As part of Cullen’s, I have been here a few times for various events. Sometimes corporate events, a private party, as well as New Years Eve. They have all the elements of a good bar or night club. Good music and sound system, decent size dance floor, full service drinks. Nothing to complain there. Things that I think take away from its potential is the layout. It’s two stories, where the upstairs feels away from the downstairs(kind of like a lounge). So it’s not really part of the overall atmosphere. Downstairs is very tight, not much room to stand(can feel crowded and awkward). Upstairs they will bring up some of their bar elements for service so you don’t have to go down but are frequently out of something I might order. Service is usually good, occasionally it’s overwhelmed and you can’t find your server. Prices are average to a little high, but it is going for upscale, not discount dive bar so I get that. The best part I’ve enjoyed is the upstairs to visit with your friends. Given the current space, I don’t think it could ever become the«it, happening» bar. In order to overcome this, they might need to remodel into existent space where other parts of the bar and restaurant currently reside. But as I said, it’s serves it’s purpose and is a place I don’t hesitate to head to if others are there. It’s just not a place I’d visit regularly or suggest for a group I was heading up.

They advertise as a sports bar. I went there during MLB playoffs and they were playing dance videos on all the screens. I asked if they were going to show the game and they said«no» it was Ladies Night(or something to that effect). Looked like a nice place, but definitely not a sports bar. Seems more like a disco meat market.
