Eporder everything. Seriously. Just walk right in, take 5 hours out of your day and order half orders of everything and tip well. This place is fantastic! If you love your southern crawfish and creole classics, this is the spot

My friends and I went here on a Friday night to satisfy our crawfish craving along with showing one of our friends what’s she’s been missing out on. My friend and I shared 5lbs of crawfish(currently $ 35). It includes one corn and 2 potatoes so of course we had to add another order of corn. I also love to dip my crawfish with a mayo concocted sauce, so that added another $.75 to the tab. It also helps out with maintaining the level of heat since I wanted the medium spice level. I will say that after the crawfish has been soaked in the spices, it gets a little salty In comparison to Ragin Cajun on Richmond, I like Ragin Cajun more due to the seasoning. Random tips: 1. This place is BYOB, but there is a place across the street that sells alcohol. 2. If you’re craving King cake, they sell Gambinos King cake by the slice and whole. 3. Parking is kind of a pain since there’s limited parking at the restaurant, but you can parallel park on one of the side streets 4. They also have a drive thru.

Really good crawfish and you have to get the Eggrolls. Can’t beat byob at a quick and easy place like this. Went for the first time this weekend and they crayfish were already a decent size. Can’t complain about any of thing here will come back.

I’m from South Louisiana & The Boil House has THE best crawfish I’ve ever had — hands down! I was working in La for a few days last season & I had a craving for some good mudbugs but I wouldn’t eat any there! I can’t believe I actually waited to come back to Houston to eat them here instead! Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Wayne &TS(& their staff) definitely know what they are doing!

The best damn crawfish I’ve ever had in 59 years on this earth. Thank you, Wayne, can’t wait till next year. You may need a bigger boat! I am proud to have been your last customer for the season. Next year I plan to be the first! Have a great summer guys! I’ve been to Porch Swing, Woodrow’s, Ragin Cajun, BB’s, and some other places not worthy to be in the same sentence as you and nobody comes close to you in size, flavor and atmosphere. Size of crawfish, Wayne! Don’t get any funny ideas. Thanks.

I’m a bit picky when it come to crawfish. I’m from Louisiana and prefer to boil my own. For those times when I don’t feel like pulling out all of the equipment this is my go to place. There are a lot of places in Houston that think they know how to boil. I was so tired of $ 8 per pound crawfish with no flavor and loaded up with seasoning on the outside! What good is the seasoning on the outside!!! Finding the boil house has been awesome. These guys really know what they are doing and get good flavor in the tail meat. They also cook them just right for peeling. These aren’t the best crawfish I’ve had but they are very good and by far the best I’ve had in Houston. I will be back.

Awesome! So great, delicious, what other word can describe how good these crawfish are! Reminds me of when I was a kid eating crawfish in Louisiana. These guys know exactly what they are doing. Place is small, get there early to eat as it fills up fast. Not many choices here but you can get bold shrimp if you have non crawfish(say whaaaat???) eaters. Boudin egg rolls is a great idea, but the boudin they buy is flavor-less. But the homemade pepper jelly that it comes with makes up for it. This is the best place intown for crawfish, forget the rest come to the best!

Crawfish! Bam! The menu is simple — how many pounds of crawfish can you handle and how spicy?! Flavors are solid, the critters are fresh, and fixings are delicious. We got crawfish and shrimp. For the price, I would stick to crawfish next time. The crawfish tasted much better and you can get shrimp elsewhere all-year-round. The hottest level of spiciness is worth trying! It packs a punch, but is more than tolerable. We ended up getting the egg rolls and sausage too. For $ 3.50 each, it was a good deal for the money. This place is BYOB. There’s some parking behind the building(if you follow the«drive through» sign) and off to the side, along with street parking of course. All and all, I am a crawfish happy lady!

It didn’t disappoint! I had high expectations walking in and it lived up to the hype! Crawfish are perfectly seasoned and my fiancée said the shrimp were the best she has ever had. I’m an enormous fan of mudbugs and this will become a regular stop for us. Stop across the street at the small convenient store and customize your own six pack.

Short and sweet because i want everyone to read this… Just go! This is what i ordered: Crawfish: cooked perfect Shrimp: the best I’ve ever had from any crawfish place — seriously so good. Sauce: so yummy i wanted to dip everything in that shit. Very small, but went on a Saturday around 4:00 and got a spot with no problem. Its BYOB and the convenient store across the street has a lot of craft beers to chose from. My new go to place for crawfish for sure.

I love places that only do one thing because they do it so well. The crawfish is absolutely delicious. The meat is so well-seasoned from the boil that no dips or additional flavoring are needed. Because there is no butter to weigh you down, you can eat more! The smoky sausage was enormous, but it wasn’t anything special. The boudin egg rolls had great flavor and crunch. This little open-air shack is minimalist with«indoor» and outdoor seating. Quite a few mosquitoes nibbled on me after the sun went down, so mosquito magnets are advised to wear some insect repellent. For those who aren’t plan-aheaders but who still want to take advantage of BYOB, Heights Liquor is down the block and across the street.

CRAWFISHSEASON! Cant get enough of it. We came here Friday night right when they opened at 5. Brought our coolers of beer and prepared to camp out, catch up with friends, and go to town on some mudbugs. I ordered the boudin eggrolls first and proceeded to eat them all by myself, despite the fact that there were 3 boys sitting at the table. Hey, I was hungry and they were that delicious. Then we ordered 3 lbs of crawfish. 2 lbs normal, 1 lbs medium spicy. We were all sweating by the end, but it was a good burn. Then we got pretty brave and ordered 1 lbs of the spiciest, despite being warned that they were HOT. They were hot but not unbearable. Then again we didn’t suck the heads(haha), so theres still that if you want something extra. Overall, definitely worth trying out. Not my fav in the city but for the BYOB and chill atmosphere, definitely worth it!

This is the best place for crawfish in Houston. None of that boil with no seasoning and then sprinkle seasoning on top crap here. Fresh Louisiana crawfish boiled in Cajun seasoning and served up hot with corn and potatoes. For those of you who like it very spicy like me, try the«lips swollen» spice level. Don’t worry, you can also get them mild. The shrimp are delicious as well and some of the easiest peeling shrimp I’ve ever had. Also, boudin egg rolls. Links of boudin stuffed into an egg roll shell and deep fried. It’s a nice twist on eating boudin. The seating is a little limited, but it works and also feels like a crawfish boil. It’s a crawfish boil; it’s supposed to be messy. You don’t sit at your good table with a load of crawfish. It’s BYOB at the Boil House, so bring some beer and sit down to the best crawfish in the area.

My favorite, favorite crawfish place in Houston. After years of eating butter-garlic crawfish, my arteries had had enough. I began searching for a crawfish place which SOAKED its crawfish in seasoning(authentic Louisianan style, I’ve realized), rather than merely mixing crawfish with seasoning in a bag. This place delivers, hands down. Juicy, perfectly cooked and seasoned crawfish. No seasoning on the shells, but that meat tho… mmm! I usually skip claws and eat only head/body, but I couldn’t resist and went for everything. I didn’t even need dipping sauce. And then there were the boudin eggrolls. Each order comes with two, so I think next time I’m gonna order…200000 orders. Just kidding, maybe 10 orders. Just for me. It was incredible. The sweet chili dipping sauce that comes with the eggrolls is amazing. I can’t wait to go back. I called around 4:30pm on a Friday to place a to-go order for pickup at 6 p.m. It took about an hour to get home, but the crawfishies were still nice and warm(I made sure not to open the bag till I got home). THANKYOUBOILHOUSE! Excuse me while I go downgrade my Unilocal ratings for all the other crawfish places I’ve reviewed.

Five Stars all the way! This place is amazing and I am so thankful that they have chosen the Heights. Nothing like it in town! Picnic tables out front and 6 tables inside. It’s also BYOB, but non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. Make your order then wait at a table for your name to be called. Bring your own sauce if needed and wet wipes for convenience. The owner was realistic about wait time and very personable. Worth the wait! We will be back! Thanks Boil House for a great experience!

All I can say is if your from Louisiana, you have finally found yourself a down home place for boiled crawfish in Houston! I swear it’s been a struggle to find a good place that serves crawfish like boiled at home in the backyard but baaaaaaby when I tell you! Thanks to Unilocal my gf and I stumbled across this hidden gem and decided to give it a try yesterday. I’m soo glad we did because it definitely met our expectations! We got 5lb. Platter(comes w/corn & potatoes) as well as 1lb. of shrimp and boudin egg-rolls!(MUSTTRY w/in-house pepper jelly) WoW! Such an amazing combination who would’ve thought. Did I mention it was BYOB! Also, there are always little NOLA treasures you can buy at the counter to remind you of the city. Even got to engage in some down to earth conversation with the owner Wayne! He is super cool, funny, and nothing short of southern charm. He definitely gained two regulars yesterday. Can’t wait to go back!

The crawfish was spicy AND flavorful, not just hot for the hell of it. The boudin egg rolls were pretty delicious too. There are about 6 tables inside and another 3 or 4 outside(long tables to sit family style). This place is run by New Orleans natives who know what they’re doing, and they’re super friend and check on every table to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves. It’s byob so be sure to stop at the store first, and get a piece of king cake at the end. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal!
