff. Pretty good. Come after 12 when their rush time is over. Service will be quicker.

Been to boomtown a few times and I am always at awe at its neat little neighborhood its in. Boomtown itself is in a strip center with extremely limited parking. The coffee and drinks weren’t outstanding and nothing note worthy, but not bad either. Prices are pretty standard I recently went on a Saturday afternoon where the temperature outside was around 65. Inside the fans were on high and made for a really cold atmosphere. Be sure to sit in the tables that are on the perimeter of the place if you fear the cold. Also I noticed a heavy cigar/cigarette scent constantly around, despite no body smoking on the patio. Then I realized there is a cigar lounge literally right next door. I suppose theres some ventilation leakage. The facility itself has a neat hipster feel to it as well, with metal chairs and small tables, but overall its not well kept. Frequently you’ll see crumbs and coffee stains on tables and bits of pieces of trash on the floor. Overall if you want to have a place to study this place isn’t bad. Bring a jacket even in the summer time and be ready to be sniffing cigar fumes.

The only downside to this place really is that it’s a bit chilly inside with all the fans, and it smells like smoke, which is a pretty big turn off for me. I’m teetering between 3 stars and 4 stars, because everything else was great, but I just really don’t like the smell of smoke. They don’t allow smoking inside, but many customers sit outside and smoke and it’s also right next to a cigar lounge, so the smoke still accumulates inside and the smell definitely lingers. The smoke really just knocked it down a star for me :( *shameless PSA– second hand smoke kills too* Outside of the negatives, I enjoyed everything else. This was a really hipster place to go and study. They have quite a bit of tables available to sit and study at, free wifi, good selection of drinks. Overall a solid study place/coffee shop. Good luck finding parking though, there’s not many places around, but once you do, take some time to explore the neighborhood! There’s plenty of places to walk around and explore!

My go-to for coffee since it’s close to work. Love the vibe I get when going into this coffee shop. There plenty of tables to use and pretty big open space. Their Mayan mocha is the bombbbbb!

This spot is great if you are in the area, otherwise it was kind of a drive for me. I came on a weekend feeling a little caffeine-deprived and a little hangry. Parking was just around the neighborhood. The moment I walked in, wow. the smell of coffee beans was awesome. I was then met with a decent-sized line of folks, possibly people who followed their noses in here. Looking around this trendy spot, most of the tables were taken up or waiting to be wiped down. The line moved quickly, but I was concerned the entire time that there would be nowhere to sit. Luckily, I got a spot after getting the Sea Turtle latte(which was caramel chocolate yumyums). I loved the quirky names, though I wonder still if the baristas ever get tired of explaining what each one is. :P We got a quiche, and unfortunately it was a miss. The crust was soggy and the whole thing was a little bland. I might give this place another try since their coffees are really, really good.

Who: myself Where/when: downtown Heights What: milk & honey w/almond milk Why: When I need to get work done, I need space, coffee, and a chill environment. For a moderately sized shop, this place makes good use of its space because of its high ceilings and openness to natural light. Great place to work and get Greenway coffee on a rainy day.

Love the Crud with crack rock! Has free wifi and conveniently located next to our fav cigar bar. Plenty of parking available. There is also outside seating. There are several shops and restaurants in the area that I frequent, but not before stopping by for my coffee fix here!

I’ve been to boomtown a few times and I love this place! Located in The Heights Boomtown has some of the best coffee I’ve had. I always get the Mayan Mocha(iced and hot are both delicious) and I also love the Cruddy Mocha. It can get crowded but they do an amazing job of keeping the lines moving and they get the coffee out real quick. I have always been able to get seats(it’s medium sized) and they have plenty of seating. Overall, I really like boomtown coffee! Parking tips: Across the street there is a big parking lot you can park at or fond street parking.

I went to Boomtown Coffee on an early Sunday afternoon with my girlfriend. We noticed that there was a big private parking lot across the street with some empty spaces; this is always a positive note for a Houston business. As we walked towards the coffee shop, we observed that there was an outdoor patio area with a bunch of tables and chairs. Unfortunately, as soon as I opened the front door, a blast of cigarette/cigar smell punched me in the face. It’s very noticeable. Their neighboring business, the Heights Cigar Lounge, doesn’t have a very effective ventilation system, and this definitely needs to be addressed. This coffee shop is very spacious and has many chairs and tables to sit at. Free Wi-Fi is provided as well. In the middle of the shop, there is a beautiful, giant blackboard with their coffee menu. This is the best part about Boomtown; there’s a variety of quality coffee to choose from. I went with the Iced Mayan Mocha, and my girlfriend went with the Chocolate Toddy. These drinks were delicious, but we had to escape the smell and drink them outside on the patio. I would go with a 5-star rating, but I can’t get over how bad this place smells. What to order: –Iced Mayan Mocha Pros: –Extensive Coffee Menu –Free Wi-Fi –Spacious with many tables to sit –Outdoor patio –Private parking lot across the street Cons: –Reeks of cigarette/cigar smoke from the neighboring business(Heights Cigar Lounge)

Coffeeshop among the charming shops and restaurants of W 19th Street in the Heights! First off — the coffee is great. I’ve honestly never had better iced coffees in my life. Don’t miss the iced capp. It’s shaken in a cocktail shaker(rather than just pouring ice into the cup of coffee) — and it’s a dream. Seriously. They also serve breakfast and lunch(both all day), with vegetarian and vegan options. Sadly, they forgot my order(boomtown taco), but when I went to ask what happened — they offered to make me another taco on the house or comp a dessert. They were really nice about it — and it seemed like something that doesn’t happen often. The taco itself was good — but due to the ingredients(cheese, fried egg, black beans, and avocado), the taco was heavy and quite wet. The flavor was great, but a single corn tortilla can’t hold up to those wet ingredients or weight. I ended up having to eat it with my fork. The mishap with my food order definitely won’t stop me from going back. I want another iced capp immediately!

2. Ambiente y muebles muy cómodos 3. Wifi gratis 4. Servicio rápido y atento ¿alguna duda?
